THE MAINTENANCE TEAM FOUND THE RIGHT ROLL TRIM INOP DURING POST FLIGHT CHECKS. IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE RIGHT ROLL TRIM ACTUATOR WAS DEFECTIVE. THE ACTUATOR WAS REMOVED AND REPLACED WITH AN OVERHAULED UNIT. OPS CHECKS WERE SATISFACTORY AND THE AIRCRAFT WAS RETURNED TO SERVICE
DURING A D CHECK INSPECTION, FOUND HORIZONTAL STABILIZER RIBS CRACKED AT HSS 350. PERFORMED A BORESCOPE INSPECTION OF THE HORIZONTAL STABILIZER RIBS IAW CHAPTER 55-10-00 IN THE MODEL 400 & 400A MM. FOUND A TOTAL OF 7 RIBS WITH CRACKS, 2 45A2112-0005, 2 45A2113-0005, 2 45A21101-0011 & 1 45A21116-0005. AD 2014-15-15 & THE 400 & 400A AIRWORTHINESS & LIMITATION MANUAL, TACK CODE 045505 REQUIRE INSPECTION OF THE HORIZONTAL STABILIZER RIBS PRIOR TO THE ACCUMULATION OF 7,400 HOUR INITIAL WITH RECURRENT INSPECTIONS EVERY 2,400 HOURS.
THE CREW REPORTED THE WEATHER RADAR AS INOPERATIVE. TROUBLESHOOTING FOUND THE RADAR UNIT DEFECTIVE. PN 622-8440-003 SN 2091. TOTAL TIME & CYCLES IN SERVICE OF RADAR, 58.1 TT & 42 TC AFTER AN OVERHAUL DATED JULY 01 2014.
THE LT ENG ANTI-ICE ANNUNCIATOR WOULD NOT ILLUMINATE WHEN THE SYS WAS ACTIVATED. EXTENSIVE TROUBLESHOOTING FOUND THE LT ENG WIRING HARNESS PN 3052134-01 SN AA87179 DEFECTIVE. A NEW WIRING HARNESS OF THE SAME PART NUMBER WAS INSTALLED. FUNCTIONAL CHECKS WERE SATISFACTORY. THE ACFT WAS RETURNED TO SERVICE.
DURING THE CLIMB AFTER TAKEOFF THE CREW REPORTED THAT THE LT EFC FAILED. ONCE THE ACFT WAS IN CRUISE FLIGHT THE EFC WAS RESET & NO FAULTS WERE NOTED UNTIL THE DESCENT FOR LANDING WHERE THE EFC FAILED ONCE MORE. TROUBLESHOOTING FOUND THAT THE LT ENG PROBE HARNESS PN 3052134-01 TO BE INTERMITTENT. THE DEFECTIVE HARNESS WAS R & R WITH A NEW CONDITION HARNESS. OPERATIONAL CHECKS WERE SATISFACTORY & THE ACFT WAS RETURNED TO SERVICE.
THE CREW REPORTED THAT ON 2014/01/26 THAT THE YAW DAMPENER DISENGAGED DURING FLIGHT WHILE IN TURBULENCE, THE NR 1 FCC CARD WAS REPLACED WITH A TESTED UNIT PN 822-1019-313 & SN 1C68V. FUNCTIONAL CHECKS WERE SATISFACTORY & THE ACFT WAS RETURNED TO SERVICE. THE CREW REPORTED AGAIN THAT THE YAW DAMPENER DISENGAGED DURING FLIGHT. TROUBLESHOOTING IDENTIFIED THE NR 1 FCC CARD SN 1C68V AS DEFECTIVE & WAS REPLACED WITH A OVERHAULED UNIT. FUNCTIONAL CHECKS WERE SATISFACTORY & THE ACFT WAS RETURNED TO SERVICE.
