REPLACED MAIN CABIN LOWER AFT DOOR ACOUSTIC SEAL WITH NEW DOOR SEAL IAW AMM 52-10-04. OPS AND LEAK CHECK GOOD. AIRCRAFT RESTORED TO ORIGINAL CONFIGURATION.

THE FRONT EMERGENCY BATTERY PACK IS DEAD. WITH BATTERY SWITCH ON AND EMER LIGHT SWITCH ON, ALL EMERGENCY LIGHTS CHECK NORMAL. TURNING THE BATTERY SWITCH TO OFF, THE FRONT EMERGENCY LIGHTS DO NOT ILLUMINATE. T2PL6D00DP743- REMOVED FRONT EMERGENCY BATTERY PACK AND INSTALLED REPAIRED FRONT EMERGENCY BATTERY PACK IAW MM 33-50-01. EMERGENCY BATTERY PACK REPAIRED. OPS CHECK FAILED. TROUBLESHOT WIRING, & SWITCH, FOUND DIODE D1051 FAILED. REMOVED THE DIODE AND INSTALLED A NEW DIODE IAW SPM 20-30-25, AND WDM 33-50-01. OPS CHECKED GOOD.
AFTER CLOSING AND SECURING MAIN CABIN DOOR, THE CABIN DOOR ANNUNCIATOR LIGHT REMAINED ILLUMINATED. AFTER A COUPLE OF UNSUCCESFUL ATTEMPTS TO PROPERLY SECURE THE DOOR BY MANUALLY CLOSING THE VENT DOOR, THE COCKPIT ANNUNCIATOR REMAINED ILLUMINATED AND ALSO THE RED LED BOTTOM SIX PACK LIGHT NOTED IN PHOTO ATTACHED. CALLED MAINTENANCE ON PHONE WHILE ATTEMPTING TO MANUALLY CLOSE THE VENT DOOR A COUPLE MORE TIMES-UNSUCESSFULLY. CORRECTIVE ACTION: REMOVED AND REPLACED VENT DOOR SOLENOID PN: 6711335-1 WITH NEW PN: 6711335-1. PERFORMED MULTIPLE SATISFACTORY OPS CHECKS. VERIFIED ALL DOOR LOCK INDICATORS ARE PRESENT IN THE SIGHT GLASSES AND OPERATION OF THE ENTRY STAIRWAY LIGHTS. WORK PERFORMED IAW CE-560XLS AMM 52-70-00, AND 52-10-00.
AIRCRAFT WOULD NOT PRESSURIZE AFTER DEPARTURE. VENT DOOR LATCH FEELS LIKE THERE IS SOME RESISTANCE PREVENTING IT FROM FULLY CLOSING. GAINED ACCESS AND REMOVED MCD VENT DOOR SOLENOID I/A/W CESSNA 560XL MM CH. 52-10-00. INSTALLED REPLACEMENT VENT DOOR SOLENOID. ADJUSTED SOLENOID. RESTORED ACCESS GAINED. OPS CHECK GOOD. VERIFIED ALL 6 PACK LIGHTS EXTINGUISH AFTER SOLENOID CLOSES VENT DOOR. ALL WORK DONE IAW 560XL MM 52-10-00.
EXIT LIGHT ABOVE MAIN CABIN DOOR,¿ EXIT SIGN LEFT AND RIGHT OF MAIN CABIN DOOR AND READING LIGHT AT SEAT NR. 3 AND NR. 10 ARE STEADY ILLUMINATED. THEY WILL EXTINGUISH WITH THE EMER LTS IN THE OFF POSITION. WITH THE EMER LTS IN THE ON OR ARM POSITION THEY ARE ALL ON. RESET G-SWITCH ON FORWARD EMERGENCY BATTERY PACK. INTERMITTENT HOT ELEC ODOR COMES FROM WEMAC VENTS WITH ENGS RUNNING. NO SMOKE OBSERVED. HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES BEGINNING AFTER TAKEOFF TO SHUTDOWN. ON POST FLIGHT, ODOR NOTED WHEN CHECKING BRAKE SYS BAY & HELL HOLE. INSPECTED COCKPIT, CABIN, HYD SEVICED AREA, & HELL HOLE, NO ELEC ODOR. REMOVED CONDENSER BAG, NOTED THE CONDENSER BAG DIRTY. CLEANED.. POWERED UP ACFT, RAN BOTH ENGS & PERFORMED AN ECU OPS TEST. NO DEFECTS NOTED, TAXI OUT ISOLATION AREA FOR HI-POWER RUN, 3X, 5 MINS EACH. BLEED AIR & NO ODORS. ACCESSED HYD AREA & HELL HOLE, NO ODOR NOTED. R & R CONDENSER BAG. RAN BOTH ENGS & PERFORMED AN ECU OPS TEST. NO ODORS IN THE COCKPIT/CABIN, & NO DEFECTS NOTED. PERFORMED IAW AMM 21-51-00, & 71-00-00.
