ENGINE REMOVED 10-14-14 DUE TO METAL IN OIL. NR 5 BEARING REMOVED DUE TO POSSIBLE SPALLING AT OUTER RACE SPLIT. REPLACED WITH NEW PART AND RETURNED TO MFG FOR FURTHER EVALUATION.
TURBINE REMOVED DUE TO METAL IN OIL. UPON INSPECTION OF NR 5 BEARING FOUND SPALLING ON OUTER RACE. REPLACED WITH NEW.
ROOF PANEL WAS FOUND TO BE CORRODED (1PL) COMMON TO TRANSMISSION PYLON SHIM INSTALLATION. THE ROOF PANEL ASSY WILL THEN BE REPAIRED IAW THE FAA-APPROVED REPAIR DATA.
FWD LOWER SHELL ASSY WAS FOUND TO BE CORRODED (1PL).
ENGINE REMOVED FOR TURBINE O/H. NR5 BRG EXHIBITED SPALLING ON OUTER RACE AND BALLS. REPLACED NR5 BRG.
