TIGHTEN THE NUT AND THE PRECATCH HANDLE STOPPED SPINNING. CLOSED ACCESS. LUBED ALL THE LINKAGES AND MOVING PARTS RELATED TO THE PRECATCH HANDLE. THE AIRCRAFT WENT INTO MAINTENANCE WITH ANOTHER VENDOR WHO PERFORMED A MLG CAMBER CHECK AND FOUND THE CAMBER OUT OF ADJUSTMENT. UPON FURTHER INSPECTION, TECHS FOUND THAT THE KEYLOCK WAS NOT ENGAGED IN THE ACTUATOR SHAFT. DURING SUBSEQUENT INVESTIGATION BY DUNCAN, IT IS DETERMINED THAT THIS IS NOT AN ISOLATED INCIDENT TO JUST THIS AIRCRAFT. RESEARCH HAS INDICATED THAT AT LEAST 4 DIFFERENT LOOSE ROD END JAM NUTS HAVE BEEN FOUND LOOSE DURING INSPECTIONS PERFORMED BY DUNCAN DATING BACK TO 2024. MOST RECENTLY A 5TH AIRCRAFT, N565QS, ARRIVED OCT 12 WITH A LOOSE JAM NUT. EXANIMATING THE LOCK KEYS FOUND WITH LOOSE JAM NUTS SHOW ONLY ABOUT 1/32 OF AN INCH ENGAGEMENT WITH THE ACTUATOR PISTON NOTCH (INDICATED BY WEAR AREA OF LOCK KEY). IT'S ALSO BELIEVED THAT MULTIPLE R&R OF THE ROD END FOR THE TASK CARD INSPECTION, ACTUATOR VIBRATION FROM NORMAL USE, AND NOT CHANGING THE LOCK KEY AT EVERY INSPECTION ALSO CONTRIBUTES TO THE LOCK KEY FAILING AND ALLOWING THE ACTUATOR PISTON TO ROTATE AND LOOSING UP FROM THE JAM NUT. THE 32-10-00-2201 RH MAIN LANDING GEAR ACTUATOR ROD END DETAILED INSPECTION IS A DISCRETIONARY MAINTENANCE 48-MONTH ITEM PUBLISHED BY TEXTRON FOR OPERATION IN HIGH CORROSION ENVIRONMENT. WE TYPICALLY DON'T SEE LOOSE JAM NUTS ON OTHER AIRCRAFT THAT DON'T HAVE THIS INSPECTION PERFORMED. IT'S NOT BELIEVED THAT IS CAUSED BY IMPROPER MAINTENANCE, BUT A COMBINATION OF INSUFFICIENT KEY ENGAGEMENT, NORMAL OPERATIONAL WEAR, AND NOT REPLACING THE KEY LOCK AT EVERY INSPECTION.

MX HISTORY SHOWS RECENT CHANGE TO CABLE SYSTEM, ITS STILL STIFF, BRIEFED THE FLIGHT CREW ON THE FIX FOR THE ISSUE AND MX HISTORY.

AFTER DOING A FLIGHT AN HOUR AGO EMERGENCY CABIN LIGHTS ARE FLASHING OVER THE ENTRY DOOR AS WELL AS SEAT THREE AND FOUR. FLOOR LIGHTS ARE FLASHING AS WELL. ARRIVED AND POWERED UP THE AIRCRAFT. TURNED ON AND NOTICED THAT THE 2 FWD CABIN EMERGANCY LINGS WERE FLASHING. PUT THE EM. LIGHT SWITCH IN THE ARMED POSITION AND LET THE BATTERY CHARGE FOR 30 MINUTES. AFTER 30 MINUTES SELECTED THE EM. LIGHTS TO THE ON POSITION AND NOTICED THAT THE LIGHTS WERE STEADY ON FOR 5 MINUTES BEFORE STARTING TO FLASH AGAIN. FWD EM. BATTERY POWER SUPPLY WILL REQUIRE REPLACMENT. REMOVED THE DEFECTIVE FWD EM. BATTERY INSTALLED A REPAIRED BATTERY REFERENCING AMM: 33-50-01. CHARGED THE BATTERY FOR 1.75 HRS PER AMM: 33-50-01. OPS CHECK OF THE EMERGANCY LIGHTING SYSTEM WAS GOOD.

MAKING VERY DIFFICULT TO CLOSE AND OPEN THE DOOR. WILL REQUIRE ECCENTRIC TOOL TO ADJUST THEM AS NECESSARY. WILL REQUIRE TO REPLACED SCREWS FOR RETAINERS. IAW 52-10-00. CLIMBING OUT OF 12,000 FEET, WE TURNED OFF THE APU. IMMEDIATELY HAD A BURNING ODOR. SHUT OFF COFFEE POT AS WELL. INVESTIGATED THE CABIN, SLIGHT SMELL. RETURNED TO COCKPIT, ODOR COMPLETELY DISSIPATED . 19600 FEET. RAN AIRCRAFT WITH BOTH ENGINES BLEED AIR AND APU BLEED AIR ON, NO SMOKE OKDOR NOTED AT THIS TIME. ALL WORK DONE IAW MM 21-51-00.CHECKED THE COFFEE POT. FOUND THE COFFEE INSIDE WAS VERY THICK AND SMELLED BURNED. REMOVED THE COFFEE POT AND CLEANED IT. REINSTALLED THE COFFEE POT BACK INTO THE AIRCRAFT. COMPLIED WITH TASK CARD TC-5XL-21-120902M, ECU DUCT BURN OUT. RAN THE ENGINES AND APU. NO SMOKE OR BURNING SMELL WAS NOTED.

