Maintenance disclosures
ON FINAL AND CLEARED TO LAND WE RAN THE BEFORE LANDING CHECKLIST. WHEN WE PUT THE GEAR HANDLE DOWN WE ONLY GOT 2 GREEN LIGHT INSTEAD OF THREE. THE RIGHT MAIN GEAR LIGHT DID NOT COME ON. WITH PLENTY OF DISTANCE AND TIME, WE RECYCLED THE LANDING GEAR AND AGAIN ONLY HAD THE 2 GREEN LIGHTS. AT THAT POINT WE CALLED THE TOWER AND LET THEM KNOW WE HAD A PROBLEM. THEY SAID WE COULD DO A FLY BY AT THE TOWER SO THEY COULD VISUALLY SEE IF WE HAD ALL THREE GEAR DOWN. THEY SAID ALL THREE LANDING GEAR APPEARED TO BE DOWN. WE CHECKED THE ROTARY TO TO CONFIRM THE GEAR LIGHTS. THE RIGHT MAIN GEAR LIGHT STILL DIDNâT COME ON. AT THAT POINT WE PULLED OUT THE LANDING GEAR WILL NOT EXTEND CHECK LIST. âH1â. AFTER WE COMPLETED THE CHECKLIST THAT HAD US BLOW THE GEAR DOWN. THE LANDING WAS UNEVENTFUL
ENROUTE, CREW DETECTED STRONG ODOR OF OIL IN COCKPIT. CREW THROTTLED BACK THE ENGINES AND HEARD A NOISE COMING FROM THE LT ENGINE AREA. THE LT ENGINE OIL PRESSURE DROPPED AND AND A STRONGER ODOR WAS NOTICED. CREW ELECTED TO SHUTDOWN LT ENGINE, DECLARE AN EMERGENCY AND DIVERT FOR A LONGER RUNWAY LANDING. SHORTLY AFTER ENGINE SHUTDOWN, THE ODOR BEGAN TO DISSIPATE. ACFT LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT AND IS CURRENTLY IN MX UNDEGOING INSP.
CLIMBING THROUGH FL250, BAGGAGE SMOKE LIGHT CAME ON. STAYED ON THROUGH LANDING. DIVERTED PERFORMED FUNCTIONAL CHECK OF BOTH FWD AND AFT SMOKE DETECTORS, THEY CHECKED GOOD. REMOVED INSPECTED AND REINSTALLED BOTH SMOKE DETECTORS, INSPECTED WIRING ADJACENT TO BOTH DETECTORS NO DEFECTS NOTED. SMOKE DETECTION SYSTEMS CHECKS NORMAL AND AIRCRAFT RETURNED TO SERVICE. (K)
LIGHT SMOKE IN CABIN, THEN LT ENG MADE A LOUD POPPING SOUND, LOW OIL PRESSURE ILLUMINATED AND ENGINE ROLLED BACK, SHUTDOWN IN FLIGHT. AFTER LANDING, FOUND THAT ENGINE HAD LOST OIL. (COMING OUT OF TAIL PIPE, DRAIN MAST AND SG EXHAUST). AC CURRENTLY IN MAINTENANCE. WILL UPDATE UPON COMPLETION OF MAINTENANCE. (K)
