LEFT ENGINE SHUT DOWN ON ITS OWN AS WE PULLED POWER BACK FOR INITIAL DESCENT FROM FL430. FIRST INDICATION WAS N1 READING ZERO. NEXT INDICATION WAS A GENERATOR FAIL, WARNING LIGHT. OIL PRESSURE WAS NOW AT 9 PSI. NO VIBRATION NOTED. SUCCESSFULLY RESTARTED ENGINE USING STARTER ASSIST PROCEDURE PER SOP. EXTERIOR INSPECTION AFTER LANDING SHOWED NORMAL OIL LEVEL AND NO OIL BYPASS INDICATION. DOWNLOADED ENGINE ECTM DATA, SENT FOR ANALYSIS. WE WERE RECOMMENDED TO REPLACE THE FDU'S. THIS COINCIDES WITH WISB73-1040R3 - FUEL DELIVERY UNIT REPLACEMENT. WE COMPLIED WITH THE RECOMMENDED CHANGES AND OPERATIONAL CHECKS WERE GOOD. NO FURTHER ISSUES NOTED.
