THE CREW ALSO NOTICED A TORQUE INCREASE TO JUST OVER 100 PERCENT ON THE LT ENGINE. AN EMERGENCY WAS DECLARED AND THE AIRCRAFT RETURNED, LANDING SAFELY. DURING A GROUND INSPECTION IN MGM, THE LEFT OUTBOARD FLAP CANOE FAIRING SUPPORT BRACKET WAS FOUND TO BE CRACKED BEYOND LIMITS. MAINTENANCE REMOVED AND REPLACED THE LEFT OUTBOARD FLAP CANOE FAIRING SUPPORT BRACKET. OPERATIONAL CHECKS GOOD. AIRCRAFT OK FOR SERVICE. (M)
DURING TAKEOFF, AT APPROXIMATELY 3,000 FT WHILE INCREASING TO CLIMB POWER, THE RT ENGINE SPEED WENT TO 102.5 PERCENT. THE CREW REDUCED THE ENGINES TO 86 PERCENT WITH 1 INCH SPLIT IN THE LEVERS, THEN THE RT ENGINE DECREASED TO 83 PERCENT. AN EMERGENCY WAS DECLARED AND THE AIRCRAFT RETURNED TO ATL LANDING SAFELY. MAINTENANCE REMOVED AND REPLACED THE RT ELECTRONIC ENGINE CONTROL UNIT. ENGINE RUNS AND OPERATIONAL CHECKS GOOD. AIRCRAFT OK FOR SERVICE. (M)

FLT 4100 - DURING TAXI INTO ATL, THE FLIGHT ATTENDANT REPORTED THAT THE EMERGENCY EXIT SIGN ABOVE THE AFT JUMPSEAT LIT INTERMITTENTLY. MAINTENANCE REMOVED AND REPLACED THE DEFECTIVE BULB AND CLEANED THE CONNECTIONS. OPERATIONAL CHECKS GOOD. AIRCRAFT OK FOR SERVICE. (M)

DURING GROUND INSPECTION IN ATL, THE EMERGENCY LIGHTS WERE OPERATING INTERMITTENTLY. HALF OF THE SWITCHES WERE IN THE ARM POSITION AND NONE WERE IN THE ON POSITION. MAINTENANCE REMOVED AND REPLACED THE EMERGENCY LIGHT SWITCH. OPERATIONAL CHECKS GOOD. AIRCRAFT OK FOR SERVICE. (M)
