SL680A-32-11 (LANDING GEAR - MAIN LANDING GEAR TRAILING LINK ENHANCED INSPECTION) - INTERNAL CORROSION. AFTER NDT NO CRACKS FOUND. CLEANED AND APPLIED CORRISION INHIBITOR IAW SPM 51-30-10 THE RH TRAILING LINK PN#7441030-5 SN# 30194768 WAS FOUND TO BE GOOD IN SERVICEABLE CONDITION
COCKPIT ODOR: WHILE PROGRAMMING THE AIRCRAFT FOR OUR NEXT FLIGHT, WE NOTICED A DISTINCT ODOR IN THE COCKPIT; POSSIBLY ELECTRICAL IN NATURE. WE NOTICED A SLIGHT HAZE IN THE COCKPIT. WE POWERED DOWN THE AIRCRAFT UPON DISCOVERY. APU POWER, BLEED AIR, AND INTERIOR HAVE ALL BEEN POWERED ON FOR 30 MINUTES PLUS, IN ADDITION TO PREVIOUS FLIGHT. THE ODOR PURSISTED SEVERAL MINUTES AFTER THE SECURING CHECKLIST. PERFORMED OPS CHECKS. NO DEFECTS NOTED. UNABLE TO DUPLICATE. REPLACED HEPA FILTER. REF AMM 49-10-15, 49-10-00 AND 21-70-10.
DURING CLIMB THROUGH 180, A CHIRPING NOISE HEARD FROM CABIN. STOPPED AFTER ABOUT 2 MINS. ON ARRIVAL, MAIN DOOR WAS DIFFICULT TO UNLOCK. MOVEMENT OF LOCKING HANDLE PRODUCES A GRINDING NOISE FROM INSIDE. TROUBLESHOT AND FOUND THE SOURCE OF THE GRINDING NOISE IS THE MED SUPPORT STRUT, ATTEMPTED TO LUBRICATE THE STRUT WITHOUT SUCCESS, REMOVED DEFECTIVE STRUT AND INSTALLED A NEW STRUT IAW MM 52-10-40 OP'S CK GOOD.

RIGHT MLG LANDING GEAR EXTENSION: AFTER EXTENDING THE GEAR ON APPROACH, WE INITIALLY GOT A THREE-GREEN INDICATION, BUT AFTER ABOUT 30 SECONDS THE GEAR DISAGREE R CAS CAME ON. WE DIVERTED, SAME THING HAPPENED WHEN EXTENDING THE GEAR AT THE DIVERSION AIRPORT. WE BLEW THE GEAR DOWN AND LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT.////SIGN-OFF DISCONNECTED THE HYDRAULIC MULE AND BURPED THE SYSTEM. HYDRAULIC FLUID RAN CLEAR WITH NO AIR PRESENT. SERVICED THE HYDRAULIC RESERVOIR. IAW CE0-680A AMM 32-34-00 AND 32-23-25. OPS CHECK GOOD.
LAV EMERG LIGHT: EMERGENCY LIGHT UNDER LAV. IS OUT. REMOVED EMER LIGHT UNDER LAV. PERFORMED DVI OF WIRING, PINS, AND CONNECTOR FOR ANY DEFECTS. NOTED BUILD UP OF SURFACE CORROSION AND DEBRIS COATING CONNECTOR AND PINS. REMOVED SURFACE CORROSION AND CLEANED CONNECTOR AS REQUIRED. REINSTALLED EMER LIGHT AND PERFORMED OPS CHECK OF EMER LIGHT WITH REF TO CE-680A AMM 33-50-00, OPS CHECKS GOOD AT THIS TIME.
WOW MISCOMPARE AMBER CAS: AT CRUISE ALTITDUE (41,000) GOT AN AMBER WOW MISCOMPARE AND THE LDG 2 GEAR CONT 2 CIRCUIT BREAKER POPPED. GEAR DID NOT EXTEND UNDER NORMAL PROCEDURE. RAN CHECKLIST TO EXTEND GEAR. REMOVED RH LANDING GEAR WOW PCB ASSEMBLY P/N 6768156-5 S/N 0956 DUE TO WOW MISCOMPARE CAS MESSAGE. INSTALLED NEW LANDING GEAR WOW PCB ASSEMBLY LISTED ABOVE. NO RELATED CAS MESSAGES PRESENT. WORK PERFORMED I.A.W. CE-680AS AMM 24-60-40. COMPLIED WITH CE-680A AMM 24-60-40 PARAGRAPH "H" "LANDING GEAR NC106 LEFT, NF206 PCB CHECK" DUE TO NF206 PCB REPLACEMENT. ALL READINGS ARE SATISFACTORY.
SIGNIFICANT AIRFRAME VIBRATION IN LEVEL FLIGHT AND ACCELERATING AT 12000'. VIBRATION CAME ON AT BETWEEN 270-290 KNOTS. FELT A LIGHT RUMBLE IN THE YOLK AT 210 KNOTS. REMOVED RT AILERON PANEL. INSTALLED A SERVICEABLE RT AILERON PANEL ASSEMBLY. WORK PERFORMED IAW AMM 57-60-05, POST-MAINTENANCE CHECKS COMPLETE AND CHECKED GOOD.
