DURING A SCHEDULED 50 HOUR TAIL BOOM INSP, A CRACK WAS FOUND ON THE VERTICAL STABILIZER. THE CRACK IS 6 INCHES LONG THROUGH THE AFT WEB BETWEEN THE AFT CAP ANGLES RIVET TO RIVET, AT APPROX WL118. THIS TAILBOOM INSP SPECIFICALLY CALLS FOR A CRACK INSP OF THIS AREA. THIS ACFT IS PRE CSN 76-220A, WHICH IS THE FIX FOR THIS PROBLEM. PRE CSN 76-220A ACFT REQUIRE A REPETITIVE 50 HOUR INSP OF THIS AREA, POST CSN 76-220A MOVES THIS INSP TO 300 HOUR REQUIREMENT.
ELT DEFECTIVE INERTIA, G SWITCH TOO SENSITIVE. SENT TO ARTEX FOR REPAIR. FOUND ELT MOUNTED AT 45 DEGREES, SHOULD BE HORIZONTAL. TESTED IAW ARTEX PROCEDURES, REINSTALLED BATTERY PACK.
LEADING EDGE CRACKED AWAY FROM FIBERGLASS. SENT TO CTI. INSPECTED IAW SA4047-76-5 REV 11; REPLACED ABRASION STRIP IAW RS-005N-III. REPAIRED SKIN AT LEADING EDGE AND DOUBLER JUNCTION IAW RS-005N-X111. REPLACED BOTH FORWARD INTERNAL DOUBLERS AND REB ON D C CHANNEL IAW DRWG NR 76150-09043 SPEC 38023-15000; MODIFIED EXTERNAL DOUBLERS IAW RS-017-1; REPAIRED SKIN BLISTERS IAW RS-005N-11; REMOVED FOD IAW ORI 76150-50-005 SECTION IX REV N; REFINISHED IAW DRWG NO 76150-09043; STATIC BALANCE IAW RS-005N-VI.
SPAR HAS A FIBERGLASS SPLINTER STICKING OUT AND LEADING EDGE STRIP IS CRADKED ON ONE BLADE. AREA OF SPLINTER UT INSPECTED PER 2ATI 3098, NO DELAMINATION FOUND SPLINTER REMOVED AND REPAIRED BY CTI.
