DURING DESCENT WE SELECTED ALL A/I SYSTEMS ON FOR ICING CONDITIONS. ALL SYSTEMS OPERATED NORMALLY. UPON EXITING ICING CONDITIONS AT FL270, SELECTED ALL A/I SYSTEMS OFF. ABOUT 3 MINUTES AFTER SELECTING ALL A/I OFF, WE RECEIVED A/I ENGINE HOT R. ACCOMPLISHED A/I ENGINE HOT QRH. THE A/I ENGINE HOT R MESSAGE DID NOT CLEAR UNTIL STEP 4, WHEN SELECTING LP ON THE RIGHT SIDE. CORRECTIVE ACTION: REMOVED #2 ENGINE INLET ANTI ICE VALVE PN: 9914521-6 SN: 1768 DUE TO WEAR AND REPLACED WITH OVERHAULED VALVE PN: 9914521-6 SN:1616. WORK PERFORMED IAW: CESSNA 680A AMM 30-20-05. LEAK AND OPS CHECK GOOD WITH NO FURTHER DEFECTS
UNABLE TO RETRACT LANDING GEAR AFTER TAKE OFF. GEAR HANDLE WOULD NOT MOVE. 3 GREEN INDICATED, WOW MISCOMPARE AMBER CAS DISPLAYED AFTER PASSING THROUGH APPROXIMATELY 1000 FT AND REMAINED DISPLAYED UNTIL PARKING THE AIRCRAFT. TROUBLESHOT NLG SQUAT SWITCH. FOUND SWITCH TO BE OUT OF RIGGING. RE-RIGGED SWITCH. CYCLED LANDING GEAR MULTIPLE TIMES. GEAR SWING AND INDICATIONS NORMAL. ALL MAINTENANCE PERFORMED IAW CESSNA CE-680A AMM CHAPTER 32-60-10
AFTER OUR TAKEOFF ROLL, WHEN AT THE INDICATION OF POSITIVE RATE OF CLIMB, THE GEAR HANDLE WAS MOVED TO THE GEAR UP POSITION. THOUGH THE HANDLE WAS EASILY MOVED TO THE UP POSITION THE LEFT MAIN, RIGHT MAIN AND NOSE GEAR DID NOT RETRACT. AT APPROXIMATELY 400 FEET ABOVE THE GROUND, THE AMBER CASS MESSAGE GEAR DISAGREE DISPLAYED. A FEW SECONDS LATER THE AMBER CASS MESSAGE WOW MISCOMPARE ALSO DISPLAYED. APPROXIMATELY 2 TO 3 MINUTES AFTER BOTH MESSAGES WERE DISPLAYED, THE GEAR DID RETRACT BY ITSELF WITHOUT ANY PILOT ACTION DUE TO THE LANDING GEAR HANDLE STILL BEING IN THE UP POSITION & BOTH AMBER CASS MESSAGES SIMULTANEOUSLY WENT OUT. CREW ELECTED TO LAND ACFT AT LAS AIRPORT. GEAR WAS EXTENDED WITHOUT ISSUE. LANDING, TAXI OFF, TAXI IN AND PARKING WERE WITHOUT INCIDENT. REMOVED THE FAILING NLG SHOCK STRUT SEALS AND INSTALLED NEW NLG SHOCK STRUT SEALS IAW THE CMM 32-20-01. REMOVED THE SUSPECTED FAULTY NLG SQUAT SWITCH AND INSTALLED A NEW NLG SQUAT SWITCH IAW AMM 32-60-10. PERFORMED THE LANDING GEAR OPERATIONAL CHECK IAW THE CE-680A AMM 32-00-00. OPS CHECKED GOOD, NO FURTHER DEFECTS NOTED.
A CRACK WAS FOUND ON THE LUG FOR DOOR STRUT ARM ON THE 7411351-8 SURROUND FRAME. ACCOMPLISHED FR-680A-139-15365 REV - DATED: 25-JUN-2025 - FIELD REPAIR - CRACK, FUSELAGE, AFT DOOR SURROUND FRAME, DOOR STRUT DRIVE ARM ATTACH.
