MAIN DOOR PRECATCH LEVER IS EXTREMELY LOOSE. INSPECTED MAIN DOOR PRECATCH SYSTEM FOUND NUT THAT SECURE LEVER LOOSE. TIGHTEN NUT, OPS CHECK OF PRECATCH SYSTEM OK I/A/W CE-560XLS AMM 52-10-01.
SPADE DOOR GETTING CAUGHT (POSSIBLY ON HOOK) EVERYTIME OPENING THE DOOR. OCCASIONALLY THE DOOR STICKS & WE ARE UNABLE TO OPEN DOOR UNLESS USING MORE FORCE THAN USUAL, CAUSING SPADE DOOR TO BEND ONCE OPENING. ACTUATED DOOR ABOUT 10 TIMES & COULD NOT DUPLICATE FAULT. DID FIND AFT LINK PUSHROD ASSY BENT, BOLT & BUSHINGS FOR IT CORRODED & SEIZING, NOTICED THAT WHILE MOVING DOOR, SPADE DOOR WOULD BIND UP SOME AT THIS SPOT, BELIEVE THIS IS MAIN CAUSE FOR DOOR TO STICK, ESPECIALLY AFTER FLT WITH TEMPS OF AIRFRAME COLD. FOUND A BENT LIP ON HINGE OF SPADE DOOR. DID NOT FIND ANYTHING CAUSING THIS TO BECOME BENT. REMOVED STAIRS & VISUALLY INSPECTED INTERNAL OPERATING MECHANISMS & ACTUATE DOOR LOCKING MECHANISMS, NO DISCREPANCIES. REINSTALLED STAIRS & PERFORMED DOOR OPS CHECK & VERIFIED LIGHTS & INDICATIONS WORKING PROPERLY IAW AMM 51-10-02. REMOVED DAMAGED AFT LINK ASSY. & ASSOCIATED HARDWARE, INSTALLED NEW AFT LINK ASSY. & ASSOCIATED HARDWARE IAW AMM 52-10-05, OPS DOOR OPEN AND CLOSED 10 TIMES WITH NO ISSUES NOTED.
MAIN DOOR: MAIN DOOR IS HARD TO CLOSE. IT BINDS ABOUT THE LAST INCH OF TRAVEL BEFORE CLOSING. YOU HAVE TO SLAM THE DOOR CLOSE TO GET IT ON THE PRE-CATCH. VIDEO INCLUDED. CORRECTIVE ACTION: LUBED THE PRE CATCH AND DOOR IS OPERATING NORMALLY IAW CE-560XLS AMM 52-10-00
CABIN ALTITUDE, ANNUNCIATOR. AT 12,000 FEET WE GOT A CABIN ALTITUDE LIGHT AND A CABIN ALTITUDE INDICATION OF 10,000 FEET. WE IMMEDIATELY STOPPED THE CLIMB. WE DESCENDED TO 10,000 FEET AT 10,000 FEET. THE CABIN ALTITUDE LIGHT EXTINGUISHED AND WAS SHOWING A CABIN ALTITUDE OF 5000 FEET. DURING THE CLIMB, WE DID NOT EXPERIENCE ANY PHYSIOLOGICAL CHANGES IN OUR EARS ON THE DESCENT FROM 12,000 TO 10,000 I FELT UP POPPING IN MY EARS WHEN WE GOT TO THE CABIN ALTITUDE OF 5000 FEET. AT 5000FT CABIN ALTITUDE READ SEA LEVEL. CORRECTIVE ACTION: REPLACED CABIN AIR CONTROLLER. OPS CHECK GOOD. IAW CE560 AMM 21-30-00.
MAIN DOOR: MAIN DOOR HAS NO TENSION WHEN YOU CLOSE IT. SLAMS SHUT. AS A RESULT, THE TRIM ON THE BOTTOM OF THE DOOR IS STARTING TO CRACK. CORRECTIVE ACTION: REMOVED AND REPLACED CABIN ENTRY DOOR COUNTERBALANCE ASSEMBLY AND PERFORMED RIGGING IAW CE-560XL AMM 52-10-03. OPS CHECK GOOD.
