MODE CONTROL PANEL FROZE IN FLIGHT, WITHOUT THE ABILITY TO CHANGE ANY MODE (COURSE) ALT, HLD, SPEED, N1, HDG SEL, LNAV, VNAV, FD MASTER SIDE. AUTO THROTTLE CONTINUED TO WORK. AUTO PILOT A OR B WOULD NOT ENGAGE. AFTER GROUND IDLING FOR 1.7 HR SUSPECT SMOKE IN COCKPIT, NOTIFIED ATC SHUT DOWN A/C AND EVACUATED A/C NO FIRE FOUND. R & R MCP IAW AMM 22-11-34, DFCS OPS CHECK PASS IAW AMM 22-11-01 NO DEFECTS NOTED, CLEANED EVIDENCE OF GLYCOL FROM LH RAM AIR DUCT IAW AMM 20-30-83 REMOVED SMOKE FROM AIR CONDITIONING SYS IAW AMM 21-00-00 OPS CHECK AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM PASSED IAW AMM 21-00-00 NO DEFECTS NOTED

LOW PRESSURE HYDRAULIC LIGHT ILLUMINATED ON ELECTRIC PUMP #1, "B" SIDE. R AND R SYSTEM "B" EMDP IAW AMM 29-15-22, OPS AND LEAK CHECK GOOD IAW AMM 29-15-00.
AT 14500 FT AUTO FAIL AND STANDBY LIGHTS CAME ON. I CALLED FOR THE QRH, AS MY F.O. STARTED THE QRH FOR CABIN ALTITUDE LIGHT AND HORN CAME ON. I IMMEDIATELY STARTED A DECENT FROM 15000 FT TO 10000 FT, WE RAN THE QRH AND WAS NOT ABLE TO MAINTAIN CABIN ALTITUDE AT ALL DURING DECENT. ADJUSTED AND SECURED WATER EXTRACTOR DUCT ON RIGHT HAND PACK IAW B737 AMM 21-51-32, PERFORMED OPERATIONAL CHECK IAW B737 AMM 21-31-00 OPS CHECK AND LEAK CHECK GOOD.
LOST L/H PAC INFLIGHT. CORRECTIVE ACTION & OTHER PERTINENT INFORMATION: RESECURED L/H PACK CLAMP ON CONDENSER IAW B737 AMM 20-50-11 PRESSURIZED L/H AND R/H PACK SYSTEM IAW B 737 AMM 36-05-00. LEAK CHECK GOOD. PER GROUND OPERATIONAL CHECK OF L/H & R/H PACK SYSTEM IAW B737 AMM 21-00-00 OPS CHECK GOOD.
AIRCRAFT DOOR FAULTY INDICATION. CREW WAS ALERTED TO HIGH SOUND AIR FLOW AND A PRONOUNCED SOUND OF THE ENGINES.