FIRST OFFICER SIDE COCKPIT WINDOW CRACKED IN FLIGHT. CORRECTIVE ACTION: REMOVED CRACKED RH SIDE WINDOW P/N 9914809-2 S/N 21088H6054 AND INSTALLED CUSTOMER SUPPLIED NEW SIDE WINDOW P/N 9914809-2 S/N 24211H6471 IAW CE680A AMM 56-10-05.
RECEIVED AMBER ENG CONTRL FAULT R IN CLIMB OUT. RAN QRH CHECKLIST. MESSAGE REMAINED FOR ENTIRETY OF FLIGHT. ARRIVED ON SITE AND GAINED ACCESS TO AIRCRAFT, PERFORMED ARES DOWNLOAD AND SENT TO TEXTRON FOR REVIEW. FOUND CAS MESSAGE TO BE RELATED TO THRUST REVERSER SYSTEM ON RH ENGINE. PERFORMED GVI OF ENGINE AND TR CONNECTORS PER PWC FIM WITH NO DEFECTS NOTED. PERFORMED ENGINE GROUND IDLE RUN AND OPERATIONAL CHECK OF TR WITH NO DEFECTS NOTED. CONTACTED MCC AND ADVISED OF OUR FINDINGS, PER THEIR REQUEST WE WILL PERFORM RING OUTS OF TR SWITCHES. NO FURTHER ACTION ON THIS ITEM. ALL MAINTENANCE PERFORMED IAW AMM 78-00-00 AND LMM 72-00-01. COMPLIED WITH TC-C68-78-1001 WITH NO DISCREPANCIES NOTED. MCC REQUESTS TO MEL TR SYSTEM AT THIS TIME. COMPLIED WITH TR LOCKOUT OF LT AND RT ENGINE IAW AMM 78-30-00. MEL 78-30-01 CAT C.
WHEN ATTEMPTING TO CLOSE THE MCD ON THE RAMP, THE DOOR WOULD GO UP, BUT THE HANDLE WILL NOT TURN TO ENGAGE PINS TO LOCK THE DOOR IN UP POSITION. THIS HAPPENS WHEN TRYING TO CLOSE FROM THE INSIDE OR OUTSIDE //SIGNOFF// INSPECTED DOOR LATCHING MECHANISM AND FOUND THAT THE TOP RIGHT DOOR PIN WAS BINDING. UPON FURTHER INSPECTION FOUND THAT THE PIN WAS BEING PULLED TOO FAR DUE TO THE INNER DOOR HANDLE STOP BEING OUT OF RIG. ADJUSTED THE TOP RIGHT DOOR PIN (AS YOU LOOK AT THE OPEN DOOR) AT THE BELL CRANK PUSH ROD AND ALSO ADJUST THE TOP LEFT DOOR PIN AT THE STOWING STOP BOLT AS REQUIRED TO ACHIEVE PROPER OPERATION ,OPS CHECKED GOOD AFTER SEVERAL DOOR CLOSING CYCLES FROM INSIDE AND OUTSIDE. IAW MM 52-10-04.
CABIN EMERG LIGHT: THE NUMBER 3 SEAT LED AISLE LIGHTS DO NOT ILLUMINATE WHEN USING EMERGENCY POWER ONLY. REMOVED BATTERY PACKS. PERFORMED EMERGENCY LIGHTING BATTERY PACK POST-MAINTENANCE CHECK. POST MAINTENANCE CHECK GOOD, NO DISCREPANCIES NOTED. WORK DONE IAW MM 33-50-06.

