ON APPROACH, RECEIVED A RT MLG UNSAFE RED X W/ AURAL MLG & GEAR DISAGREE R CAS. RAN QRH & BLOWED DOWN MLG, GEAR INDICATED GREEN & LOCKED. LATER, RECEIVED RT MLG UNSAFE YELLOW X. RAN QRH AGAIN, AFTER RELEASING MLG UNLOCKS, 3 GEAR, GREEN. DECLARED AN EMERGENCY & LANDED, NO ISSUES. ON POWER UP, RT MLG RED UNSAFE ON MFD. CHKD GEAR PCBS & FOUND ALL 3 GEAR INDICATING DOWN & LOCKED. RT MLG INDICATING UP & LOCKED. CYCLED RT MLG UP LOCK SWITCH & RT MLG INDICATION RETURNED TO NORMAL IAW WDM 32-30-01. SAME PROBLEM LAST LEG. DURING CLIMB OUT, A BURNING PLASTIC SMELL WAS ENCOUNTERED AND DID NOT GO AWAY UNTIL AFTER ENGINES WERE SHUT DOWN. NO SMOKE OR HAZE PRESENT AT ANY TIME. RAN AIRCRAFT WITH APU AND ENGINE RUNNING COULD NOT DUPLICATE BURNING PLASTIC SMELL. APU OFF AND ENGINES AT HIGH POWER RAN SYSTEM FULL HOT AND COULD NO DEFECTS NOTED. TRIED SINGLE SOURCE LEFT AND RIGHT AT HIGH POWER NO DEFECTS OR BURNING SMELLS NOTICED AT THIS TIME. COMPLIED WITH TASK TC-68A-21-181006MR2 ENVIRONMENTAL CONTROL SYSTEM BLEED AND TRIM AIR DUCT BURN PROCEDURE USING LT AND RT ENGINE, THEN APU. NO DEFECTS NOTED.
MAIN EXIT SIGN/LIGHT: WITH THE EMERGENCY LIGHTS ARMED AND THE PAX SAFETY OFF ,EXIT LIGHT REMAINS ON AT THE MAIN ENTRANCE *** CORRECTIVE ACTION *** RESET EMERGENCY LIGHTING INERTIA SWITCH AS REQUIRED AND OPS CHECKED GOOD WITH REFERENCE TO CE 680A AMM 33-50-00.
ALL LANDING GEAR EXTENSION DID NOT EXTEND, ALL LANDING GEAR DID NOT EXTEND NORMALLY. RAN THE LANDING GEAR WILL NOT EXTEND QRH AND AFTER BLOW DOWN WE HAD 3 GREEN. ARES DATA SHOWED THAT THE LEFT LG PCB PIN 58 IS RECEIVING A GEAR EXTEND COMMAND FROM THE LG CONTROL HANDLE. RMOVED LANDING GEAR HANDLE AND INSTALLED A SUPPLIED OVERHAULED HANDLE IAW MM 32-30-30. ACCOMPLISHED LANDING GEAR OPERATIONAL CHECKS IAW MM 32-00-00. OPS CHECKED GOOD. ACCOMPLISHED EMERGENCY GEAR EXTENSION PNEUMATIC BOTTLE SERVICING IAW MM 12-10-45. ACCOMPLISHED HYDRAULIC SYSTEM BLEEDING IAW MM 12-10-30.
NO TAKEOFF WARNING AND HORN , CAME ON AFTER JUST PASSING 70 KNTS. C/W FUNCTIONAL CHECK OF THE NO TAKEOFF SYSTEM. NO FAULTS FOUND. INSPECTED SPEEDBRAKE STOW SWITCHES & CONNCETORS. FOUND LT STOW SWITCH CONNECTOR IN SPEEDBRAKE COVE FULL OF WATER. CLEANED CONNECTOR & RECONNECTED. SATISFACTORY OPS & FUNCTIONAL CHECK OF SPEEDBRAKE & NO TAKE OFF SYSTEM IAW MM 27-61-00.
TRIM INDICATOR GOES .5 IN BEYOND FWD WHITE BAND AND ONLY BACK AS FAR AS THE O IN (TO) EXCESSIVE FWD CONTROL PRESSURES REQUIRED DURING TAKEOFF WITH INDICATOR IN TO RANGE. PERFORMED ELEVATOR TRIM SURVEY. FOUND EXCESSIVE CLEARENCE BETWEEN PIN AND SPACER. REMOVED ONE SPACER IAW MM CH 27-32-01 TO GET CLEARANCE OF .050 TO .080 REINSTALLED TRIM WHEEL. OPS CHECKED SATISFACTORY.
