RAN APU & ENGINES TO PERFORM ADDITIONAL PURGES AND OPERATIONS CHECKS ON CABIN DOOR SEAL. RAN ENTRY DOOR SEAL THROUGH SEVERAL MORE CYCLES. OPERATIONS CHECKS GOOD. MX IAW CE560XLS MM52-10-04.

PLACED THE A/C ON JACKS AND PERFORMED MULTIPLE GEAR SWINGS. THE LANDING GEAR DOWN AND LOCKED LIGHTS CAME ON AND OFF AS SUPPOSED TO. BLEED THE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM AND SERVICED THE HYDRAULIC RESERVOIR. SERVICED THE EMERGENCY GEAR EXTENSION PNEUMATIC BOTTLE TO FULL. CHECKED THE LANDING GEAR UP LOCK SWITCHES FOR PROPER RIGGING AND FOUND THE RT MLG UPLOCK SWITCH TO BE OUT OF RIG. ADJUSTED THE RT MLG UPLOCK SWITCH AND PERFORMED MORE GEAR SWINGS TO CONFIRM OPERATION. OPS CHECKS GOOD ALL WORK DONE IAW CE-560XL AMM CH 32-30-05,12-12-01.

DURING DEPARTURE WITH APU ON AND APU BLEED AIR ON , HAD A STRONG SMELL OF JET A COMING THRU VENTS IN CABIN. AND COCKPIT. WE SHUT THE APU AND BLEED AIR OFF AND SMELLED REMAINED. WE TURNED THE SOURCE TO OFF TO ISOLATE, THE SMELL OF JET A STOPPED AFTER SOURCE WENT TO OFF POSITION. OPENED APU ENCLOSURE. INSPECTED APU COMPONENTS AND SURROUNDING DUCTING FOR SIGNS OF LEAKS WITH DEFECTS NOTED.PERFORMED APU RUNS FOLLOWED TURNING ON BLEED AIR SYSTEM. AT THE BEGINNING THERE WAS A HINT OF JET OR OIL SMELL . RAN THE APU FOR ABOUT 20 MINS AND COULD NOT REPLICATE THE SMELL SEEM TO HAVE DISSIPATE DURING THE RUN TIME. INSPECTED APU FUEL MANIFOLDS AND LINES FOR SIGNS OF LEAKS, NONE NOTED. PERFORMED HIGH POWER ENGINE RUNS, SELECT THE SOURCE TO NORMAL POSITION, DID NOT NOTICE ANY FOUL SMELLS, RAN LR & RH ENGINE INDIVIDUALLY WITH NO SMELL NOTICED. OPS CHECKED DEICE SYSTEMS COULD NOT DUPLICATE SMELLS.

PUT SQUAT SWITCHES IN FLIGHT CONDITION & RAN EACH ENG AT POWER WITH NO OBSERVANCE OF SMELL. RAN HEAT UP IN BOTH CABIN & COCKPIT SYSTEMS & OBTAINED NO OBSERVANCE OF SMELL. PULLED THE WATER SEPARATOR SOCK & FOUND IT TO BE DIRTY BUT DRY & NO SMELL. COMPLIED WITH LAW 21-60-00 & 21-51-00 OF THE MM. MCC IS SENDING A SOCK TO REPLACE THIS ONE. R & R WATER SOCK PN 83237-12 WITH NEW SOCK PN 83237-12. LEAK & OPERATIONS CHECKED GOOD IAW AMM 21-60-00.

FOUND ELEVATOR TRIM WHEEL LOOSE AND POINTER OUT OF ADJUSTMENT. ADJUSTED POINTER AND SECURED TRIM WHEEL ATTACH SCREWS IAW MM 27-32-01 & 27-31-00. ALL OPS AND TRAVEL CHECKED GOOD.
