PILOT PERFORMED EMERGENCY LANDING IN SAT DUE TO RT ENGINE ERRATIC OIL PRESSURE. INITIALLY WHEN LEAVING MMIO OIL LEVEL WAS GOOD. AFTER LANDING & CHECKING OIL IN KLRD IT APPEARED ENGINE LOST APPROXIMATELY 1.5 QUARTS. DURING CLIMB OUT FROM KLRD OIL PRESSURE DROPPED INTO THE YELLOW ARC. FLICKERED IN THE YELLOW ARC, & WITHIN APPROXIMATELY 2 MINUTES IT REACHED THE RED LINE AND STARTED PRODUCING THE OIL WARNING. FOLLOWED QRH PROCEDURE &PERFORMED RT ENGINE SHUTDOWN. AFTER LANDING, PILOT CHECKED THE OIL LEVEL & IT COULD NOT BE SEEN IN THE SIGHT GLASS. DETERMINED, DUE TO EXTREMELY HIGH OIL CONSUMPTION, ENGINE WOULD BE REPLACED. R & R RT ENGINE. ENG RUN CHECKS & LEAK CHECKS ALL GOOD. ACFT RETURNED TO SERVICE.
DURING CRUISE FLIGHT, GOT A MASTER WARNING AND THE OIL PRESSURE FOR RT ENGINE BEGAN TO FLICKER AND EVENTUALLY DROPPED BELOW 40 PSI. FOLLOWED QRH PROCEDURE & PREFORMED ENGINE SHUT DOWN. PILOT DID DECLARE AN EMERGENCY. DIVERTED TO MMIO, LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT. MAINTENANCE TRAVELLED TO MMIO AND TROUBLESHOT RT ENGINE FOR OBVIOUS DAMAGE & LEAKAGE. MAINTENANCE FOUND OIL LEVEL SIGHT GAUGE EMPTY. SERVICED SEVEN QUARTS OF OIL. MECHANIC RAN RT ENGINE FOR 30 MINUTES AT 80%, OPS & LEAK CHECKS WERE PERFORMED DURING RUN. FOUND NO ISSUES. AFTER SHUTTING DOWN MECHANIC INSPECTED AREAS AGAIN FOR LEAKS. NO LEAKS WERE NOTED, & ALL OPS CHECK FOUND GOOD. DID NOT IDENTIFY ANY FAULTY COMPONENTS OR ISSUES AT THIS TIME.
DURING INITIAL CLIMB, AT ABOUT 1,000 FEET AGL, LH PROPELLER INADVERTENTLY FEATHERED. WE PERFORMED MEMORY ITEMS, FOLLOWED BY QRH. ENGINE PARAMETERS RETURNED BACK TO NORMAL. CREW RETURNED BACK TO BQN. MAINTENANCE REMOVED AND REPLACED LEFT HAND HMU WITH OPS AND LEAK CHECKED GOOD ON GROUND.
THE FLIGHT CREW REPORTED THAT AT APPROXIMATELY 800-1000' AGL, THE LT PROPELLER INADVERTENTLY FEATHERED. THE FLIGHT CREW RAN THE "INADVERTENT PROPELLER FEATHER" QRH AND WAS ABLE TO UNFEATHER THE PROPELLER, PERFORMED A PRECAUTIONARY AIR RETURN WITH BOTH ENGINES OPERATING. UPON LANDING, THE LT EEC ALSO FAILED WHEN SELECTING REVERSE. MAINTENANCE FOUND THE LEFT ENGINE HYDRO MECHANICAL UNIT (HMU) BEHAVING ERRATICALLY CAUSING THE LEFT ENGINE TORQUE TO FLUCTUATE. THE FLUCTUATING TOQUE WAS THE CAUSE OF THE LEFT PROP FEATHERING AS THE AUTO FEATHER SYSTEM SENSED LOW TORQUE ON THE LEFT ENGINE. REPLACED LEFT ENGINE HMU WITH A SERVICEABLE UNIT. GROUND RUNS PERFORMED AND FOUND SATISFACTORY. AN OPERATIONAL CHECK FLIGHT OF THE AIRCRAFT WAS PERFORMED AND WAS SUCCESSFUL.
THE FLIGHT CREW REPORTED THAT DURING INITIAL CLIMB OUT AT APPROXIMATELY 500 FEET, THERE WAS A PARTIAL LOSS OF POWER ON THE LEFT HAND ENGINE. THIS LOSS COULD BE BOTH FELT AND HEARD, AND WAS ACCOMPANIED BY A SLIGHT DROP IN TORQUE AND A SIGNIFICANT DROP IN PROP SPEED. THE CREW REQUESTED TO REMAIN IN CLOSED TRAFFIC, COMPLETED THE "ENGINE FAILURE IN FLIGHT CHECKLIST", THEN THE "PRECAUTIONARY ENGINE SHUTDOWN CHECKLIST," AND FINALLY THE "ONE ENGINE INOPERATIVE APPROACH AND LANDING CHECKLIST." THE CREW THEN REQUESTED FROM THE TOWER TO RETURN FOR LANDING AND ONCE CLEARED, PERFORMED A SINGLE-ENGINE LANDING AND RETURNED TO THE RAMP. MAINTENANCE FOUND THE RIGHT ENGINE TORQUE SIGNAL CONDITIONER WAS SENDING A FALSE SIGNAL TO THE LEFT ENGINE CAUSING THE LEFT PROPELLER TO GO TO FEATHER. REPLACED THE RIGHT ENGINE TORQUE SIGNAL CONDITIONER. PERFORMED GROUND RUNS, PROPELLER OPERATIONAL CHECK WAS NORMAL. TIME IN SERVICE ON THE TORQUE SIGNAL CONDITIONER IS UNKNOW. THIS IS AN ON CONDITION PART.