AFTER TAKEOFF, THE GEAR UNLOCK LIGHT, STAB MISCOMPARE AND HYD PRESS ANNUNCIATORS ILLUMINATED CONTINUOUSLY AFTER THE GEAR HANDLE WAS RAISED TO THE (UP) POSITION. THE HYD PRESS LIGHT NEVER FLASHED. REPLACED UPLOCK SWITCH IAW CH 32-60-01 WHILE ADJUSTING SWITCH, NOTICED UPLOCK ROLLER BRACKET ASSY BENT. REPLACED BRACKET ASSY IAW MM CHPT 32-20-01. ADJUSTED SWITCH IAW MM CHAPT 32-61-00. OPS CHECK GOOD DURING LANDING GEAR FUNCTIONAL. C/W UPLOCK SWITCH SAFTIES.
AFTER TAKEOFF , THE GEAR UNLOCK LIGHT ANNUNCIATOR ILLUIMINATED CONTINUOSLY AFTER THE GEAR HANDLE WAS RAISED TO THE UP POSITION. ADJUSTED L/R MAIN UPLOCK SWITCHES IAW MM CHPT 32-30-05. OPS CHECK GOOD IAW MM CHPT 32-01-00.
AFTER NORMAL T/O AND GEAR RETRACTION, THE HYD PRESSURE AND GEAR UNLOCK ANNUNCIATOR REMAINED ILLUMINATED. REMOVED THE NOSE GEAR UPLOCK ACTUATOR AND REPLACED WITH A NEW NOSE GEAR UPLOCK ACTUATOR SUPPLIED BY CESSNA AIRCRAFT COMPANY. PERFORMED THE NOSE GEAR UPLOCK ADJUSTMENT/TEST ALL WORK PERFORMED IAW MM 32-30-05. LUBRICATED ALL GEAR LINKAGES PERFORMED SEVERAL LANDING GEAR EXTENSION AND RETRACTION CHECKS IAW MM 32-30. ALL CHECKS SATISFACTORY AT THIS TIME.
AFTER NORMAL T/O FOLLOWING SOP'S GOT A FLASHING MASTER CAUTION HDG, STAB MISCOMPARE. REMOVED AND REPLACED BYPASS AND LANDING VALVE IAW MM 29-11-04 GROUND AND LEAK CHECK GOOD.
AFTER GEAR RETRACTION,GEAR UNLOCK LIGHT AND HYD PRESS ANNUNCIATOR REMAINED ILLUMINATED. REMOVED AND REPLACED NJG UPLOCK SWITCH. IAW CE 560XL M/M CHPT. 32-30-05. GEAR FUNCTIONAL. CHECK SATISFACTORY.
ON TAKE OFF ROLL, THE RT WINDSHIELD FAULT ANNUNCIATOR ILLUMINATED. REMOVED AND REPLACED POWER CONTROL UNIT ON RT ENG, OPS CHECK GOOD IAW CE 560XL M/M CH 24-20-01.
FOUND THE STATIC SYSTEM DRAIN VALVE POPPET RETAING RING COMING LOOSE FROM VALVE BASE.
TAXIING OUT FOR DEPARTURE FROM TEB, WHILE MAKING RIGHT TURN AIRCRAFT WOULD NOT RESPOND & SUDDENLY MOVED TO THE LEFT. PRESSING ON THE RIGHT BRAKE WAS A RESISTANCE FEEL IN PEDAL MOVEMENT AND ACFT TURNED SHARPLY LEFT. REMOVED RIGHT BRAKE ASSY AS PER CUSTOMER REQUEST, INSTALLED O/H BRAKE ASSY. TAXI CHECK BY CREW AND OPS CHECK GOOD. BLEED BRAKES AS REQUIRED AND NO LEAKS NOTED. ALL WORK PERFORMED IAW CE-560XL MM CHAPTER 32-42-00.