WITH THE MAIN BATTERY OFF AND EMER LIGHTS ON THE FORWARD LEFT AISLE EMER LIGHTS AND THE THREE EXIT SIGNS AT MAIN ENTRY DOOR WERE INOP. REMOVED INOP FWD EMER LIGHT BATT AND INSTALLED NJA SUPPLIED OVERHAULED EMER BATTERY. PERFORMED TOP CHARGE OF EMER LIGHT BATT. OPS CHECKED GOOD. NO FURTHER DISCREPANCIES NOTED.IAW AMM 33-50-01.
MAIN DOOR EXIT LIGHT DOES NOT CHECK WHEN EMER LIGHTS TEST. VERIFY THAT THE MAIN CABIN EXIT DOOR LIGHT IS INOP. C/W RSA OF THE MAIN CABIN EXIT DOOR LIGHT PN ON AND OFF: 99190523, SN ON: 191298, SN OFF: 07C584, OPS CHECK GOOD IAW CE-560XL AMM CH 33-00-00.
MAIN DOOR PRIMARY SEAL: WHEN YOU START THE APU THE GREY PRIMARY DOOR SEAL INFLATES. UNABLE TO CLOSE MAIN CABIN DOOR. PERFORMED A DETAIL INSPECTION. RAN APU AGAIN WHILE ACCESS PANELS WERE OFF TO SEE WAS VALVE FUNCTIONING PROPERLY. VALVE DID WORK PROPERLY. THE OUTER DOOR SEAL INFLATION VALVE WAS STUCK CLOSED AND WOULD NOT OPEN. REMOVED INFLATION VALVE AND CLEANED PLUNGERS. RE-INSTALLED INFLATION VALVE. STARTED APU APPLIED BLLED AIR AND PERFORMED OPS CHECKS. OPS CHECK OF VALVE IS SATISFACTORY. WORK DONE IAW AMM 52-10-04. NO FURTHER DEFECTS NOTED
MAIN CABIN DOOR MOVES FORCEFULLY TO CLOSE WHEN HAND RAIL IS LIFTED OUT OF OVER CENTER OPEN POSITION. LAST HALF OF DOOR CLOSING OCCURS VERY RAPIDLY. ADJUSTED MAIN ENTRY DOOR COUNTERBALANCE ASSY IAW AMM 52-10-03. OPS CHECKED GOOD.
MAIN DOOR PRECATCH: CABIN DOOR WAS LOCKED AND DOOR WOULD NOT OPEN WITH OUT PUSHING THE PRECATCH. DID THIS TWICE DOOR WOULD NOT OPEN. LUBRICATED PRECATCH AS REQUIRED. ONCE DOOR WAS ADJUSTED PROPERLY NO ISSUES WITH PRECATCH WERE NOTED. ALL WORK DONE IAW CE-560XLS AMM CH 52-10-03. ADJUSTED DOOR AND OPS CHECK GOOD IAW CE-560XLS AMM CH 52-10-00.
MAIN DOOR VISUAL INDICATOR: MAIN DOOR ANNUNCIATOR ILLUMINATED ON GROUND. RAN QRH. DOOR HANDLE AND VENT DOOR LIGHTS REMAINED ILLUMINATED. //SIGNOFF//
FLOOR EMERG EXIT LIGHT: DROP ISLE LED EMERGENCY LIGHT STRIP UNDER CABIN ENTRY DOOR AND UNDER SEAT #8 IS NOT SECURED AND LAYING ON FLOOR. LED LIGHTS ARE OPERATIVE //SIGNOFF// REATTACHED THE LIGHT STRIPS TO THE CHANNEL ASSEMBLIES UNDER THE CABIN ENTRY AND SEAT #8. LIGHTS ARE SECURE AND FUNCTION NORMALLY AT THIS TIME. MAINTENANCE IAW CE-560XL MM 33-20-04.
WHILE OBSERVING THE MAIN CABIN DOOR, LOCKED FROM THE OUTSIDE, THE VENT DOOR PROTRUDES OUTWARD AND DOES NOT SEAT WITH THE AIRFRAME. AT LEAST A 1/4" GAP EXISTS. CREW DID NOT ENTER. WHILE OBSERVING THE MAIN CABIN DOOR, LOCKED FROM THE OUTSIDE, THE VENT DOOR PROTRUDES OUTWARD AND DOES NOT SEAT WITH THE AIRFRAME. AT LEAST A 1/4" GAP EXISTS. CREW DID NOT ENTER. UPON ARRIVAL TO AIRCRAFT FOUND CABIN DOOR RESTING ON THE PRECATCH (WAS ABLE TO OPEN DOOR BY PUSHING PRECATCH RELEASE BUTTON PRIOR TO UNLOCKING DOOR). OPERATED DOOR SEVERAL TIMES WITH NO DEFECTS NOTED IAW MM 52-10-00.

