ENGINE REMOVED FOR NR 5 BEARING UPGRADE. THE BEARING EXHIBITED SPALLING OF OUTER RACE AT SPLIT. REPLACED THE BEARING.
ENGINE REMOVED 7-31-15 DUE TO METAL IN OIL. CAUSE DETERMINED TO BE TURBINE NR 5 BEARING SPALLING ON OUTER RACE. PART SUBMITTED FOR MFG WARRANTY CREDIT ON FAA 1439578661314. PART WILL BE RETURNED TO MFG FOR FAILURE INVESTIGATION.
ENGINE REMOVED 3-20-15 DUE TO METAL IN OIL. NR 5 BEARING EXHIBITS SEVERELY SPALLED BALLS, OUTER RACE AND DAMAGED SEPERATOR. INSTALLED NEW N R5 BEARING. PART WILL BE RETURNED TO ROLLS ROYCE FOR FURTHER EVALUATION.
