WHILE PERFORMING LIGHTED BORESCOPE INSPECTION PROCEDURE AS OUTLINED IN TEXTRON MEL-54-02R3 TO SATISFY AD2017-10-09, A CRACK WAS VISUALLY IDENTIFIED ON THE INBOARD VERTICAL LEG OF THE LEFT HAND OUTBOARD NACELLE FITTING. THIS CRACK MEASURES APPROXIMATELY .138 INCHES LONG AND IS CONSISTENT WITH OTHER CRACKS IDENTIFIED USING THIS METHOD. THE LAST LIGHTED BORESCOPE INSPECTION WAS COMPLIED WITH AT 26525.3 HRS. TOTAL TIME. SCHEDULED NDT AS NOTED IN CESSNA SUPPLEMENTAL INSPECTION DOCUMENT (SID) 57-10-16 WAS LAST PERFORMED AT 26513.7 HRS. TOTAL TIME. THIS FITTING HAS BEEN REMOVED AND REPLACED USING NEW PARTS.

DURING SCHEDULED NDT INSPECTION AS NOTED IN SID 57-10-16, A CRACK WAS NOTED ON THE RIGHT HAND INBOARD NACELLE FITTING P/N: 5292029-30. THE CRACK MEASURES .125 INCHES LONG AND IS CONSISTENT WITH OTHERS FOUND USING THE LIGHTED BORESCOPE INSPECTION TECHNIQUE (TEXTRON MEL54-02R3). THIS CRACK WAS NOT VISUALLY IDENTIFIED DUE TO PRIMER ON THE FITTING IN THE AREA. THE LAST LIGHTED BORESCOPE INSPECTION TO SATISFY AD 2017-10-09 WAS PERFORMED AT ACTT: 26476.4 AND 16415 CYCLES. THIS FITTING WILL BE REPLACED USING NEW PARTS.

NUMBER 5 EXHAUST LIFTER BORE ALUMINUM SLEEVE IN THE CRANKCASE WAS FOUND TO BE LOOSE & MISSING MATERIAL. THIS CRANKCASE HAD THE LIFTER BORES SLEEVED DURING CRANKCASE OVERHAUL & REPAIR. THE LOOSE LIFTER BORE SLEEVE MOVED OUT OF ITS BORE & CAME IN CONTACT WITH THE CAMSHAFT LOBE, RESULTING IN A LOSS OF 1/3 OF THE SLEEVE MATERIAL. THIS ALUMINUM SLEEVE MATERIAL, FRAGMENTS TOO LARGE TO PASS THROUGH THE OIL SUMP PICK UP TUBE, RESTRICTED THE OIL PICK UP & CAUSED AN ENG LUBRICATION DISTRESS EVENT.

PILOT REPORTED THAT SHORTLY AFTER TAKEOFF THE ACFT HAD A COMPLETE ELECTRICAL FAILURE. THE PILOT ELECTED TO RETURN TO THE DEPARTURE AIRPORT AND LANDED THE ACFT SAFELY. WHEN INSPECTED BY MX A BATTERY RELAY WAS FOUND SHORTED TO GROUND. THE BATTERY RELAY WAS REPLACED. FOLLOWING THAT, WHEN POWER WAS APPLIED TO AIRCRAFT, MX FOUND THE RT STARTER ANNUNCIATOR ILLUMINATED AND VOLTAGE ON RT STARTER CABLE. THE STARTER RELAY WAS R & R IAW MM 80.