YAW DAMPER: YAW DAMPER DOESN'T SEEM TO WORK IN TURBULENT AIR. PLANE FISH TAILS AND DUTCH ROLLS IN UNSTABLE AIR, BUT IS FINE IN SMOOTH AIR. THE YAW DAMP ENGAGE SWITCH ILLUMINATES GREEN, INDICATING NORMAL OPERATION .UPON FURTHER INVESTIGATION FOUND THE RUDDER AUTOPILOT SERVO CABLE ASSEMBLY BROKEN.
MAIN DOOR: WHEN THE APU IS RUNNING THE MAIN CABIN DOOR ACCUSTIC SEAL IS INFLATING ON IT'S OWN. THE SEAL INHIBITS THE USE OF THE MAIN CABIN DOOR. COULD BE A SAFTEY ISSUE IF CREW/PASEMGERS NEED TO EXIT THE AIRCRAFT. //SIGNOFF// REMOVED DEFECTIVE ACCOUSTIC DOOR SEAL INFLATION VALVE AND REPLACED WITH CUSTOMER SUPPUED NEW VALVE P/N: OFF/ON: 6211329·2 S/N: N/A, WORK PERFORMED IA.W CESSNA MODEL 560XL AMM 52-10·04. OPS CHECK GOOD, NO DEFECTS NOTED.
CABIN EMERG LIGHT: BACK HALF OF FLOOR PROXIMITY EMERGENCY LIGHTS ARE INOP . REMOVED FAULTY AFT EMERGENCY BATTERY PN 8813-1 SN# 1094 AND INSTALLED OVERHAULED BATTERY PN 9913-1 SN 2642 IAW CE-560XL AMM 33-50-01 OPS CHECK GOOD NO FURTHER DEFECTS NOTED
THE MAIN CABIN DOOR WHEN OPENED FROM THE OUTSIDE CAUSES THE INSIDE CABIN DOOR HANDLE TO POP UP AND BE PARTIALLY BETWEEN THE OPEN AND CLOSE STOWED POSITION. REPLACED INNER AND OUTER SLEEVE AND HARDWARE ON THE INSIDE HANDLE, PER CE 560XL/XLS AMM 52-10-01. TECHS RIGGED DOOR PER CE 560 XL/XLS AMM 52-10-00. OPERATIONS CHECK GOOD, NO FURTHER DEFECTS NOTED AT THIS TIME.
ON SHORT FINAL, THE LT ENGINE FIRE DETECTION LIGHT ILLUMINATED. ABOUT 5 SECONDS LATER THE LT ENGINE FIRE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED FOR ABOUT 2 SECONDS & EXTINGUISHED ON ITS OWN. NO CBS WERE TRIPPED. REMOVED THE UPPER,LOWER & SIDE SKIRT COWLINGS FROM LT ENGINE. POWERED UP AIRCRAFT & VERIFIED AMBER FIRE DET SYS L WAS NOT ILLUMINATED. GAINED ACCESS TO THE FIRE DETECTION CABLE. ROUTED A NEW FIRE SENSOR CABLE. PERFORMED A FIRE DETECTION SYSTEM FUNCTIONAL CHECK. FUNCTIONAL CHECKED GOOD IAW SPM 20-30-20, WDM 26-10-01, AMM 26-11-02, 126-11-00, 80-10-00, AND 71-11-00.
AT 22,000 FT DURING CLIMB OUT, THE RT ENGINE FIRE LIGHT CAME ON. WHEN THE THROTTLE WAS REDUCED TO IDLE THE LIGHT EXTINGUISHED. DURING TROUBLESHOOTING, FOUND NO EVIDENCE OF FIRE & NO BLEED AIR LEAKS, FOUND ENGINE FIRE LOOP TO BE CONTACTING BLEED AIR LINE, ALSO TO BE CHAFED ABOUT 50% THROUGH. PERFORMED ENGINE RUN IAW CHECKLIST & BROUGHT RT ENGINE TO POWER. COULD NOT DUPLICATE ENGINE FIRE LIGHT AT THIS TIME ON GROUND. REMOVED RT ENGINE FIRE LOOP. INSTALLED A NEW FIRE LOOP IAW MM 26-11-01. OPS CHECKED GOOD IAW MM 26-11-00.
DURING A SCHEDULED INSPECTION WE FOUND THE BLEED AIR, AIR TUBE MOUNTING FLANGE CRACKED 1/3 THE WAY AROUND THE BLEED AIR TUBE ASSEMBLY. ABOUT 2.5 INCHES LONG. THIS CRACKED FLANGE ATTACHES TO THE APU CONTAINMENT BOX & IS THE PASS THROUGH FOR THE BLEED AIR TUBING ASSEMBLY. SERVICE CONDITION REPORT FILED UNDER NR 707938.