WHEN THE AIRCRAFT IS COMING TO A STOP, ONCE THE RIGHT BRAKE IS HEATED UP, THE BRAKE SEEMS TO SHUTTER (OR PULSATE) DURING THE LAST 10 FEET OF THE ROLL UNTIL THE AIRCRAFT IS STOPPED COMPLETELY. DURING THAT LAST 10 FEET OR SO, YOU CAN HEAR AND FEEL THE SHUTTERING THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE AIRCRAFT. INSPECTED BRAKE FOR WEAR BRAKE HAS 4/32 WEAR BEFORE BAD BAD BLEDE BRAKES IAW MM 32-44-00 LEAK AND OPERATIONAL CHECKED SATISFACTORY
LEFT MLG BRAKE: WHEN COMING TO A COMPLETE STOP, A SHUTTERING NOISE CAN BE HEARD COMING FROM THE BRAKES. IT SOUNDS LIKE IT IS COMING FROM THE LEFT SIDE BUT NOT SURE. REMOVED THE LH AND RH WHEEL ASSEMBLIES. INSPECTED THE LH AND RH BRAKE ASSEMBLY AND NO DEFECTS WERE NOTED. CLEANED THE LH AND RH BRAKE ASSEMBLIES. INSTALLED THE LH AND RH WHEEL ASSEMBLIES. PERFORMED TAXI CHECKS WITH NO DEFECTS NOTED. ALL WORK PERFORMED REF CE560XLS AMM 32-41-02, 32-42-01, AND THE AFM.
LOUD SCREECH COMING FROM LEFT SIDE OF PASSENGER DOOR DURING CLIMB. PRESSURIZATION ACTS NORMAL AND SCREECH DECREASES IN VOLUME AT CRUISE. REMOVED UPPER ACOUSTIC SEAL PN 9522-11, SN UNKNOWN, INSTALLED NEW UPPER ACOUSTIC SEAL PN 9522-11 SN 0932. IN REFERENCE TO CESSNA 560XL MM 52-10-04
EMERGENCY LIGHTING: ALL EXTERIOR EMERGENCY LIGHTS ARE INOP. ALL INTERIOR EMERGENCY LIGHTS ARE INOP IN THE LAVATORY AREA. THE FLOOR STRIP EMER LIGHTING IS INOP, AND THE AFT MOST CABIN OVERHEAD LIGHT IS INOP. TROUBLESHOT TO AFT BATTERY. CONFIRMED THAT A BATTERY HAS BEEN PLACED ON ORDER. WORK IAW CE560XL MM 33-50-00. REPLACED THE AFT EMERGENCY BATTERY PACK WITH AN OVERHAULED ONE. MAINTENANCE IAW CE-560XLS MM 33-50-01.
MAIN DOOR HANDLE: MAIN CABIN DOOR HANDLE INSIDE WILL ONLY MOVE HALF WAY. UNABLE TO MOVE THE HANDLE ALL THE WAY TO CLOSE THE DOOR FROM THE INSIDE///SIGN-OFF///PERFORMED TROUBLESHOOTING OF MED IAW CE-560XL AMM 52-10-00. FOUND EXCESSIVE FRICTION IN DOOR MECHANISM. CLEANED AND LUBRICATED DOOR LATCHING MECHANISM IAW CE-560XL AMM 52-10-01. OPS CHECK GOOD.
ELEVATOR BELLCRANK ASSEMBLY HAS CONTACTED THE SUPPORT BRACKET AND GOUGED THE METAL. DAMAGE LOCATED LT AFT CORNER OF THE ELEVATOR BELLCRANK CUTOUT AT FS 589.0 & WL 148.0. ACCOMPLISHED MINOR REPAIR IAW AQRD ERO-884036.
RIGHT OUTBOARD ELEVATOR HINGE WAS FOUND BENT.
THE APU WAS POWERING THE ACFT WITH THE AVIONICS ON. THE LT AMLCD SCREEN WENT BLANK, THEN CAME BACK ON & THEN WENT BLANK FOR GOOD. A STRONG BURNING ODOR & A SMALL AMOUNT OF SMOKE WERE PRESENT. ALL ELECTRICAL POWER WAS REMOVED FROM THE ACFT. REMOVED AND REPLACED THE ENGINE AMLCD INDICATOR IAW MM 77-40-02. OPS CHECKED GOOD. INSPECTED CONNECTORS, WIRES & AROUND THE AREA FOR EVIDENCE OF BURNS . NO BURNS FOUND.
