Maintenance disclosures
THE FLIGHT CREW REPORTED THAT AT 1 + 30 MINUTES IN FLIGHT, FL310 THE RIGHT ENGINE FAN VIB WENT TO 4.0. THE CREW OBSERVED THE RIGHT FAN VIB RUN FROM 4.0 TO .3 THEN OSCILLATED 4.0 TO VARIOUS NUMBER. THE OSCILLATIONS LASTED 2-4 MINUTES UPON LANDING, THE RIGHT FAN VIB READ .1. THEY STATED NO ACTUAL ENGINE VIBRATIONS FELT IN FLIGHT. OPERATIONS WERE CONTINUED UNDER MEL 77-30-1. DURING THE MAINTENANCE EVENT THE MAINTENANCE BASE TROUBLESHOT AND DETERMINED THE ENGINE VIBRATION MONITORING SIGNAL CONDITION WAS AT FAULT. A REPAIRED UNIT WAS INSTALLED, OPERATIONAL CHECKS WERE SATISFACTORY AND THE AIRCRAFT WAS RETURNED TO SERVICE.
THE MAINTENANACE TEAM DISCOVERED ON POSTFLIGHT INSPECTION CHECKS THAT THE LEFT PILOTS SIDE WINDOW WAS BEGINNING TO SHOW SIGNS OF DELAMINATION. THE MAINTENANCE TEAM REMOVED THE DEFECTIVE LEFT SIDE COCKPIT WINDOW AND INSTALLED A NEW WINDOW IAW THE AMM. OPS CHECKS WERE SATISFACTORY AND THE AIRCRAFT WAS RETURNED TO SERVICE.
THE FLIGHT CREW REPORTED THAT THE NO2 ENGINE FAN VIBRATION INDICATOR WENT TO 4.0 FOR 10 MINUTES DURING CRUISE FLIGHT. THE CHECKLIST WAS RUN. NO OTHER ENGINE PARAMETERS EXCEEDED. FAN VIBRATION THEN OSCILLATED FROM 4.0 TO 0.2 BACK AND FORTH. ON APPROACH, VIB WAS STABLE AT 0.2. THE MAINTENANCE VENDOR TROUBLESHOT AND DETERMINED THE RH ENGINE ACCELEROMETER WAS DEFECTIVE AND WAS REPLACED WITH A NEW UNIT. OPS CHECKS WERE SATISFACTORY AND THE AIRCRAFT WAS RETURNED TO SERVICE
