AT CRUISE FL340 AFTER A FLUSH WAS INITIATED THE FLUSH MOTOR RAN CONTINOUSLY FAINT ELECTRICAL BURNING ODOR DETECTED IN COCKPIT AND FWD GALLEY MOTOR WAS MAKING A GRINDING NOISE EVENTUALLY QUIT BY ITSELF AFTER APPROX 45 SEC. THIS WAS FOLLOWED BY A VENT EXTRACT FAULT ECAM CAUTION VENT EXTRACT PLACED IN OVRD. NO ODORS DETECTED AT THIS TIME.
ODOR DETECTED DURING DESCENT AT 10,000 TO 6000 FT, TURNED THE NR 1 PACK OFF, ODOR LINGERED TO PARKING. NOTICABLE FROM CABIN TO MID CABIN. R & R THE DEOILER SEAL ASSY. AND MATING RING IAW AMM 72-60-31, AND 72-60-29. PERFORMED A DECONTAMINATION OF ENVIROMENTAL CONTROL SYSTEM IAW AMM 21-00-00. ENGINE RUNS PERFORMED, NO LEAKS NOTED AND NO FUMES NOTED.
FA'S AND NUMEROUS PASSENGERS COMPLAINED OF BURNING RUBBER SMELL THROUGH 12,000' DECENT ROWS 15 AND BEYOND HAD MOST SMELL. TURNED PACK 2 OFF AND SMELL DID NOT GO AWAY. REAR FA'S HAD FUME EVENTS IN THE PAST AND CLAMED THIS WAS COMPLETELY DIFFERENT ODDER. PERFORMED OPS CHECK OF THE PACK SYSTEM REF AMM 21-63-00 NO CABIN ODOR DETECTED ON EITHER PACK REPLACED RECIRCULATION FILTERS IAW AMM 21-21-41.
