COMPLETED A TAXI CHECK OF THE AIRCRAFT WITH NO MORE CHATTERING IN THE BRAKES. LEAK AND OPS CHECK GOOD WITH NO DEFECTS NOTED. ALL WORK DONE IAW EMB 505 AMM TASK 32-40-00-870-801-A
ON APPROACH AND AFTER SELECTING GEAR DOWN, THE BRK FAIL YELLOW CAS MESSAGE DISPLAYED. WE EXECUTED A GO-AROUND, LEFT THE GEAR DOWN, COORDINATED TRAFFIC PATTERNS WITH ATC AND RAN THE ASSOCIATED QRH. AFTER BURNING FUEL TO REDUCE WEIGHT SOME MORE, WE LANDED AND APPLIED EMERGENCY BRAKES AND STOPPED ON RUNWAY. NO BLOWN TIRES. PERFORMED LANDING GEAR UPLOCK BOX AIR BLEEDING TASK, PERFORMED MAIN HYDRAULIC SYSTEM BLEED OF AIR. STARTING WITH STICK PUSHER ACTUATOR TEST, MAIN BREAK SYSTEM, SPRING LOADED RUDDER BOOSTER SYSTEM TEST, MULTIFUNCTION SPOILER HYDRAULIC POWER CONTROL UNIT TEST AND EMERGENCY PARKING BRAKE SYSTEM TEST. WORK DONE WITH IAW AMM 27-36-00, 32-41-00, 32-43-00, 27-23-00,27-65-00, 32-31-05 VERIFIED A/C IS IN A SAFE POSITION AND PREPARED FOR GEAR SWINGS. PERFORMED MULTIPLE GOOD LANDING GEAR EXTENSIONS AND RETRACTIONS. NOTED SMOOTH UP AND DOWN MOVEMENT WITH NO OBSERVED DEFECTS. WORK PERFORMED REF AMM 32-31-00
CABIN EMERG LIGHT: CABIN OVERHEAD EMERGENCY FLOOD LIGHT INOP. NUMBER TWO (MIDDLE) OF THREE. BEGAN TROUBLESHOOTING, GAINED ACCESS AND REMOVED # 3 AND #4 EMER/COURTESY LIGHT IAW AMM 33-26-01, PERFORMED WIRES CHECK BEHIND THE CONNECTOR FOUND THEY ALL GETTING POWER IAW WM 33-50-50. NOTICED THE CONNECTOR P 1616 CAN NOT IDENTIFIED ON THE WM 33-50-50, COMPARE THE CONNECTOR # 3 LIGHT & #4 LIGHT, FOUND #3 LIGHT CONNECTOR HAS AN EXTRA PIN IN IT, AND ALSO THAT EXTRA PIN PRODUCE AN EXTRA 28V POWER TO THE LIGHT, BUT ON THE # 3 LIGHT CONNECTOR SIDE ONLY HAS 3 PINS( 2 POWERS AND 1 GROUND). ALSO NOTICED THE ORDINARY SEATBELT SIGN THAT FACING TO THE AFT OF CABIN ALSO NOT WORKING. RESEARCH OF THE WIRE MANUAL AND FOUND OUT CONNECTOR P1616 IS ACTUALLY BELONGS TO THE ORDINARY SEATBELT SIGN IAW WM 33-23-50. SWAPPED THE CONNECTORS BETWEEN # 3 EMER/COURTESY LIGHT AND THE ORDINARY SEATBELT SIGN IAW WM 33-23-50, WM 33-50-50 & AMM 33-23-01, PERFORMED OPS CHECK OF EMERGENCY LIGHT SYSTEM IAW AMM 33-50-00, OPS CHECK GOOD. PERFORMED OPERATIONAL TEST OF PASSENGER WARNING SIGN IAW AMM 33-23-00. OPS CHECK GOOD. REINSTALLED BACK THE MER/COURTESY LIGHT #3 AND #4 IAW AMM 33-26-01. REINSTALLED THE ORDINARY SEATBELT SIGN IAW EMB AMM 33-23-01. NOW LIGHT AND SIGN ARE CONNECTED PROPERLY AS REQUIRED AND BOTH OPS CHECK GOOD . C/W FOD CHECK AND FOD CHECKS GOOD, ALL ACCESSED CLOSED UP AND AIRCRAFT RETURNED TO PROPER CONFIGURATION.
WHILE DESCENDING TO IAH ALL THE SUDDEN WE STARTED FEELING VIBRATION AND LOUD HUMMING SOUND WHAT SOUND LIKE A LOOSE LAV CAP. UPON INSPECTION AFTER LANDING, LAV CAP IS INTACT BUT THE RIGHT SIDE FLAP SEAL IS BEING PUSHED DOWN BY RIGHT INBOARD FLAP. CORRECTIVE ACTION; FOUND LEFT AND RIGHT INBOARD FLAP SEALS HANGING DOWN AND NOT FLUSH TO FLAPS. REMOVED AND REPLACED LEFT AND RIGHT INBOARD FLAP SHROUD PANELS IAW EMB300 MM 57-54-00.