WHILE IN CRUISE AT FL380 THE NLG STARTED SLAMMING AROUND IN THE NLG BAY. NORMAL EXTENSION, EMERGENCY EXTENSION, & ALTERNATE EMERGENCY EXTENSION ALL FAILED TO PRODUCED A NLG GREEN INDICATION. LANDED WITH NLG IN WHEEL WELL. TROUBLESHOT NLG TO FIND THE ROOT CAUSE. FOUND LOCK WASHER PROPERLY ENGAGED ONTO STRUT UPPER BARREL & TAB BENT INTO UPPER RETAINING NUT AS REQUIRED. UNBENT LOCK TAB AND REMOVED UPPER BARREL RETAINING NUT NOTING UPPER RETAINING NUT TIGHT AGAINST LOCK WASHER & LOCK WASHER SITTING FLUSH ON TOP OF TRUNNION UPPER BEARING. AFTER REMOVAL OF THE UPPER RETAINING NUT AND LOCK WASHER, THE STRUT UPPER BARREL FAILED TO SLIDE DOWN & OUT OF THE TRUNNION UPPER BEARING. APPLIED PRESSURE UP & DOWN TO THE NLG STRUT NOTING TRUNNION UPPER BEARING SEIZED ONTO THE STRUT & UPPER BEARING FLOATING WITHIN TRUNNION UPPER BEARING SEAT. MANIPULATED TOP OF UPPER BARREL SEVERAL TIMES UNTIL UPPER BARREL FREED ITSELF FROM TRUNNION UPPER BEARING. STRUT WAS THEN SLID OUT BOTTOM OF TRUNNION & REMOVED. INSPECTION OF STRUT UPPER BARREL NOTED THE LOCK FASTENERS THAT CONNECT NWS SPLINE ADAPTER TO STRUT UPPER BARREL SCORED BY UPPER BEARING & STANDING PROUD FROM UPPER BARREL LOCK FASTENERS COUNTER SINKS. THE LOCK FASTENERS WERE NOT BELOW SURFACE OF THE BARREL IAW NLG CMM. INSPECTION OF TRUNNION UPPER BEARING OD SURFACE SHOWED VERTICAL SCORING MARKS FROM WEAR OF MOVEMENT. WHEN ATTEMPTING TO SLIDE TRUNNION BEARING OVER STRUT UPPER BARREL ON BENCH NOTED BEARING WOULD SEIZE AS IT PASSED OVER LOCK FASTENERS. INSPECTED NLG TRUNNION UPPER BEARING BOSS NOTING VERTICAL SCORING MARKS DUE TO FLOATING BEARING. NOSE WHEEL WELL STRUT INSTALLED -69 FRAME / -69, -70 DOUBLERS / -73, -74 ANGLES IAW SB680A-53-01 ACCOMPLISHED IAW SB680A-53-01 NLG W/W STRUCTURE & FASTENER IMPROVEMENT INSTALL NEW AFT NLG ACTUATOR FITTING, INSTALLED NLG ACTUATOR IAW EEDS DRAWINGS 7410151 AND 7411213 INSTALLED LH DOOR SUPPORT ANGLE. OVERSEALED LT & RT ANGLE FASTENERS IAW EEDS DRAWING #7411211 AND STANDARD PRACTICES MM 20-40-20 . NLG UPPER BARREL INSTALLED INTO TRUNNION WITH EXPECTED NUMBER OF THREADS PROTRUDING ON TOP. CHECKED & VERIFIED THERE IS NO BEARING PLAY OR UP/DOWN PLAY AS PREVIOUSLY NOTED. PERFORMED FULL SERVICE OF NLG STRUT IAW AMM 12-10-52. OPS CHECK GOOD. ORIGINAL SUBMISSION DATE: 07-25-2022.