CORRECTION TO SDR AS PER FAA REQUEST. REPEAT WRITE UP. RIGHT BRAKE FAILED (NO COCKPIT WARNINGS) LEFT LOCKED. NOSE ENDED UP IN GRASS OF TAXIWAY "CORRECTIVE ACTION: REPLACED THE PARKING BRAKE VALVE, ANTISKID CONTROL SERVO VALVE AND THE POWER BRAKE VALVE IAW CE560XL MM 32-42-03 AND 32-42-05. BLED BRAKES. LEAK CHECKS ARE GOOD. OPERATIONAL CHECKS ARE GOOD. TAXI CHECK IS GOOD. PART DETAILS: PARKING BRAKE VALVE PN: 9912388-11 SN OFF: 1267A SN ON: 0626. ANTISKID VALVE: PN 9912489-4 SN OFF: 508 SN ON: 288. DURING A SCHEDULED INSPECTION WE FOUND THIS AVIONICS SHELF ATTACH BRACKET PAT 9256023-16, CRACKED MORE THAN HALF ITS LENGTH. THIS ATTACH BRACKET IS FOR THE FWD NOSE AVIONICS SHELF OTBD BRACKET. SUBMITTED MFG SERVICE CONDITION REPORT 747902.
ON TAKEOFF RT BRAKE GRABS & PULLS ACFT RT. HAPPENS ON TAXI WITHOUT TOUCHING BRAKES. R & R RT BRAKE. BLED BRAKES & OPS CHECKED ANTI-SKID. TAXI CHECKED GOOD.
AFTER DEPARTURE, APU OFF, EXPERIENCED A MELTING PLASTIC ODOR. NO VISIBLE SMOKE, BUT GRADUALLY INCREASING ODOR. AIR FLOW ON RIGHT SIDE OF AIRCRAFT SEEMED RESTRICTED. ODOR PERSISTED AFTER LANDING AND IS WORST IN LAV AREA. INSPECTED SYS. FOUND CABIN/COCKPIT OVERHEAD AIR DUCTS TO BE CONNECTED AND IN SERVICABLE CONDITION. INSPECTED WATER SEPARATOR FOR CONDITION AND CLEANLINESSS, FOUND TO BE CLEAN AND SERVICABLE. CLEANED LT AND RT OZONE CONVERTERS. INSPECTED DUCT WORK IN AFT EQUIPMENT BAY, NO FAULTS NOTED. GROUND RAN ACFT AT VARIOUS ENGINE POWER SETTINGS WITH NO ODORS OR LOSS OF AIRFLOW NOTED. SYSTEM CHECKS GOOD AT THIS TIME.
NO NOSE WHEEL DOWN/LOCK LIGHT INDICTAION AFTER GEAR EXTENSION. MANUAL EXTENSION AND BLOWDOWN PROCEDURE ACCOMPLISHED IAW CHECKLIST. SET UP ACFT ON JACKS. INSPECTED NOSE GEAR ACTUATOR AND SWITCH, FOUND SATISFACTORY. PERFORMED LANDING GEAR RETRACTION AND EXTENSION SEVERAL TIMES. NO DEFECT NOTED. REPLACED BURNED OUT LIGHT BULBS ON NOSE GEAR INDICATOR AND RT GEAR INDICATOR. OPS CHECKED SATISFACTORY IAW MM CHAPTER 32-30-00 AND 33-10-00.
ON TAKEOFF AND WHILE AT TAKE OFF POWER AND APU RUNNING, LIGHT FOWL SMOKE FILLED COCKPIT AND AIR FROM A/C WAS BLOWING HOT AIR. WHILE AVOIDING WEATHER AND WAITING TO LAND, SMOKE DISSIPATED AND A/C STARTED BLOWING COLD AGAIN. NO ANNUNCIATORS ILLUMINATED AND ALL ELSE SEEMED NORMAL. APU LEAKING INTERNALLY. R & R THE APU WITH A REPAIRED UNIT IAW MM 49-10-00, OPS AND LEAKS CHECK GOOD.
DURING TAKEOFF, AT ABOUT 300 FT AGL, THE ACM OVERHEAT LIGHT CAME ON FOLLOWED BY LT BLD AIR OVERHEAT. THERE WAS BLACK ACRID SMOKE IN THE COCKPIT AND CABIN. TURNED THE PRESS SOURCE TO OFF, DECLARED AN EMERGENCY AND LANDED. TURNING THE SOURCE TO OFF HELPED WITH THE SMOKE. THE APU WAS OFF. GROUND RAN ACFT AND FOUND THE LT FLOW CONTROL VALVE FAILED IN THE FULL OPEN POSITION. REMOVED VALVE AND INSTALLED O/H VALVE. OPS CHECKED GOOD. LT PRECOOLER OVERHEAT SWITCH TESTS BAD. REMOVED OVERHEAT SWITCH AND INSTALLED NEW OVERTEMP SWITCH. REPLACED THE LT PRECOOLER ACTUATOR WITH O/H UNIT, TEMP SENSOR WITH A NEW UNIT AND PRESSURIZATION PCB WITH NEW UNIT. RAN AIRCRAFT AT POWER, ALL OPS & LEAK CHECKED GOOD. WORK ACCOMPLISHED IAW MM 36-11-01, AND MM 21-11-00.
