THE DROPPED-AISLE EMERGENCY LIGHTS BETWEEN SEAT 8 AND SEAT 6 ARE INOPERATIVE.
DURING CRUISE FLIGHT AT FL390 WITH CLEAR AIR AND SMOOTH RIDE , WE FELT A MOMENTARY UNCOMMANDED BACK AND FORTH YAWING MOTION. SUBSEQUENTLY AT FL350 WE AGAIN FELT A MOMENTARY UNCOMMANDED BACK AND FORTH YAWING MOTION. THIRDLY AT FL310 WE FELT AND OBSERVED AN UNCOMMANDED RIGHT RUDDER APPLICATION FOR APPROXIMATELY 5 SECONDS , WE FELT THE AIRCRAFT YAW AND OBSERVED THE SLIP AND SKID INDICATOR MOVE ABOUT HALF SCALE TO THE LEFT. THE CONDITION THEN CORRECTED TO NORMAL. THE AUTOPILOT WAS ENGAGED DURING ALL 3 EVENTS. DIVERTED TO IAD FOR A NORMAL LANDING. NO OTHER UNCOMMANDED RUDDER INPUTS OBSERVED. R & R RUDDER SERVO FELT A MOMENTARY UNCOMMANDED BACK & FORTH YAWING REF AMM 22-11-01. OPS CHECK OF RUDDER SERVO GOOD.
MAIN EXIT SIGN/LIGHT: FWD EXIT SIGN OF MAIN CABIN DOOR IS INTERMITTENT WITH EMER LIGHTS SWITCHED ON. LOCATED AND FOUND LOWER FORWARD LIGHT EXIT ASSEMBLY AT THE CABIN DOOR TO BE INTERMITTENT WHEN TAPPING ON IT. REMOVED INTERIOR PANEL AND INSPECTED WIRING AND INSTALLATION OF LIGHT ASSEMBLY FOR INTERMITTENT WIRING. FOUND THAT THE CONNECTOR TO THE LIGHT ASSEMBLY TO BE INTERMITTENT. CLEAN CONTACTS WITH CONTACT CLEANER AND THIS PRODUCED A SOLID CONNECTION. ALL WORK IN ACCORDANCE WITH CE 560XL 33-50-02. ALL EMERGENCY LIGHTS OPS CHECKED GOOD. REINSTALLED INTERIOR PANEL. FLOOR AISLE LIGHTS FROM SEAT 5 TO CABIN DOOR IS VERY DIM AND NOT SUFFICENT FOR EMERGENCY AISLE LIGHTING. REMOVED AND REPLACED FWD CABIN DROPPED AISLE LIGHTING ASSEMBUES IAW AMM 33-20-04. OPS CHECKED GOOD.
EMERGENCY LIGHTING: FORWARD INTERIOR CABIN EMERGENCY LIGHTING BATTERY APPEARS TO BE DEAD. BRAKE PRESSURE LIGHT: DURING TAXI OUT OF THE CHOCKS BOTH THE LOW BREAK PRESSURE ANNUNCIATOR AND ANTISKID INOP ANNUNCIATOR ILLUMINATED. WE IMMEDIATELY STOPPED THE AIRCRAFT AND HAD IT TOWED BACK TO PARKING. // SIGNOFF // REMOVED BRAKE SYSTEM HYDRAULIC PUMP P/N 9912166-3,...S/N 6435 AND INSTALLED CUSTOMER SUPPLIED NEW UNIT P/N 9912166-3 S/N 5BT11 , SERVICED RESERVOIR AS REQUIRED AND OPS CHEKCED GOOD WITH REFERENCE TO CE 560 XL AMM 32-44-20.
DURING MX WHEN QA INSPECTOR WAS EXITING THE AIRCRAFT THE STEP FAILED CAUSING DAMAGE TO THE STEP HINGE. REMOVED AND REPLACED RISER ASSY AND RISER COVER WITH NEW RISER AND RISER COVER IAW CE560XL.S MM S2-10-02 AND SRM 51-40-08. ALL OPS CHECKS OF DOOR AND STEPS GOOD AT THIS TIME.
RIGHT ENGINE OIL PRESSURE LOW ANNUNCIATOR WITH MASTER WARNING. AT 13,000FT, DURING CLIMB OUT, WITH CLIMB POWER SET AIRSPEED 250 KNOTS OIL PRESSURE INDICATES ZERO FOR APPROX 3 MINUTES. RAN QRH OIL. *** CORRECTIVE ACTION *** PER PWC ENGINEERING, PCE·DD0355 IS TO BE REMOVED FOR INSPECTION DUE TO PILOT REPORTED OIL PRESSURE OF 0 PSI FOR EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME. PER MCC REQUEST REMOVED RH ENGINE PN:30J2622-01, SN:PCE-DD0355 AND INSTALLED NOW RENTAL ENGINE PN:30J2622-01, SN:PCE-DD0700. PERFORMED OPERATIONAL LEAK CHECKS WITH NO DEFECTS NOTED. ALL MAINTENANCE PERFORMED IAW PW545B EMM 71-00.00 AND CE 560XLS AMM 71-00-03.