CHECKED MANUAL MODE PRODUCE ANY FAULT CODES DURING ANY OF THE OPERATIONS. PERFORMED BIT TEST ON TEMP CONTROLLER IAW MM 21-61-00. NO DEFECTS NOTED. CLEANED COCKPIT & CABIN TEMP SENSORS & VERIFIED THAT THE FANS WHERE OPERATING CORRECTLY. COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE DISCREPANCY & THERE IS NO SERVICE.

DURING LT BRAKE APPLICATION AT LOW SPEEDS, THE ENTIRE AIRPLANE SHUDDERED & HAD THREE PULSES CAN BE HEARD THROUGH THE ENTIRE CABIN. PULSING CAN BE FELT AND HEARD AND IS STRONGEST AT SLOW SPEEDS AND WHEN USING LEFT BRAKE ONLY. TAXIED ACFT AND DUPLICATED THE PROBLEM. LT BRAKE CHATTERS EVERYTIME PEDAL IS PUSHED. BLED THE ANTISKID BRAKE SYSTEM. ATTEMPTED SEVERAL TIMES TO CLEAR THE CHATTER AND AIR IN SYSTEM. COULD NOT ELIMINATE. MANUALLY OPERATED THE METERING VALVE. NOTED WHEN THE LT BRAKE ARM IS PULLED SLIGHTLY, THE HYDRAULIC FLUID WOULD BYPASS THE METERING VALVE. THE RT ARM WORKS NORMALLY. NO FLUID BYPASSING. HEN THE LT ARM IS PULLED, WOULD GET A CHATTER IN THE ANTISKID VALVE. DETERMINED THE BRAKE METERING VALVE TO BE AT FAULT. REMOVED THE METERING VALVEAND INSTALLED AN OVERHAULED UNIT. BLED ANTISKID BRAKE SYSTEM AND COMPLIED WITH AN OPS CHECK WITH NO DEFECTS NOTED. NO CHATTER. OPS AND LEAK CHECKED GOOD. IAW MM 32-44-20.

CHATTERING NOISE DISAPPEARED & TAXIED THE ACFT WITH NO DEFECTS NOTED. WORK PERFORMED IAW MM 32-42-01.

FOUND BLACK COLORED GREASE COMING FROM RT & LT TRIM ACTUATORS AND ABNORMALLY EXCESSIVE AMOUNTS OF GREASE ON TRIM CHAINS AND OUTSIDE OF ACTUATORS. REMOVED PUSH PULL ROD BOLTS AND FOUND ONE ACTUATOR ROD ON EACH ACTUATOR GRITTY/ BONDING WHEN TURNED. REMOVED RT & LT ELEVATORS, REMOVED AND REPLACED RT & LT ELEVATOR TRIM TAB ACTUATORS IAW MM 27-32-03. RE-INSTALLED RT & LT ELEVATORS IAW MM 27-31-01. PERFORMED ELEVATOR TRIM TAB SYSTEM RIGGING IAW MM 27-31-00. ELEVATOR AND ELEVATOR TRIM TAB TRAVEL CHECKS GOOD IAW MM 27-31-00-221. CLOSED ALL ACCESS PANELS.

DURING EARLY PART OF CLIMB AFTER SHUTTING OFF THE APU THERE WAS A FOUL ODOR IN THE COCKPIT THAT SMELLED ELECTRICAL IN ORIGIN. ODOR WAS LIMITED TO COCKPIT INITIALLY. RAN ENGINES FOR 45 MINS, WHILE RUNNING ENGINES HAD APU BLEED AIR ON AND NO SMELL NOTED. TURNED OFF APU BLEED AIR AND HAD A FAINT ODOR FROM WEEMACS, TURNED ON APU BLEED AIR AND ODOR WENT AWAY. REMOVED AND CLEANED COLESER SOCK, RAN ENGINES AND FOUND THE ODOR TO BE VERY FAINT. IAW MM 12-19-02 PULLED OZONE CONVERTERS AND CLEANED OZONE CONVERTERS, DRIED AND REINSTALLED CONVERTERS WITH NEW SEALS INSTALLED. ODOR WAS OF AN OIL TYPE AND NOT ELECTRICAL IN ORIGIN. PERFORMED INSPECTION OF CIRCUIT BREAKER PANELS (IAW MM 24-50-02). NO DEFECTS NOTED. RAN ACFT FOR 30 MINS AND DRIED OUT OZONE CONVERTERS, DID NOT FIND ANY FOUL ODOR WHILE RUNNING, WITH APU OR JUST ENGINES. OPS CHECKS GOOD AT THIS TIME.