DURING ROTATION, ACFT PITCHED UP VIOLENTLY REQUIRING SIGNIFICANT FWD PRESSURE ON THE YOKE TO AVOID OVER ROTATION. REMOVED ELEVATOR TRIM WHEEL & FOUND TRIM INDICATOR TRACK CRACKED & 3/4 INCH PIECE MISSING, TRIM IS OUT OF ADJUSTMENT. FURTHER INSPECTION REVEALED TRIM WHEEL ASSEMBLY BOLT THROUGH PEDESTAL IS BENT, CAUSING TRIM WHEEL & CHAIN TO GET TIGHT THEN LOOSE & ALLOWING TRIM POINTER TO BECOME DISENGAGED FROM THE TRIM WHEEL TRACK. DISASSEMBLED PEDESTAL FOR ACCESS TO TRIM WHEEL ASSEMBLY. REMOVED BOLT FROM TRIM WHEEL ASSEMBLY. INSTALLED NEW BOLT PN AN3-60, NSN IAW MM 27-32-01. REASSEMBLED PEDESTAL & INSTALLED NEW TRIM WHEEL. CHECKED TRIM TRAVELS, IAW MM 27-31-00, CHECKED NORMAL. RAN ENGS & OPERATIONS CHECKED PEDESTAL COMPONENTS, CHECKED NORMAL.
ON LANDING GEAR RETRACTION, RED GEAR UNLOCKED LIGHT REMAINED ILLUMINATED. TROUBLESHOT LANDING GEAR UNLOCK LIGHT, INSPECTED GEAR, FOUND LT MLG UPLOCK SWITCH BROKEN AND UPLOCK HOOK BEARINGS WORN TO LIMITS, REMOVED AND REPLACED LT UPLOCK SWITCH WITH NEW. REMOVED AND REPLACED UPLOCK HOOK BEARINGS/SPACER/BOLT WITH NEW, JACKED AIRCRAFT, PERFORMED LDG RETRACTION CHECKED GOOD IAW MM 32-30-05, 20-21-03, 12-12-01.
FRAYED ELEVATOR TRIM CABLE WAS FOUND DURING A SCHEDULED INSP. CABLE WAS FRAYED ONE THIRD OF THE CABLE'S DIAMETER. AND CABLE TENSION WAS WITHIN MM LIMITS.
DURING AN INSPECTION, FOUND INBD ELEVATOR HINGE BRACKET CRACKED. IT WAS CRACKED IN THE UPPER BRACKET RADIUS AREA THAT ATTACHES TO THE UPPER SKIN OF THE HORIZ STABILIZER. REPLACED CRACKED HINGE BRACKET WITH NEW AND SUBMITTED SERVICE CONDITION REPORT TO MFG UNDER SCR3 583587.
DURING AN INSPECTION, FOUND THE OTBD ELEVATOR HINGE BRACKET CRACKED. IT WAS CRACKED IN THE UPPER BRACKET RADIUS AREA THAT ATTACHES TO THE UPPER SKIN OF THE HORIZ STABLIZER. REPLACED CRACKED HINGE BRACKET WITH NEW AND SUBMITTED SERVICE CONDITION REPORT TO MFG UNDR SCR 583576.
ON CLIMB OUT, PASSING FL 220, RUDDER EFFECTIVENESS LOST. RUDDER FELT FROZEN. FREEZING LEVEL FL160. ON DESCENT REGAINED RUDDER EFFECTIVENESS AT FL140, JUST BELOW FREEZING LEVEL. RUDDER WAS NORMAL FOR APPROACH AND LANDING. REMOVED ACCESS PANEL AND FOUND ICE. FOUND DRAIN HOLES IN TAIL CONE CLOGGED, CLEANED TAIL CONE AREA OF DEBRIS AND UNCLOGGED DRAINS. INSPECTION OF RUDDER AND AUTOPILOT SYS SHOWS NO DEFECTS. OPS CHECK OF AUTOPILOT SYS GOOD AT THIS TIME. REF MM 22-13-00, OPS CHECK OF RUDDER AND TRAVEL CHECKED GOOD. OPS CHECK OF RUDDER BRAS AND HEATER GOOD AT THIS TIME. REF MM 27-20-05 AND 27-20-00 AND 27-20-02.
RT WINDSHIELD STARTED ARCHING AT 43,000 FT. COMPLETED THE EMERGRNCY CHECKLIST AND DESCENDED TO 10,000 FT. AROUND 20,000 FT THE WINDSHEILD SHATTERED.
ON A VISUAL APPROACH SELECTED GEAR DOWN AND GOT ONLY TWO GREEN INDICATORS. (S)