NLG ACTUATOR: DURING FLIGHT CLIMBING THROUGH 41600, WE STARTED HEARING AND FEELING A VERY LOUD AND CONTINUOUS BANGING UNDERNEATH OUR FEET. NO CASS MESSAGES WERE PRESENT OR ANY OTHER ABNORMAL INDICATION. BECAUSE THE BANGING SEAMED TO BE INTENSIFYING AND WOULD NOT STOP AND BECAUSE IT FELT LIKE THE NOSE LANDING GEAR WAS TRYING TO MOVE IN THE NOSE WHEEL COMPARTMENT, I DECIDED TO TURN THE HYDRAULIC PUMPS OFF. AFTER DOING THAT THE BANGING STOPPED, AFTER A FEW MINUTES OF HAVING THE HYDRAULIC PUMPS OFF, THE NOSE LANDING GEAR GAVE US A YELLOW INDICATION, I PROCEEDED TO TURN ON THE LEFT HYDRAULIC PUMP AND THE UNSAFE INDICATION WENT AWAY. ON FINAL APPROACH TO LAND I DECIDED TO PRESSURIZE THE HYDRAULIC PUMPS AGAIN, WE LOWERED THE LANDING GEAR NORMALLY AND GOT 3 GREEN LIGHT INDICATIONS, WE COULD NOT HEAR ANY MORE BANGING, *** CORRECTIVE ACTION *** CHECKED AMM AND FOUND NLG UP LOCK SWITCH WAS OUT OF RIG. WHEN MEASURED IA W AMM 32-32-00 IT MEASURED 1.1 " AND SHOULD BE .66. REMOVED THE FAILED NLG UPLOCK SWITCH PN S3177-I SN N/A, AND INSTALLED A NEW NLG UPLOCK SWITCH PN S3177-1 SN N/A, REF. FAA FORM8130-3 TEXTRON AVIATION INC. FORM TRACKING NUMBER 6920488, WORK ORDER 3723831, APPROVAL NO: PC4, DATED 16OCT2019. COMPLIED WITH NOSE LANDING GEAR UPLOCK SYSTEM ADJUSTMENT/TEST I.A.W. CE680A AMM CHP 32-32-10, 32-32-00.
NLG STRUT: WHILE CRUISING AT FL410, WE HEARD A LOUD THUMPING NOISE COMING FROM THE NOSE FOLLOWED BY "GEAR DISAGREE N" CAS MESSAGE. THE GEAR INDICATIONS SHOWED YELLOW HASH FOR THE NOSE AND WHITE UP FOR THE MAINS. DESCENDING THROUGH FL180, THE NOISE AND CAS MESSAGE WENT AWAY. WE LOWERED THE GEAR AND GOT THREE GREEN INDICATIONS .//CORRECTIVE ACTION// PERFORMED SERVICING OF NLG STRUT TO PROPER LIMITS AND COMPLIED WITH SL680A-32-07. FOUND MEASURMENTS TO BE N PROPER LIMITS. REMOVED AND REPLACED NLG HARNESS ASSY. LANDING GEAR OPS CHECK GOOD AT THIS TIME.
CABIN EMERG LIGHT: THE FOLLOWING EMERGENCY LIGHTS ARE INOP. EXIT SIGN OVER SEAT 7, PATH LIGHT IN LAV AND ALSO THE READING LIGHT IN LAV. THESE LIGHTS ARE INOP WITH EMER LIGHT SWITCH IN ARM AND SHIPS BATTERIES OFF. // SIGNOFF // :REMOVED AND REPLACED THE #4 EMERGENCY BATTERY PACK.REF CESSNA CE-680A AMM 33â¢50-06. OPS CHECK GOOD
EMERGENCY LIGHTING: ALL EMERGENCY LIGHTS FUNCTION NORMALLY AND BRIGHTLY WITH THE EMER LTS SWITCH IN THE ON POSITION AND ALL OF THEM EXTINGUISH WHEN THE SWITCH IS MOVED TO THE ARM POSITION PRIOR TO TURNING ON THE BATTERIES. THEY SHOULD STAY ON UNTIL BATTERIES ARE TURNED ON.
MAIN DOOR HANDLE: THE RED BUTTON ON THE MAIN CABIN DOOR HANDLE WILL NOT RELEASE THE HANDLE.///SIGN-OFF///REMOVED AND REPLACED FAULTY DOOR LATCH SOLENOID. PERFORMED CABIN DOOR CHECK REF CE680 MM 31-59-00 WITH NO DEFECTS.
MLG VIBRATION AFTER RETRACTION, AIRCRAFT SHUDDERED VIOLENTLY CLIMBING THROUGH 7000'. VIBRATION FELT LIKE IT CAME FROM BELOW PILOT'S FEET. NO ABNORMAL GEAR INDICATIONS WERE NOTED.
