EMERGENCY LIGHTS TURNED ON DURING THE FLIGHT IN THE ARMED POSITION. LATER IN THE FLIGHT, THE EMERGENCY LIGHTS STARTED FLICKERING. REPLACED BATTERIES. OPS CHECKED GOOD. IAW AMM 33-52-01.
TAXIING THE AIRCRAFT, WHEN BRAKE PRESSURE IS APPLIED THE AIRCRAFT DOES NOT STOP OR SLOW DOWN UNTIL THE PEDALS ARE PUSHED ALMOST ALL THE WAY IN AND THEN THERE'S VERY ABRUPT BREAKING ACTION. NO CAS MESSAGES ARE ASSOCIATED.
REPEAT WRITE UP. EMER LIGHTS ILLUMINATE INTERMITTENTLY WHEN CONTROL SWITCH IS MOVED FROM OFF TO ARM. ALSO ILLUMINATE WHEN SWITCH IS IN THE ARM POSITION DURING ENGINE START. CORRECTIVE ACTION: REPLACED #1 BATTERY PACK. OPS CHECK GOOD. PHENOM 300 AMM 33-52-01
CABIN EMERG LIGHT: EMER LIGHTS REMAIN ILLUMINATED WITH SWITCH IN THE ARM POSITION. CORRECTIVE ACTION: REPLACED EMERGENCY LIGHTING IMPACT SWITCH. OPS CHECK GOOD. IAW EMB-505 AMM 33-52-17.
AVIONICS INTEGRATION (IAC, NIC PROC, MAU, GEA, IAPS): ON BASE LEG TO LANDING WE GOT AMBER X'S ON ENGINE, FUEL, FLAPS AND TRIM. ALONG WITH AN AURAL ALTTITUDE ALERT TONE. ALSO ALL THREE LANDING GEAR INDICATIONS TURNED RED AFTER THE BEFORE LANDING CHECK WAS COMPLETED. ALL THESE INDICATORS ILLUMINATED FOR ABOUT TWO SECONDS THEN ALL RETURNED TO NORMAL REMOVED AND REPLACED GEA 2. UNIT REPLACED IAW EMB PHENOM 300 AMM 31-41÷03-400-801-A. PERFORMED SOFTWARE / CONFIGURATION UPLOADING FOR GEA 2 IAW EMB PHENOM 300 AMM 31-41-03-470-801-A. PERFORMED GEA 2 OPERATIONAL TEST !AW EMB PHENOM 300 AMM 31-41÷03-710-801-A. OPS CHECKS ARE SATISFACTORY. NO DEFECTS NOTED ON ANY LRU'S. ALL INDICATIONS ON PFD 1, PFD 2, AND MFD ARE VISIBLE WITH NO RED X'S.
AIRFRAME VIBRATION: WHILE DECENDING BETWEEN 24000 AND 15000 FEET AND AT SPEEDS OVER 280 KNOTS THERE IS A NOTICABLE VIBRATION/HUM. SEALED FWD WING TO FUSELAGE FAIRING IAW EO "E50-53-001_1" AND FOUND LAV SERVICED DOOR LATCH RECEPTICAL TO BE WORN ALLOWING DOOR TO MOVE AROUND AND NOT SIT FLUSH WITH THE FUSELAGE. SEE DISCREPANCIES 2.6 AND 2.7 FOR MORE DETAILS. REMOVED AND REPLACED WORN OIL SERVICE DOOR LATCHES WITH NEW UNITS IN REFERENECE TO OIL SERVICE DOOR DRAWING# 505-36325 AND PHENOM 300 SRM 51-41-02.
