NEITHER COULD GET TRIM TO MOVE. RETURNED TO FIELD AND DID DECLARE EMERGENCY, WAS NOT AN OVERWEIGHT LANDING. THE AIRCRAFT LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT. DID NOT RECEIVE CMC MESSAGES OR EICAS MESSAGES. THE AIRCRAFT WAS REMOVED FROM SERVICE. PERFORMED OPERATIONAL CHECK OF HORIZONTAL STABILIZER ELECTRICAL FLASH ELECTRONIC SYSTEM IAW EMB145 AMM 27-40-00. THE OPERATIONAL CHECK WAS GOOD. ON FLIGHT 3693 CREW REPORTED THAT THEIR WAS A READING LIGHT THAT WAS FLICKERING AND THEN BEGAN TO EMIT AN ODOR OR SMOKE WHILE IN FLIGHT AIRCRAFT REMOVED FROM SERVICE. UPON INVESTIGATION FOUND CONNECTORS TO BE DAMAGED ON LIGHT ASSEMBLY. REMOVED AND REPLACED LIGHT ASSEMBLY NO FURTHER DEFECTS NOTED. AIRCRAFT RETURNED TO SERVICE.

DURING TAKEOFF, CREW NOTED THE AIRCRAFT SHUDDERED WHEN CLIMB THRUST SELECTED AFTER TAKEOFF. REPLACED FADEC 1A AND 1B IAW AMM. PASSED FCF. AIRCRAFT RETURNED TO SERVICE. (M)
DURING APPROACH CREW REPORTED FLAP FAIL AND SPS ADVANCE CAUTION MESSAGES ON EICAS. RESETING BREAKERS DID NOT HELP. MAINTENANCE RESET FLAP ELECTRIC CONTROL UNIT IAW MM. INDICATION RETURNED TO NORMAL AND ALL EICAS MESSAGES WERE CLEARED. AIRCRAFT WAS RETURNED TO SERVICE.
