Maintenance disclosures
THE PILOT WAS EN-ROUTE AND WAS ACQUIRING TEND MONITORING DATA AND NOTICED THAT THE RT ENGINE HAD EXCESSIVELY HIGH OIL TEMPERATURE. THE PILOT FOLLOWED THE ABNORMAL PROCEDURES CHECKLIST AND PERFORMED AN IN-FLIGHT SHUTDOWN OF THE RT ENGINE. HE RETURNED TO DEPARTURE AND DECLARED AN EMERGENCY AND LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT. MAINTENANCE INSPECTED AND TROUBLESHOT THE RT ENGINE AND DISCOVERED THE RT PROPELLER GOVERNOR HAD EXTERNAL LEAKS. MAINTENANCE REMOVED THE PROPELLER GOVERNOR PN 897410-16, SN 1488586 AND INSTALLED A SERVICEABLE UNIT. PERFORMED RIGGING AND LEAK CHECKS AND OPERATION WAS NORMAL WITH OIL TEMPERATURE AND PRESSURES WITHIN LIMITS. NO SUBSEQUENT DIFFICULTIES HAVE BEEN REPORTED.

FLT 3482 - DURING TAXI, ELEVATOR JAMMED WHILE CREW PERFORMED FLIGHT CONTROL CHECK. TAKEOFF ABORTED. MAINTENANCE REMOVED AND REPLACED SAS SERVO. OPS CHECK GOOD. (M)
FLT 3479 - ON APPROACH INTO DTW, RIGHT MAIN GEAR DID NOT INDICATE DOWN AND LOCKED. CREW CYCLED GEAR TWICE AND DID GET DOWN AND LOCKED INDICATION. AIRCRAFT LANDED IN DTW WITH NO INCIDENT. MAINTENANCE REPLACED RIGHT OUTBOARD MAIN LANDING GEAR ACTUATOR. (M)

DURING A SCHEDULED INSPECTION IN MSP, THE LEFT WS 27 AFT FLAP WELL RIB P/N 27-31080 WAS FOUND CHAFFED BY THE FLAP SWING LINK. BLENDED OUT CHAF DAMAGE AND INSTALLED A REPAIR DOUBLER AS PER EA 01-96132, AND LAR 92-MALA-107. (M)
FLT 3451 - IN CRUISE FLIGHT TO AZO, THE CABIN DOOR LIGHT ILLUMINATED IN FLIGHT. THE AIRCRAFT DIVERTED TO AZO. MAINTENANCE INSPECTED THE CABIN DOOR SWITCHES AND BAYONETS. NO DISCREPANCIES NOTED. MAINTENANCE WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE DISCREPANCY. ALL CHECKS SATISFACTORY. (M)

REPAIRED DAMAGE BY REMOVING DAMAGED GAS STRUT MOUNT HOLE (1.625 INCH BY 1.825 INCH), FABRICATING, TREATING, AND INSTALLING A REPAIR ANGLE, REPAIR PLATE, AND FILLER IAW FAIRCHILD ARP 53-20-9503. (X)
DURING AN INSPECTION IN MSP, FOUND FUSELAGE SKIN DENTED AFT OF CARGO DOOR BETWEEN FS 512 AND FS 530.810, JUST BELOW WL 75. DENTED AREA DIMENSIONS 8 INCHES BY .375 INCHES. FABRICATED A REPAIR DOUBLER (13 INCHES BY 5.25 INCHES ) AND INSTALLED IAW FAIRCHILD SRM 53-90-20 REPAIR NR 14, PGS 61-64. WEIGHT AND BALANCE CHANGE IS NEGLIGIBLE. (M)
FLT NR 3369 - DURING APPROACH TO DTW, THE NOSE GEAR DOWN AND LOCKED LIGHT DID NOT ILLUMINATE UPON GEAR EXTENSION. THE CREW RECYCLED THE GEAR TWICE AND THE LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE AIRCRAFT CONTINUED TO DTW AND LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT. MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL CLEANED THE NOSE GEAR POSITION SWITCHES. ALL SYSTEMS OPERATED SATISFACTORILY. (M)
FLT NR 3236 - DURING APPROACH TO MSP, THE RIGHT MAIN LANDING GEAR GREEN DOWN AND LOCKED LIGHT DID NOT ILLUMINATE FOR 30 SECONDS AFTER THE GEAR WAS SELECTED DOWN. MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL WERE UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE DISCREPANCY, BUT REPLACED THE DOWNLOCK SPRINGS AS A PRECAUTION. ALL SYSTEMS OPERATED SATISFACTORILY. (M)
DURING A SCHEDULED INSPECTION IN MSP, MAINTENANCE NOTED A CRACK IN THE PASSENGER DOOR AT THE LEFT CORNER AT THE NUT PLATE FOR THE HAND RAIL BRACKET. REPAIRS WERE COMPLETED BY REPLACING THE CORNER, P/N 27-24044-010 IAW FAC SRM 51-00-00 PG 4 AND 51-40-01. (M)
DURING SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE IN MSP, THE RIGHT FLAP WALKING BEAM ROLLER DOUBLER, LOCATED AT WS 27.0 WAS FOUND TO BE WORN. REPAIRS WERE COMPLETED BY REPLACING THE DOUBLER, P/N 27-31141, IAW FAC SRM 57-90-10 PAGES 45 AND 46, AND FAC ARP 57-20-9424. (W)
FLT 3065 - DURING THE LANDING ROLL IN DTW, AT APPROXIMATELY 40 KNOTS, THE AIRCRAFT VEERED TO THE RIGHT WITH THE NOSE WHEEL STEERING BUTTON PUSHED. THE AIRCRAFT CONTINUED TO THE GATE. MAINTENANCE REPAIRED A DEFECTIVE WIRING SECTION. SYSTEM OPERATED SATISFACTORILY. (Z)

LNK - FLT 3222 - IN CRUISE, THE LT RPM GAUGE BEGAN TO FLUCTUATE. NO OTHER ENGINE FLUCTUATIONS NOTED. THE ACFT RETURNED TO MSP. MAINTENANCE WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE DISCREPANCY. THE SYSTEM OPERATED SATISFACTORILY DURING A TEST FLIGHT. (W)