LEFT AND RIGHT UPPER WING SKIN CORROSION.
DURING TAKEOFF AT 1,500 FT, RIGHT ENGINE EXCEEDED ITT RED LINE PRIOR TO FLAP RETRACT ALTITUDE. COMPLIED WITH EXTENSIVE TROUBLESHOOTING. REF MESA WORK ORDER REV. 45358 FOR >FULL DETAILS. REPLACED BLEED AIR SEALS AS NEEDED. COMPLETED A COMPRESSOR WASH AND BLADE CLEANING IAW MM 71-00-00. COMPLETED A CAPPED 5 POINT RUN AFTERWARDS. ENTERED IN THE DATA IN THE ENGINE CALIBRATION RUN DATA SHEET. THE RESULTS WERE FOUND TO BE AN ACCEPTABLE MARGIN FOR A FLIGHT TO A MANUFACTURER FACILITY FOR FURTHER MAINTENANCE. REMOVED THE BLANK OFF PLATES AND PUT IN NEW GASKETS, RAN THE ENGINE AND LEAK CHECKED GOOD. INSTALLED THE UPPER AND LOWER COWLING.
APU WAS STARTED & ELECTRICAL POWER WAS APPLIED TO ALL SYSTEMS. AFTER ABOUT 15 MINUTES AN ELECTRICAL BURNING ODOR WAS NOTED FOLLOWED BY SMOKE, A BLANK PFD 2 & ILLUMINATION OF THE PFD 2 FAIL LIGHT. REMOVED NR 2 PFD & VERIFIED BURNING ODOR IS COMING FROM UNIT. INSTALLED NEW PDF. OPS CHECKED GOOD IAW MM 34-26-00.
AFTER TAKEOFF, SELECTED GEAR UP & IT DID NOT RETRACT. R & R THE LANDING GEAR HANDLE CONTROL UNIT IAW MM 32-30-01. OPS CHECKED GOOD.
APU STARTED NORMALLY ON THE GND BUT SHUT ITSELF OFF AFTER 2 MINUTES OF NORMAL OPERATION. OBSERVED & SMELLED WHITE SMOKE FROM THE WEMACS AS THE UNIT SHUT DOWN. THE APU FAIL LIGHT WAS ALSO ILLUMINATED. DOWNLOADED ECU -3 SHUTDOWN HISTORY HAS FAULT NR 4 LOW OIL PRESS SWITCH INPUT & NR 15 NO ENG SPEED SENSED. OIL VISIBLE ON INTAKE & DRAIN LINES. REMOVED APU PN 3800722-1, SN P-313, BUILT-UP & INSTALLED REPLACEMENT APU PN 3800722-1, SN P-570 IAW MM 49-10-00. SERVICED APU OIL IAW MM 12-11-03 WITH BP2380. RAN APU, OPERATIONS & LEAK CHECKED GOOD.
DURING CLIMBOUT, A STRONG, BURNING, ELECTRICAL ODOR WAS NOTICED IN THE COCKPIT. ODOR DISSIPATED AFTER ABOUT FIVE MINUTES AND NO SMOKE WAS NOTICED. ODOR WAS NOT NOTICED IN CABIN. FOUND THE CO-PILOT PFD HAD A BURNED ODOR. INSTALLED A NEW PFD AND OPS CHECKED GOOD IAW MM 34-26-00. EFIS SYSTEM OPS CHECKED GOOD IAW MM 34-26-00.
DURING A SCHEDULED INSP WE FOUND THE FWD BAGGAGE DOOR HINGE ASSY CRACKED IN SEVERAL PLACES. 2 CRACKS IN SUPPORT CHANNEL 66120720-2 AND 1 CRACK ON CHANNEL 6612069-11. THE CRACKS WERE FOUND BY VISUAL INSP. THIS ACFT HAD SB560XL-52-13 INSTALLED AT THE FACTORY. AN SCR HAS BEEN SENT TO MFG UNDER NR 621735.
LT MLG GREEN LIGHT INOPERATIVE. DID A GO AROUND, TESTED THE GEAR LIGHTS. RAN THE BB1 EMERGENCY CHECK LIST. RELAMPED LT MLG GREEN LIGHTS. PERFORMED LANDING GEAR INDICATION LIGHT WITH NO DEFECTS NOTED AT THIS TIME. WORK DONE IAW MM 33-10-01.
RT ENGINE OIL PRESSURE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED INFLIGHT AT 25,000'. OIL PRESSURE ON GUAGE AT CRUISE POWER SETTING WAS APPROX 28PSI. RETARDED THROTTLE TO IDLE AND OIL PRESSURE ROSE TO APPROX 68 PSI. ENG DATA BUTTON PRESSED DURING DESCENT. PASSING 6,000' ON DESCENT AT IDLE, ENG PARAMETERS WERE N1 33.0 PERCENT, N2 59.6 PERCENT, OIL PRESS 68PSI, OIL TEMP 34 DEG, RAT 17 DEG. LANDED UNEVENTFULLY BUT AT ENGINE SHUTDOWN, ENG WAS SMOKING AND NO OIL ON SIGHT GUAGE. T/S TO BAD GARLOCK SEAL ON GEARBOX BREATHER TUBE. R & R SEAL AND COMPLETED OIL CONSUMPTION RUN. OPS & LEAK CHECKED GOOD. DATA REF IAW MM 72-60-02.
