LEFT MLG BRAKE: AFTER BLOCKING IN NOTICED SMOKE COMING FROM LEFT MAIN GEAR. THE LANDING AND TAXI WERE NORMAL WITH NORMAL BRAKING. NO LEAKS ARE VISIBLE. CORRECTIVE ACTION: PERFORMED VISUAL INSPECTION OF LEFT MLG BREAK ASSEMBLIES FOR CONDITION AND SECURITY. FOUND L/H MLG O/B BRAKE HAS F.O.D JAMMED IN THE UPPER BRAKE PUCK CAUSING IT TO RESTRICT ITS MOVEMENT. REQUESTED NEW BRAKE ASSY REMOVED AND REPLACED LH OB BRAKE ASSEMBLY. REF. CE680A MM 32-42-05. USING THE CHECKLIST WE USED THE EMERGENCY GEAR EXTENSION FUNCTION AND BROUGHT THE AIRCRAFT TO A STOP ON THE RUNWAY USING THE EMERGENCY BRAKE SYSTEM. //SIGNOFF//FOUND HYDRAULIC FLUID DRAINING FROM THE HYD PUMP PAD SEAL DRAIN LINE. REPLACED LH ENGINE DRIVEN HYDRAULIC PUMP IAW CE-680A AMM 29-10-05, OPS CHECK AND LEAK CHECK GOOD

LEFT FUEL QUANTITY INDICATION: DURING DESCENT WE GOT FUEL IMBALANCE CAUTION. LEFT SIDE SHOWED 400 LBS LOW AND CONTINUED TO DROP. RAN CHECKLIST FOR IMBALANCE AND USED CROSSFEED OFF RIGHT SIDE. FUEL INDICATION CONTINUED TO DROP ON LEFT. ASSUMED FUEL LEAK AND LANDED UNEVENTFULLY. AFTER LANDING THE LEFT FUEL INDICATION WENT FROM 600 TO 1400 AFTER 15 MIN. FOUND AT 22:01:03 LH PROBE 2 WENT FROM 4.5MA DOWN TO .788MA, A FEW TIMES WENT BACK UP TO 4.5MA BUT THEN DROPPED DOWN AND REMAINED AROUND .8MA FOR THE REST OF THE FLIGHT WHILE THE RH PROBE 2 REMAINED AROUND 4MA TO 4.5MA; ORDERED A PROBE 2. R & R LT #2 FUEL PROBE IAW 28-40-25. PERFORMED FUEL QTY OPS CHECK. OPS TEST CHECKED GOOD. WORK PERFORMED IAW MM 28-40-00.

NLG: DURING LANDING AT APPROXIMATELY 65 KNOTS, SEVERE NOSE WHEEL SHIMMY OCCURRED. UPON FURTHER SLOWING TO TAXI SPEED, NOSE WHEEL STEERING USING THE CONTROL WHEEL WAS ALSO INTERMITTENTLY LOST. THERE IS NO APPARENT HYDRAULIC LEAKAGE IN THE NOSE WHEEL AREA. // SIGNOFF // REMOVED ALL FOUR UNSERVICABLE THRUST WASHERS FROM THE LOWER TORQUE LINK ASSY AND INSTALLED FOUR NEW THRUST WASHERS IAW CMM CHAPT. 32-20-01 CONTINUED TROUBLSHOOTING AND FOUND BOTH NOSE WHEEL AND TIRE ASSY. LOOSE GOING AT LEAST FIVE AROUND TURNS. TIGHTEN BOTH AXLE NUTS CE-680A AMM CHAP. 32-40-15 OPS CHECK CHECKED GOOD NO OTHER DETAILS NOTED.

