WE ENTERED THE PLANE AND WERE TESTING THE EMERGENCY LIGHTS AND FOUND SOME INOP. EMERGENCY LIGHT OVERHEAD SEAT NR 7, FLOOR LIGHTING SEAT NR 8, & EMERGENCY EXIT OVER A WING ARE NOT ILLUMINATING. CHARGED THE BATTERY FOR 60 MINS & STILL NO LIGHTS. VERIFIED DISCREPANCY. RESEARCHED AMM FOR LIGHT LOCATION THAT'S TIED TO THE BATTERY. FOUND THAT NR 3 BATTERY PACK LOCATION AFFECTS ALL THE LIGHTS AS DESCRIBED PER DISCREPANCY. REMOVED EMERGENCY BATTERY DUE TO BATTERY NOT HOLDING A CHARGE AND INSTALLED A NEW EMERGENCY BATTERY. ALLOWED BATTERIES TO CHARGE FOR 2 HRS. PERFORMED OPS CHECKS. OPS CHECKS SATISFACTORY. WORK PERFORMED IAW AMM 33-50-06.

RESET THE G SWITCH AND OPS CHECK GOOD.

PER CE-680A AMM 52-15-00 3-A (2) 'WHEN THE CABIN DOOR IS OPENED THE LIFT MOTOR APPLIES BRAKING THAT PREVENTS THE DOOR FROM OPENING TOO RAPIDLY AND CAUSING INJURY OR DAMAGE TO THE AIRPLANE." MAIN DOOR IS OPERATING NORMALLY.

SMOKE DISSIPATES WHEN TEMP IS DRIVEN COLD. REINSTALLED APU BLEED AIR LINE AND APU AIR TEMP BULB. COMPLIED WITH APU RUN AND ENVIRONMENTAL SYSTEM OPS CHECK. APU BLEED AIR LINES LEAK CHECK GOOD. APU AIR TEMP BULB LEAK CHECK AND OPERATIONAL CHECK GOOD. ENVIRONMENTAL SYSTEM OPERATIONAL CHECK GOOD. SMOKE AND OIL SMELL IS NO LONGER PRESENT IN CABIN WITH APU BLEED AIR ON AND CABIN HEAT SET TO MAX. REMOVED APU STARTER/GENERATOR PIN: 9914685-1 SIN: PL 050. FOUND OIL LEAKING FROM GARLOCK SEAL. NETJETS ELECTS TO REPLACE GARLOCK SEAL. WORK DONE IAW CITATION 680A MM SECTION 49-10-00 AND 80-10-25. REMOVED APU S/G ADAPTER ASSY. REMOVED AND REPLACED GARLOC SEAL. INSTALLED S/G ADAPTER ASSY. INSTALLED APU STARTER GENERATOR IAW 680A M/M CH.80-10-25. RAN APU AND OPERATED TEMPERATURE CONTROL FROM COLD TO HOT IN BOTH AUTO AND MANUAL MODES. SYSTEM OPS CHECKS GOOD WITH NO SMOKE OR OIL SMELL NOTED. SIG GARLOC SEAL LEAK CHECKS GOOD. INSTALLED APU R/H ACCESS PANEL.

COMPLIED WITH EMERGENCY LIGHTING SYSTEM OPERATIONAL CHECK IAW CE-680AS MM 33-50-00. OPERATIONAL CHECK GOOD. NO FURTHER DEFECTS NOTED AT THIS TIME.

REQUESTED CABLE INSPECTION OF AFT ELEVATOR TRIM CABLE, BECAUSE AC IN THE FLEET OF THIS SN BLOCK AND TIME SHOWED SIGNS OF FRAYING. DURING INSPECTION FOUND THE CABLE FRAYED AS IT TRANSVERSED THE PULLEY. REMOVED CABLE AND CHAIN ASSEMBLY AND PREFORMED LOOP CHECK, THIS SHOWED MORE STRANDS BROKEN THEN WHEN VISUALLY INSPECTED ON AIRCRAFT. PRIOR TO REMOVAL THE CABLE TENSION WAS CHECKED AND FOUND TO BE WITHIN LIMITS, CABLE AND PULLEYS HAD GOOD ALIGNMENT AND NO ABNORMAL WEAR ON THE PULLEYS. AN SCR HAS BEEN SUBMITTED TO MFG UNDER NR 244358