SHORTLY AFTER TAKEOFF, AN ODOR PERMEATED THE AIRPLANE. SMELLED ELECTRICAL, BUT NO SMOKE OR VISIBLE INDICATIONS. SIC'S EYES WERE BURNING, PIC HAD SLIGHT HEADACHE AFTER LANDING. RAN A/C. INSTANTLY ON START-UP OBSERVED A SOAP OR CRAYON LIKE ODOR. RAN A/C FOR 30 MIN. ODOR GRADUALLY WENT AWAY. NO BURNING EYES OR HEADACHES. OPERATED COCKPIT & CABIN TEMP CONTROL TO FULL HOT & COLD SEVERAL TIMES. ODOR NOT NOTICEABLE AT END OF RUN-UP. NO DEFECTS NOTED IAW 560 XL MM 71-00-04. REMOVED AND REPLACED LEFT AND RT OZONE CONVERTERS PERFORMED FULL POWER RUN LEAK CHECK GOOD. NO ODOR IN COCKPIT OR CABIN NOTED WORK PERFORMED PER CESSNA 560XL CH 27-71-00.
NO GEAR INDICATION LIGHTS WHEN LANDING GEAR EXTENDED. GEAR CIRCUIT BREAKER POPPED. DURING CHECKLIST, WHEN C/B WAS RESET, MOMENTARILY GOT 3 GREEN LIGHTS, THEN C/B POPPED AGAIN. GEAR WAS BLOWN DOWN PER CHECKLIST. TROULBLESHOT SYSTEM, CHECKED POWER WIRES 1PC044-1- PC043, 1PC044-BP029, & GP1009-BPC029 FOR SHORTS TO GROUND WITH A MEGOMETER, ALL WIRES CHECKED GOOD. ISOLATED PROBLEM TO THE GEAR LOGIC PCBNZ004. REPLACED IT WITH A NEW UNIT. OPS CHECK GOOD IAW CE560XL WDM 32-60-01, 91-20-04 & MM 32-30-00.
COULD NOT RAISE GEAR HANDLE TO RETRACT GEAR AFTER T/O. INSPECTED GEAR HANDLE AND FOUND IT TO BE BINDING. REMOVED GEAR HANDLE WHEEL AND CLEANED SLIDING SAFETY SHAFT INSTALLED GEAR HANDLE WHEEL AND PERFORMED GEAR SWING, OPS CHECK GOOD. WORK DONE IAW 560XL M/M 32-30-00.
DURING APPROACH, SELECTED GEAR DOWN, HEARD THE GEAR DEPLOY BUT GOT NO SAFE LIGHT INDICATION. GEAR WARN C/B POPPED & RESET IT TO FIND 3 GREEN, LANDED NORMAL. TROUBLESHOT FAULT WITH TEAM XL AND ISOLATED FAULT TO A CHAFED WIRE HARNESS IN THE LEFT WHEEL. REPAIRED HARNESS AND THE OPERATIONAL CHECKS WERE GOOD IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE 560 XL MM 32-20-00.
DID NOT GET ANY GEAR INDICATION LIGHTS WHEN LANDING GEAR WAS EXTENDED GEAR CIRCUIT BREAKER WAS POPPED. RESET C/B & IT POPPED AGAIN. RESET C/B A 2ND TIME AND IT STAYED IN. BLEW GEAR DOWN MANUALLY PER THE CESSNA EMERGENCY CHECKLIST. FOUND MINOR CORROSION ON LT MLG SWITCH PLUG PL 003. THAT CAUSES GEAR WARNING BREAKER TO POP. CLEANED CANNON PLUG WITH LPS CONTACT CLEANER. RECONFIGURATE GEAR & BRAKE PNEUMATIC SYSTEM. SERVICED BOTTLE TO CORRECT PRESSURE WITH NITROGEN. PERFORMED LANDING GEAR SYSTEM FUNCTIONAL TEST, TESTED NORMAL. BLED HYDRAULIC SYSTEM. WORK PERFORMED IAW CE560 XL MM CHAP 32-01-00 AND 12-13-01.
AFTER TAKEOFF RED GEAR UNLOCK LIGHT WILL NOT GO OUT WHEN GEAR HANDLE IS SELECTED UP. CYCLED GEAR 2 TIMES WITH NO CHANGE, ACCOMPLISHED AIR TURNBACK AND LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENTS. ACCOMPLISHED GEAR SWING AND FOUND NOSE GEAR NOT LOCKING, MEASURED STRUT EXTENSION AND FOUND TO BE OVER EXTENDED. REMOVED PISTON ASSEMBLY FROM TRUNNION AND FOUND UPPER BEARING CAP NOT FULLY SEATED ON PISTON. RETORQUED CAP AND ASSEMBLED STRUT AND SERVICED. SWUNG GEAR & CHECKED GOOD, ALL WORK DONE IAW CESSNA 560XL COMPONENT MM CHAPTER 32-20-01, OPS AND LEAK CHECK GOOD.