CABIN EMERG LIGHT: OVERHEAD EMERGENCY LIGHT OVER SEAT 7 AND UNDER SEATS 5 AND 8 ARE INOPERATIVE. OVER WING EMERGENCY LIGHT IS ALSO INOPERATIVE. // SIGNOFF // GAINED ACCESS AND REMOVED EMERGENCY BATTERY #3 P/N CBS28-1 S/N 2171M AND INSTALLED CUSTOMER SUPPLIED REPAIRED EMERGENCY BATTERY #3 P/N CBS28-1 S/N5317M. CHARGED BATTERY FOR 40 MIN. AND PERFORMED GOOD OPS CHECK WITH NO DEFECTS NOTED AT THIS TIME. CLOSED ALL ACCESS GAINED FOR MAINTENANCE. WORK DONE IN REF. CE680A A.M.M. 33-50-06.
GEAR POSITION & WARNING: AFTER TAKE OFF WHILE THE LANDING GEAR WAS BEING RETRACTED A VERY LOUD VIBRATION OCCURRED. THE LANDING GEAR HANDLE WAS IN THE UP POSITION UNTIL THE ABNORMAL CHECKLIST CALLED FOR THE LANDING GEAR DOWN. ONCE AT A SAFE ALTITUDE THE GEAR INDICATION IN THE COCKPIT SHOWED THAT BOTH MLG WERE AMBER DOWN AND THE NLG WAS WHITE UP. BEFORE CALLING FOR THE APPROPRIATE CHECKLIST ALL LANDING GEAR CAME UP WITH NORMAL INDICATIONS FOR A FEW SECONDS BEFORE RETUNING TO THE PREVIOUS INDICATIONS. EMER/ABNORMAL CHECLIST N2 WAS COMPLETED AND THE LANDING GEAR HANDLE WAS SELETED DOWN PER THE CHECKLIST AND THE GEAR INDICATED DOWN AND GREEN IN THE COCKPIT. THE EMERGENCY GEAR WXTENSION WAS NOT USED. AFTER LANDING THERE WAS NO VIBRATION OR SHIMMY OF ANY OF THE LANDING GEAR ON LANDING ROLL. MANUFACTURER WAS ABLE TO DETERMINE ISSUE WAS CAUSED BY NOSE SQUAT SWITCH (SG014) TO THE PCB NC106. REMOVED FAILED NOSE HARNESS SQUAT SWITCH P/N 6948001-2, NSN AND REPLACED IT WITH A NEW CUSTOMER SUPPLIED NOSE HARNESS SQUAT SWITCH P/N 6948001-2, NSN. ROUTED AND SECURED HARNESS AS REQUIRED. POWERED UP AIRCRAFT. COMPLIED WITH GEAR SWINGS. COMPLIED WITH OPERATIONAL CHECKS OF THE NOSE HARNESS SWITCH WITH SATISFACTORY RESULTS. NO WOW MISCOMPARE MESSAGES. DOWNJACKED AIRCRAFT. VERIFIED NO WOW MISCOMPARE MESSAGES ON GROUND. POWERED DOWN. SAFETY WIRED SWITCH AS REQUIRED. CLEANED WORK AREA. ALL WORK IAW CE680AS MM:32-60-00, 32-60-10. NO FURTHER DEFECTS NOTED.
EMERGENCY LIGHTING: AFTER AIRCRAFT WAS POWERED DOWN, ALL EMERGENCY LIGHT SWITCHES OFF AND BATTERIES DISCONNECTED THE EMERGENCY LIGHT ABOVE THE MAIN CABIN DOOR AND BELOW SEAT 10 IS STILL ILLUMINATED. RESET #1 5G SWITCH AND LIGHTS EXTINGUISHED. OPS CHECKED EMERGENCY LIGHTS AND THEY OPS CHECKED GOOD. REF: CE680A MM 33-50-11.
COCKPIT ODOR - DESCENDING THROUGH FL190 WE BEGAN TO SMELL AN EXHAUST ODOR THAT WAS STRONG ENOUGH SO MY SIC WHO WAS FLYING PUT ON HER MASK. I DID NOT WEAR A MASK AND DEVELOPED A SLIGHT HEADACHE FROM THE ODOR. DESCENDING THROUGH 10,000 FT THE SMELL SEEMED TO DISSIPATE AND BY THE TIME WE LANDED WE COULDN'T SMELL ANYTHING ODD AT ALL. (CORRECTIVE ACTION) RAN NR 1 AND NR 2 ENGINES AND APU FOR APPROX. 30 MIN WITH HEAT AND ALSO SWITCHING OVER TO A/C AND ALSO RUNNING WITH HEAT AND A/C OFF, AND WE COULD NOT DUPLICATE ANY SMELL OF SUCH. AFTER ENGINE RUNS WE OPENED NR 1 AND NR 2 ENGINE COWLS TO PERFORM A VISUAL INSPECTION OF THE ENGINES AND ALSO INSPECTED THE FAN BLADES AND THE EXHAUST AREAS OF BOTH ENGINES, NO SMELL TO BE FOUND AND BOTH ENGINES LOOKED SATISFACTORY WORK WAS PERFORMED IAW AMM 71-00-00.