ACM OVERHEAT WITH MASTER CAUTION ABOVE V1 ON TAKEOFF WITH EMERGENCY PRESSURE ACTIVATION DURING CLIMB. TAKOFF CONTINUED, RAN CHECKLIST AND LANDED NORMALLY. R & R ACM OVERTEMP SWITCH IAW MM 21-51-00. PERFORMED OPS, GOOD IAW MM 21-51-00.
RT MLG LIGHT WOULD NOT COME ON. PERFORMED EMERGENCY GEAR EXTENTION PROCEEDURE IAW CHECKLIST & THE LIGHT WOULD NOT COME ON. THE GEAR WARNING HORN SOUNDS WHEN THE BATTERY IS TURNED ON. REMOVED RT MLG ACTUATOR AND INSTALLED UNIT INSPECTED BY MFG IAW MM 32-30-04. LEAK & OPS CHECKED GOOD.
GEAR UNSAFE LIGHT REMAINED ON AFTER TAKEOFF WITH GEAR HANDLE IN THE UP POSITION. ALSO HAD THE HYD PRESS LIGHT, RAN THE CHECKLIST AND THE RT MAIN DROPPED FIRST. ALL 3 GEAR LOCKED AND LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT. FOUND LARGE AMOUNT OF SAND TYPE MATERIAL ON ALL MLGS, RT UPLOCK ROLLER COVERED ALMOST COMPLETELY. CLEANED MLG LIFTED ACFT OPERATED MLG 7 CYCLES WITH NO DEFECTS NOTED OPS CHECKED SAT IAW MM 7-10-01 AND 32-01-00.
NOSE GEAR INDICATOR LIGHT ILLUMINATED IN CRUISE FLIGHT. STEADY AT FIRST, THEN INTERMITTENT. ACCOMPLISHED "GEAR WILL NOT EXTEND" CHECKLIST BLOW DOWN PROCEDURE PRIOR TO LANDING. REMOVED INOP ACTUATOR. INSTALLED CUSTOMER SUPPLIED INSPECTED ACTUATOR . OPS CHECK GOOD. REINSTALLED ACCESS ITEMS. SAFETIED & SERVICED GEAR BLOW DOWN BOTTLE. WORK DONE IAW MM 32-30-03.
DURING FLIGHT A STRONG EXHAUST ODOR EMITTED FROM THE PILOTS OVERHEAD WEMAC. COPILOTS SIDE UNAFFECTED. RAN APU AND CHECKED CABIN AND COCKPIT TEMP CONTROL. SYSTEM FUNCTIONAL. DIDN'T DETECT ANY EXHAUST COMING FROM WEMACS. OPS CHECK GOOD. WORK PERFORMED IAW MM CHAPTER 21-51-00 21-61-00.
AFTER TAKEOFF AT CYYZ EMERG PRESS AND ACM OVERHEAT LIGHTS CAME ON. RETURNED BACK TO AIRPORT AND LANDED AT CYYZ. CABIN/COCKPIT TEMPERATURE CONTROLLER REPLACED WITH OVERHAULED UNIT + TESTED SERVICEABLE IAW C-560XL MM CH 21-61-00 + CH 71-00-04.
DURING POWER UP ON TAKEOFF ROLL, BOTH CREW MEMBERS NOTICED A LOUD AIR FLOW FROM THE VENTS AND REJECTED TAKEOFF. APU BLEED AIR FLOW CONTROL VALVE REPLACED + TESTED SERVICEABLE IAW C-560XL MM CH 36-12-00.
ON DESCENT INTO CRQ AT 5000 FEET NOTICED AND SMELLED SMOKE IN CABIN AND COCKPIT. MADE NORMAL LANDING, SMOKE AND SMELL APPEARED TO LEAVE AFTER ENGINE SHUTDOWN. - OPERATED AIRCRAFT ENGINES AND APU. NOTED MUSTY SMELL AND FOG COMING FROM WEMACS. CLEANED COALESCER SOCK. OPERATED APU AND ECS FOR APPROX 2 HOURS ALONG WITH ALL CABIN ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS. NO MUSTY SMELL OR SMOKE NOTED. NOTED FOG FROM WEMACS DUE TO CURRENT WEATHER CONDITIONS. OPERATIONAL CHECKS GOOD. WORK PERFORMED IAW 560XL M/M CH 12-19-04 AND CH 21-51-00
AIRCRAFT STRUCK BY LIGHTNING, AVIONICS SCREENS LOOK LIKE TIE DYE SHIRTS. SEEMS TO HAVE ENTERED THROUGH THE NOSE (CO-PILOT SIDE DIVERTER SCREW) EXITED OUT A BURNED HOLE OVER CO-PILOT SIDE SECOND PAX WINDOW. ITEM IS UNDER INVESTIGATION.
