ON APPROACH, AT APPROXIMATELY 7,000 FT, AN INTERMITTENT INDICATION OF FIRE ON THE NR 2 ENGINE. AFTER A FEW SECONDS THE INDICATION CAME BACK AND REMAINED ON. SHUTDOWN ENGINE AND DISCHARGED ONE ENGINE FIRE EXTINGUISHER. UNEVENTFUL LANDING.