ON PREFLIGHT THE WATER SYS CIRCUIT BREAKER WAS BLOWN. WHEN PUSHED BACK IN SMOKE BILLOWED FROM THE LAV SINK IMMEDIATELY. BREAKER WAS PULLED OUT WITHIN 5 SECONDS AFTER SMOKE STARTED. INSPECTED WATER TANK, SWITCH, CIRCUIT BREAKER AND SOLENOID. NO EVIDENCE OF ARCHING OR SHORTED WIRING. FOUND WATER TANK OVERHEATED AND WHEN POWER APPLIED TRIPPED BREAKER. R & R WATER TANK. SERVICED WATER TANK AND POWERED UP ACFT. LET RUN FOR 30 MINUTES WITH NO SMOKE OR POPPED BREAKER. SYS OPS CHECKS SATISFACTORY AT THIS TIME. ALL WORK DONE IAW MM 38-20-01.
ON TAKEOFF GEAR WAS RETRACTED AND MAIN GEAR CAME UP ON SCHEDULE BUT NOSE GEAR REMAINED DOWN FOR APPROX 10 SECONDS. NO OTHER HYD SYS WAS IN USE (FLAPS REMAINED DOWN) UNTIL NOSE GEAR RETRACTED. THIS WAS NOT AN INDICATION PROBLEM VERIFIED BY WIND NOISE FROM NOSE GEAR BEING DOWN. R & R NLG ACTUATOR IAW MM 32-30-03. OPS & LEAK CHECKED GOOD.
DECENDING THROUGH FL200, THE LOW BRAKE PRESSURE AND ANTISKID INOP ANNUNCIATION BEGAN TO FLICKER THEN AFTER 3 MIN BECAME SOLID. THE GEAR WAS THEN EXTENDED AND THE LIGHTS EXTINGUISHED. UPON GEAR RETRACTION, THE RT MAIN GREEN GEAR DOWN LIGHT FAILED TO EXTINGUISH. CREW THEN COMPLEATED THE EMERGENCY BLOW DOWN PROCEDURE AS A PRECAUTION. LANDING WAS NORMAL AND BRAKES WORKED NORMALLY. R & R RT DOWNLOCK ACTUATOR SWITCH WITH NEW IAW MM 32-30-04. OPS CHECKED NORMAL.
ON CLIMB OUT, WITH THE GEAR HANDLE IN THE UP POSITION , LT MAIN GREEN GEAR DOWN LOCK LIGHT WAS ON. COULD FEEL A VIBRATION, AFTER ABOUT A MINUTE WITH THE HANDLE STILL IN THE UP POSITION THE LIGHT WENT OUT AND THE VIBRATION WENT AWAY. NO DISCREPANCIES FOUND ON CHECK.
RT EEC MANUAL ADVISORY LIGHT ILLUMINATED AFTER COMPRESSOR STALL IN CRUISE FLIGHT FL400. SEVERAL MORE (6-7) COMPRESSOR STALLS DURING DESCENT WITH POWER BETWEEN 65 AND 75 PERCENT N1. R & R THE RT ENGINE TORQUE MOTOR W/ O/H UNIT, OBTAINING, ORIGINAL ORIFICE PN 30J1296CC74 IAW MM CH 75-30-01. R & R THE RT EEC WITH INSPECTED UNIT IAW THE MFG MM CH 73-20-03. ALL FINAL GROUND RUNS TO POWER IN BOTH AUTO AND MANUAL MODES SATISFACTORY.
BIRD STRIKE AT 5000 FT, LT SIDE OF ACFT NOSE BETWEEN MATING POINT OF RADOME AND NOSE BULKHEAD RIVET LINE. 3 INCH SECTION OF SKIN PEELED BACK AT RIVET LINE. REMAINS FOUND ON LT WING L/E, LT HORIZ STAB AND LT ENG INLET AND FAN. REWORKED SKIN AND FRAME TO WITHIN ALLOWABLE LIMITS OF LOCAL CONTOUR DEVIATION IAW SRM CHP 51-00-03. NDT INSP OF REWORKED AREA C/W IAW NDTM REF 6-20-00-02. NO DEFECTS NOTED. PREPPED AND MATCH PAINTED AREA IAW MM CHP 20-33-00.