RT LANDING GEAR WOULD NOT INDICATE DOWN AND LOCKED AFTER NORMAL EXTENSION. RAN THE EMERGENCY CHECKLIST, PULLED THE HANDLE AND BLOW DOWN AND STILL NO GREEN INDICATION. YAWING ACFT WOULD NOT GIVE DOWN AND LOCKED INDICATION. LIGHT WAS CONFIRMED TO WORK WITH ROTARY TEST. RED GEAR UNSAFE LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED, AND GEAR UNSAFE HORN ACTIVATED ACCORDINGLY. REPLACED RT MLG ACTUATOR IAW MM CH 32-30-04.
ON CLIMBOUT AT ABOUT 20,000 FT, WE GOT AN ACM OVERHEAT ANNUNCIATOR FOLLOWED BY A RISE IN CABIN ALTITUDE. WE COMPLETED APPROPRIATE CHECKLISTS AND RETURNED TO DEPARTURE. REMOVED OLD OVER TEMP SWITCH, INSTALLED NEW SWITCH. LEAK AND OPS CHECK GOOD. WORK DONE IAW MM CH. 21-51-00.
NR1 ENGINE FUEL BOOST PUMP LIGHT FLASHED UPON DESCENT. A FEW SECONDS AFTER THE FLASH THE NR1 ENGINE FAILED. REMOVED/REPLACED FUEL METERING UNIT, FUEL FLOW DIVIDER, AND FUEL FLOW TRANSMITTER. REMOVED FUEL LINES AND INSPECTED FOR CONTAMINATION, NONE FOUND, REINSTALLED. REPLACED FUEL FILTER IAW PWC MM 3052242R-7 CH 73-10-05. PERFORMED GROUND CHECKS FOLLOWING MAJOR COMPONENT REPAIR/REPLACEMENT IAW PWC MM 3052242S-7 CH 71-00-00. OPERATED ENGINE AT 80 PERCENT N1 FOR ONE HOUR. NO FAULTS FOUND, ENGINE OPERATES NORMALLY.
CLIMBING TO ALTITUDE THE LEFT GREEN INDICATOR LIGHT STARTED FLICKERING ON AND OFF. NO HYDRAULIC OR GEAR UNSAFE LIGHTS WERE PRESENT. AT FL300 IT CONTINUED TO FLICKER AND STYING ON LONGER AND LONGER, IT DID THIS FOR 1/2 HOUR. AT GEAR EXTENSION ALL GREEN LIGHTS. REMOVED LANDING GEAR PCB CARD. INSTALLED NEW PCB CARD. PERFORMED OPS ON LANDING GEAR WITH NO DEFECTS NOTED AT THIS TIME. WORK DONE IAW CITATION 560XLS MM CH 24-51-01
THE NR 2 ENGINE FIRE LIGHT WOULD FAINTLY GLOW AND FLICKER DURING FLIGHT WHEN WE WERE IN FROZEN PRECIP AND CONTINUOUS CHOP TURBULENCE. THE ENG/WING ANTI ICE WAS ON, BUT ALL ENGINE PARAMETERS APPEARED NORMAL. EXITING THE WEATHER CONDITIONS THE INDICATION WENT A AWAY. INSPECTED RT ENGINE FIRE CABLE FOUND CABLE UNSAFETY AND VERY LOOSE AT CONNECTING POINT. ALSO FOUND 3 CLAMPS MISSING RECONNECTED AND SAFETIED. INSTALLED 3 NEW CLAMP. INSPECTED RT ENGINE FOR BLEED LEAKS NONE NOTED. PERFORMED ENGINE FIRE TEST CHECK GOOD. RAN ENGINE ALL INDICATIONS GOOD ALL WORK IAW CE560XLS M/M CH 26-11-01
AFTER FLAPS WERE SELECTED UP, HYD PRESS ANNUNCIATOR REMAINED ILLUMINATED. AFTER 40 SECONDS -STAB MISCOMP- ANNUNCIATOR ALSO ILLUMINATED WITH FLASHING MASTER CAUTION. RAN AIRCRAFT ON EITHER & BOTH ENGINES CYCLED FLAPS FOUND STABS OPERATION WITHIN TIME LIMITS. (22 SECONDS FULL TRAVEL). CONNECTED GROUND HYDRAULIC UNIT. FOUND OPERATION STILL WITHIN LIMITS. (NO CHANGE) SUSPECT AIRSPEED SWITCH. (TAH32256). C/W AIRSPEED SWITCH CHECK, RESISTANCE BETWEEN PIN A AND B NOT TO BE INFINITE. REMOVED & REPLACED AIR SPEED SWITCH IAW 560 XL MM 27-40-00. C/W LEAK TEST IAW 560 XL MM 34-11-08, MM 604. POSITION HORIZONTAL STAB IAW 560XL MM 27-40-00. SYSTEM OPS TEST OKAY.
