Maintenance disclosures
THE FLIGHT CREW REPORTED THAT THE CABIN ENTRY STEPS SIDE SUPPORT BRACKET (PART THAT SUPPORTS STAIRS UNDER/AGAINST FUSELAGE) IS RUBBING ALONG BODY, SCRATCHING PAINT AND NOT ALIGNING WITH SUPPORT STOP. THE MAINTENANCE TEAM DETERMINED THAT THE SIDE STAY SUPPORT HAD CRACKED AND FAILED. A NEW SUPPORT WAS INSTALLED AND ADJUSTED. THE AIRCRAFT WAS THEN RETURNED TO SERVICE.
THE FLIGHT CREW REPORTED UPON AIRCRAFT SHUTDOWN FOUND THE MFD NO1 REMAINED POWERED ON AFTER AIRCRAFT BATTERIES WERE TURNED OFF. THE MAINTENANCE VENDOR TROUBLESHOT AND FOUND RELAYS 3931K3 AND 3931K4 DEFECTIVE. THE RELAYS WERE REPLACED WITH NEW. FUNCTIONAL CHECKS WERE SATISFACTORY. THE AIRCRAFT WAS RETURNED TO SERVICE.
A FLIGHT WAS CANCELLED AFTER THE FLIGHT CREW WAS UNABLE TO START THE NR 1 ENGINE. THE FLIGHT CREW PUSHED THE STARTER BUTTON AND NOTED NO ENGINE ROTATION. THE MAINTENANCE VENDOR TROUBLE SHOT AND DETERMINED THAT THE NR 1 STARTER/GENERATOR WAS DEFECTIVE. THE S/G WAS REPLACED WITH AN OVERHAULED UNIT.
A FLIGHT WAS CANCELLED DUE TO THE RIGHT ENGINE WOULD NOT START. THE FLIGHT CREW REPORTED THAT THE ENGINE STARTER WOULD SPIN, BUT WAS NOT ENGAGED WITH THE ENGINE FOR ROTATION. THE MAINTENANCE VENDOR TROUBLESHOT AND DETERMINED THAT THE STARTER/GENERATOR WAS DEFECTIVE. THE UNIT WAS REMOVED AND AN OVERHAULED UNIT WAS INSTALLED. OPERATIONS CHECKS WERE SATISFACTORY AND THE AIRCRAFT WAS RETURNED TO SERVICE.
