WHILE COMPLYING WITH PHASE 35 OF THE MM INSPECTION PROGRAM AND SID 32-20-01, ON THE LT SIDE OF THE NOSE WHEEL WELL JUST AFT OF THE DRAG BRACE ATTACHMENT, WE FOUND THE LT BRACKET, PN 5213028-200 TO HAVE ALL 3 RIVETS SHEARED THAT ATTACH THE BRACKET TO THE GUSSET, PN 5213028-12 AT FS 70.0. IPC REF, 53-10-00, FIG 01, PAGE 4, DETAIL C, ITEM 156. REMOVED THE BRACKET AND INSPECTED FOR BUCKLING AND CRACKING, NONE FOUND. INSTALLED NEW BRACKET IAW MM CHP 51.
WHILE COMPLYING WITH PHASE 35 OF THE MM AND SID 32-20-01, ON THE RT SIDE OF THE NOSE WHEEL WELL JUST AFT OF THE DRAG BRACE ATTACHMENT, WE FOUND THE RT TEE, PN 5213028-15 TO HAVE A 1" CRACK THROUGH THE UPPER RIVET AND EXTENDING TO THE NEXT RIVET THAT ATTACHES THE BRACKET TO THE GUSSET, PN 5713061-2 AT FS 70.0. IPC REF, 53-10-00, FIG 01, PAGE 4, DETAIL C, ITEM 157. REMOVED THE BRACKET AND INSPECTED FOR BUCKLING AND CRACKING, NONE FOUND. INSTALLED NEW BRACKET IAW MM CHP 51. THIS INSPECTION WAS PREFORMED 994 LANDINGS SINCE THE PREVIOUS INSPECTION. INSPECTION INTERVAL IS 1000 LANDINGS.
DURING INSPECTION PHASE 51, UP ELEVATOR CABLE, PN 5815103-6 WAS FOUND TO HAVE 3 COMPLETE STRANDS BROKEN. LOCATION OF THE BREAKS IS UNDER THE PULLEY, PN S378-4 AT FS 292.05. THE PULLEY WAS INSPECTED AND IT WAS FOUND TO BE FREE ROLLING. NO OBVIOUS MECHANICAL DEFECT WAS FOUND TO HAVE CAUSED THE BREAK.
CRACK FOUND IN AFT RADIUS OF OTBD ACTUATOR LUG DURING EDDY CURRENT INSPECTION IAW PHASE 24 INSPECTION. PREVIOUSLY INSPECTED BY EDDY CURRENT 27.2 HOURS PRIOR.
