CREW NOTICED FAINT SWEET, RUBBERY, BURNING SMELL IN AFT CABIN. THE AIRCRAFT DIVERTED TO A PAFFORD BASE IN CLARKSDALE, MS. REMOVED HAT RACK STORAGE BIN TO GAIN ACCESS TO ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS AND AFT AVIONICS SHELF. INSPECTED ALL ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS AND FOUND NO DAMAGE. INSPECTED AIRCOMM PULLY AND BELT NO SIGNS OF SLIPPAGE OR DAMAGED FOUND. REMOVED AFT AVIONICS SHELF ACCESS PANEL TO INSPECT BLOWER MOTOR ASSEMBLY AND ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS. NO SIGNS OF DAMAGE FOUND. COMPLETED 10-MINUTE GROUND RUN AND COULD NOT DUPLICATE SMELL.

THE PILOT REPORTED DURING CRUISE FLIGHT THAT HE RECEIVED AN MGT, OVER TEMP, EXCEEDANCE. ONCE ON THE GND BACK AT THE BASE, THE MECHANIC INSPECTED THE SYS, & PERFORMED THE NECESSARY AIRFRAME INSPECTIONS TO INCLUDE CHECKING THE GAUGE, THERMOCOUPLES & HOT SECTION INSPECTION IAW THE BHT MM WITH NO DEFECTS NOTED. ACFT WAS RETURNED TO SERVICE AT THAT TIME. THIS EXCEEDANCE ONLY REGISTERED ON THE GAUGE & DID NOT LATCH IN THE ECU.

LEAK DISCOVERED DURING A PITOT/STATIC LEAK TEST, THAT ONLY EVIDENCED ITSELF ABOVE 180 KNOTS. FOUND LEAK AT EPOXY GLUE THAT IS APPLIED TO ITS SIDE AT MFG. CONTACTED BEECH/BOMBARDIER, WHO, IN TURN, CONTACTED THE PART MFG. THEY ADVISED REPAIR OF LEAK IS AS EASY AS APPLYING MORE CHEMLOCK 304 OVER THAT ALREADY IN PLACE AS A RESULT OF MFG. NEWEST VERSION OF PART INCLUDED AN H IN ITS PART NUMER AND IS WELDED INSTEAD OF GLUED. PURCHASED A NEW PART FOR REPLACEMENT. (X)
