REPLACED MIXER DIODE CR202. REPAIRED PROBLEM. UNIT QUIT RECEIVING AFTER WARM UP. FOUND PROBLEM TO BEON PRESELECTOR SIDE OF UNIT. REPLACED PRESELECTOR. FOUND UNIT NOT FIRING UP. MOVED COILS IN LOCAL OSCILLATOR. NO HELP.

ON POST FLIGHT FOUND CLICKING NOISE EMINATING FROM TRUNNION CLAMP RING AREA. SUSPECT TRUNNION BEARING LOOSE IN YOKE, CAUSING NOISE WHEN BLADES ARE FLAPPED. MORE NOTICEABLE AFTER FLIGHT WHEN WARM, NOISE DIMINISHES AS YOKE COOLS. REPAIRED AND INSPECTED BY OVERHAUL SHOP.

ON DAILY INSPECTION FOUND PITCH LINK TUBE PORTION WAS BENT AT UPPER END.
TRANSMISSION OIL PUMP LEAKING.
ROTOR BRAKE PUCK SEPARATED.
CABLES NR P7A8 AND NR P7B8 IN THE CIRCUIT BREAKER PANEL AREA HAVE TERMINALS CRACKED. (REF: DESIGNATOR 2TB1) DUE TO THE STRESSES PUT ON THE CABLES DURING THE OPENING AND CLOSING OF THE OVERHEAD CIRCUIT BREAKER PANEL. THE TERMINAL ENDS COULD POSSIBLY SEVER CAUSING A MAJOR POWER FAILURE. ANOTHER POSSIBILITY IS THAT ONE CABLE COULD FAIL AND CONTACT THE AIRFRAME PRODUCING SEVERE ARCING. REPLACED AFFECTED TERMINAL ENDS.

ON DAILY INSPECTION, FOUND ONE DISK CRACKED ON THE AFT END OF THE #5 TAIL ROTOR DRIVESHAFT. CRACKED DISK WAS ON THE AFT OUTBOUND SIDE OF THE DISK PACK ASSEMBLY.
TUBE ASSEMBLY WAS CHAFED BY LABEL TAG RUBBING ON IT.
FUEL LOW LIGHT STAYS ON UNTIL BATTERY SWITCH IS CYCLED.
UP STOP WORN AND HAS EXCESSIVE PLAY.
UPON COMPLYING WITH A 300 HOUR/3 MONTH T/R GEARBOX PITCH CHANGE MECHANISM LUBE, FOUND GREASE ZERT ON PITCH CHANGE HOUSING WOULD NOT ACCEPT GREASE. DISASSEMBLED PITCH CHANGE MECHANISM. ON INVESTIGATION FOUND BEARING 206-011-731-001 IN PITCH CHANGE HOUSING DID NOT HAVE A HOLE IN GREASE CHANNEL TO ALLOW GREASE INTO THE NEEDLE BEARING AREA. REMOVED BEARING AND INSTALLED SERVICEABLE BEARING.
TAIL ROTOR GEARBOX PITCH CHANGE MECHANISM WOULD NOT TAKE GREASE. BELL REPRESENTATIVE HAS CONFIRMED THAT BEARING RACE DID NOT HAVE REQUIRED HOLE. BELL HAS CHANGED BEARING MANUFACTURERS. THIS BEARING IS FROM NEW MANUFACTURER. VENDOR: PITCH LIGN RBC. VENDOR P/N : HRBC-ORSJ-7133.1. NOTE: THIS BEARING IS USED IN ALL 206L SERIES AND 407 AIRCRAFT UNDER P/N 206-011-731-001.
