ATA 2421

ACFT EXPERIENCED A RT ENGINE GENERATOR FAILURE. GENERATOR WOULD NOT RESET. WHILE DIVERTING THE FUEL PUMPS CAME ON AUTOMATICALLY, THE IGNITERS CAME ON, LOSS OF POWER, AND ENGINE VIBRATION ON THE RT ENGINE. THE CREW DECIDED TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY AND LANDED. ACFT LANDING WAS UNEVENTFUL. FUEL OBSERVED LEAKING FROM THE RT ENGINE. MX R & R RT STARTER GENERATOR, CARBON SEAL AND RUNNER. R & R BROKEN ENGINE FUEL LINE FROM THE FCU TO THE OIL/FUEL HEAT EXCHANGER. REPLACED ALL FIXED RIGID FUEL LINES. ENGINE RUNS AND LEAK CHECKS WERE GOOD.

ON DESCENT, THE CARGO SMOKE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE CHECK LIST WAS FOLLOWED AND AN EMERGENCY WAS DECLARED. ACFT LANDING WAS UNEVENTFUL. NO SIGNS OF SMOKE IN CARGO BAY. MX INSPECTED THE SMOKE DETECTORS NO DEFECTS NOTED. ENGINE RUNS WERE PERFORMED WITH BLEED AIR SELECTED ON, NO SMOKE NOTICED. SYS OPS CHECKED GOOD. ACFT RETURNED TO SERVICE.

INBOUND, THE CREW RECEIVED A LT MAIN GEAR UNLOCK INDICATION AND BEGAN A DIVERSION. THE CREW EXECUTED THEIR CHECKLIST AND CONFERENCED WITH MX AND MFG ENGINEERING TO TROUBLESHOOT. LT MAIN STILL FAILED TO INDICATE DOWN. THE GEAR WAS BLOWN DOWN AND THE CREW PERFORMED A FLYBY AND THE TOWER INDICATED THE GEAR APPEARED DOWN AND LOCKED. ACFT LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT AND THE ACFT WAS TOWED TO THE FBO. ON SITE, MX TROUBLESHOT AND FOUND DEFECTIVE PCB THAT CAUSED BULB TO BLOW OUT IN LT GEAR ANNUNCIATOR. PCB REPLACED, GEAR BLOW-DOWN BOTTLE WAS RESET LANDING GEAR RETRACTION TEST PERFORMED SATISFACTORILY. ACFT RETURNED TO SERVICE.

ON THE APPROACH, THE FLAP HANDLE WAS MOVED FROM 0 TO 15, THE HYD LIGHT REMAINED ILLUMINATED AND FLAPS DID NOT REACH THE FLAPS 15 POSITION. THE HYD FLOW LOW LT & RT LIGHTS ILLUMINATED AND THE FLAP HANDLE WAS MOVED BACK TO ITS ORIGINAL POSITION. THE CREW RAN THE CHECKLIST FOR EMERGENCY GEAR EXTENSION AND NO FLAP LANDING, DECLARED AN EMERGENCY AND DIVERTED. LANDING WAS UNEVENTFUL. MX REPLACED A BROKEN FLAP EXTEND HYD LINE, BLED THE SYS, SERVICED THE EMERGENCY N2 BOTTLE AND CYCLED GEAR AND FLAPS. OPS AND LEAK CHECK GOOD. ACFT RETURNED TO SERVICE.

ON APPROACH, WHILE DECENDING, CREW OBSERVED BAGGAGE SMOKE WARNING ANNUNCIATION. FOLLOWING AFM PROCEDURES, CREW DECLARED EMERGENCY AND DIVERTED WHERE EMERGENCY EQUIPMENT WAS STANDING BY. AFTER LANDING, CREW PULLED OFF RUNWAY ON TO TAXIWAY AND WITH THE PASSENGERS,EVACUATED THE ACFT. ON SITE MX FOUND THE FWD BAGGAGE AREA CLEAR AND NO SIGNS OF SMOKE OR FIRE. THE AFT BAGGAGE ARE HAD AN ODOR LIKE ELECTRICAL OVERHEATING SUSPECTING THIS THE CAUSE OF THE WARNING. THE AFT SMOKE DETECTOR WAS REPLACED AND OPS CHECKED SATISFACTORY. ACFT WAS RETURNED TO SERVICE.