EMERGENCY LIGHTING: EMERGENCY LIGHTS WERE ILLUMINATED IN THE ARM POSISTION WITH ALL ELECTRICAL BUSES OPERATING NORMALLY. ATTEMPTED RESET PROCEDURE IN THE POH WITHOUT LUCK. CORRECTIVE ACTION: REPLACED EMERGENCY BATTERIES. OPS CHECK GOOD. IAW PHENOM 300 AMM 33-52-01.
EMER LT NOT ARM YELLOW CAS: IN ARMED POSITION CAS MESSAGE SAYS NOT ARMED AND EMERGENCY LIGHTS ARE ON. CORRECTIVE ACTION: REMOVED AND REPLACED BOTH FWD AND AFT EMERGENCY BATTERIES IAW EMB-300 AMM 33-52-01 AND OPERATIONAL CHECHED IAW EMB-300 AMM 33-52-01-710-801-A. IN CRUISE NOTICED CABIN EMER LIGHTS ON WITH SWITCH IN ARM POSITION. LATER, CABIN EMER LIGHTS BEGAN TURNING ON AND OFF RAPIDLY. PERFORMED TROUBLESHOOTING OF THE EMERGENCY LIGHTS BY CHARGING BATTERIES FOR 60 MINUTES TO TOP CHARGE. BATTERIES STAYED ILLUMINATED. ISOLATED EACH BATTERY POWER SUPPLY BY REMOVING EACH ONE AT A TIME. FOUND THE AFT POWER SUPPLY TO BE FAULTY. NOTIFIED MCC OF FINDINGS. REMOVED AFT BATTERY & INSTALLED TESTED BATTERY IAW AMM 33-52-01. OPS CHECK GOOD.
EMERGENCY LIGHTING: ENROUTE EMERGENCY LIGHTS ILLUMINATED IN THE ARMED POSITION AND REMAINED ON STEADY THROUGH DURATION OF FLIGHT. ONLY WAY TO EXTINGUISH THEM IS IN THE OFF POSITION. TROUBLESHOT PER FIM 33-30-00-810-801-A/200 AND FOUND THE NUMBER ONE EMERGENCY BATT WAS BAD. REMOVED AND REPLACED NUMBER 1 EMERGENCY BATT REF AMM 33-52-01. OPS CHECK GOOD AT THIS TIME.
FUSELAGE STRUCTURE: LOUD HUMMING NOISE/VIBRATION COMING FROM CABIN NEAR SEAT #4. ABOVE FL380 AND AT CRUISE SPEED. REMOVED AND REPLACED FLAP SEAL ON PANEL 532AB IN REFERENCE TO EMB PHENOM 300 SRM 51-40-00. S
CABIN EMERGENCY LIGHTS PAX ADVISED CABIN EMERGENCY LIGHTS WERE FLICKERING. ITEM PREVIOUSLY WORKED BY GAMA PBI "GAINED ACCESS TO THE CABIN APPLIED POWER AND FOUND NO FAULTS WITH THE EMER LIGHTS. WHILE I WAS THERE THE CREW CAME BY AND ADVISED THEY THOUGHT THE PASSENGERS- STATED THE FORWARD CABIN AREA LIGHTS WERE FLICKERING. REF EMBRAER THIS IS AN INDICATION OF A FAILING BATTERY PACK. RESEARCHED EMB505 IPC 33-52-01-01 , ITEM 10A FOR P/N: 6450LS-00. RECEIVED MODIFIED BATTERY PACK, REMOVED AND REPLACED PACK ALL OPS CHECKS -GOOD REF EMB505 AMM 33-52-01.
DURING ACCOMPLISHMENT OF EMBRAER SERVICE BULLETIN 505-55-0004 REV 01 (DATED 06/24/2020) WE NOTED THE FOLLOWING MASS BALANCE WEIGHT BELOW TOLERANCE AT LEFT ELEVATOR: HORN MASS WEIGHT PART NUMBER PE915109-L42 (1 EACH BELOW MINIMUM OF 1095G), WEIGHT HAS BEEN REPLACED WITH A NEW MASS WEIGHT AND THE ELEVATOR BALANCING WAS PERFORMED WITH NO FURTHER DEFECTS NOTED.THE ELEVATOR WAS RE-IDENTIFIED TO PART NUMBER 505-11082-601 AS PER SERVICE BULLETIN INSTRUCTIONS. WE ALSO NOTED THE FOLLOWING RIGHT ELEVATOR MASS BALANCE WEIGHTS BELOW TOLERANCE: ADJUSTABLE WEIGHTS PART NUMBER PE915109-L33 (7 EACH BELOW MINIMUM OF 84G), HORN MASS WEIGHT PART NUMBER PE915109-L42 (1 EACH BELOW MINIMUM OF 1095G), ALL WEIGHTS HAS BEEN REPLACED WITH A NEW MASS WEIGHTS AND THE ELEVATOR BALANCING WAS PERFORMED WITH NO FURTHER DEFECTS NOTED.THE ELEVATOR WAS RE-IDENTIFIED TO PART NUMBER 505-11082-602 AS PER SERVICE BULLETIN INSTRUCTIONS. THIS REPORT COMPLIES WITH FAA 14 CFR PART 135 OPERATORâS GMM REQUIREMENTS.