CABIN EMERG LIGHT: DURING PREFLIGHT OF THE EMERGENCY CABIN LIGHTS I PUT THE SWITCH INTO THE ARM POSTION BEFORE MOVING TO THE ON POSITION. THE LIGHTS IN THE ARM POSTION SHOULD COME ON THEN TURN OFF WITHIN SEVERAL SECONDS. THE LIGHTS STAYED ON IN THE ARM POSITION INSTEAD. AIRCRAFT HAS BEEN ON A GPU FOR ABOUT 25 MINS AT THE TIME. //SIGNOFF// PERFORMED FIM TASK 33-50-00 AND TROUBLESHOT ISSUE TO NUMBER 2 EMERGENCY BATTERY REMOVED AND REPLACED #2 EMERGENCY BATTERY AND PERFORMED OPERATIONAL CHEKS OF EMERGENCY LIGHTS. OPS CHECK GOOD AT THIS REF EMB505 AMM 33-52-01
AFTER START WITH EMER LIGHT SWITCH IN ARM EMER LIGHTS NOT ARM CAS MESSAGE DISPLAYED. AFTER POH RESET PROCEDURE EMER LIGHTS STAY ON WHEN IN ARM POSITION. A FULL POWER RESET OF THE AIRPLANE DID NOT CORRECT THE ISSUE. "CORRECTIVE ACTION" REMOVED DEFECTIVE AFT EMERGENCY BATTERY PN 640-13560-00 SN 000803 AND INSTALLED CUSTOMER SUPPLIED MODIFIED EMERGENCY BATTERY PN 640-13560-00 SN 000826. COMPLIED WITH OPS CHECK, NO DEFECT NOTED. ALL WORK ACCOMPLISHED PER EMB PHENOM 300 AMM 33-52-00.
WHILE COMPLYING WITH EMBRAER SB 505-55-0004 FOUND THE FOLLOWING FLIGHT CONTROL BALANCE WEIGHTS NOT ACCEPTABLE AND REQUIRING REPLACEMENT: LH ELEVATOR HORN WEIGHT P/N PE915109-L42; TWO RT ELEVATOR ADJUSTABLE WEIGHTS P/N PE915109-L33; AND TWO LT ELEVATOR ADJUSTABLE WEIGHTS P/N PE915109-L33.
WHILE CLIMBING THROUGH FL 250, NOTICED A ACRID HOT ODOR. IT PROGRESSIVELY GOT WORSE OVER A MATTER OF 15 SECONDS. WE ASKED OUR PASSENGERS IF THEY SMELLED IT TOO AND THEY VERY EMPHATICALLY SAID YES. TO US IT SMELLED LIKE THE INITIAL LIGHTING OF A CIGARETTE WITH A MATCH, BUT LIKE IT WAS GETTING HOTTER AND SMELLIER. THE PAX WERE NOT SMOKING. THERE WAS NO VISIBLE SMOKE IN THE COCKPIT OR CABIN. WE DECIDED TO DIVERT TO TPA. ON DECENT THE ODOR DISSIPATED. APPROACH AND LANDING WAS NORMAL. AFTER SHUTDOWN THE FIREFIGHTERS CHECKED THE PLANE WITH IR AND FOUND NO HOTSPOTS. ASKED FOR THE FIREFIGHTERS TO SEE IF THEY COULD DETECT ANY ODORS IN THE CABIN. SAID IT SMELLED LIKE A NEW CAR. OUR PASSENGERS BOTH SAID IT SMELLED LIKE A HOT CIGARETTE. COULD NOT DETECT ANY SPECIFIC AREAS WHERE THE ODOR LINGERED. FOUND IT WAS COMING FROM THE GASPER IN THE COCKPIT WHEN IT INITIALLY STARTED. PERFORMED AMM 21-20-00-810-801-A SMOKE/ABNORMAL SMELL IN COCKPIT/CABIN . NO FAULTS FOUND. EMM 72-00-01-810-835 OIL SMELL/ CABIN ODOR. NO FAULTS FOUND. INSPECTION OF BLEED DUCTS FOR OIL OR DEBRIS. NO FAULTS FOUND. CLEANING OF HEAT EXCHANGER. NO FAULTS FOUND. INSPECTED BOTH WINDSHIELD TERMINAL BLOCKS AND WINDSHIELD HEAT CONTROLLERS. NO EVIDENCE OF HEAT DAMAGE NOTED. INSPECTED THE BLEED PLUMBING IN THE BAGGAGE AREA FOR OIL OR DEBRIS, NONE FOUND. AIRCRAFT WILL BE RELEASED FOR OCF.
AT FL410, CAS MESSAGE FOR SWPS FAULT AND SPOILER FAULT ILLUMINATED. YELLOW X DISPLAYED ON FLAP AND TRIM INDICATORS. COMPLIED WITH FLAP FAIL QRC. FLAPS INOPERATIVE. REMOVED AND REPLACED THE NR 1 FCE IAW AMM 27-03-01-000-801-A. PERFORMED ALL APPLICABLE OPS CHECKS, NO FAULTS NOTED.
