CORRECTIVE ACTION: REMOVED EXTERIOR DOOR HANDLE AND REPLACED BROKEN DOOR SPRING WITH NEW UNIT P/N: SL5204-2 AND REPLACED COTTER PIN WITH NEW UNIT P/N: MS24665-132. PERFORMED OPS CHECK AND WAS FOUND TO BE SATISFACTORY. ALL WORK PERFORMED IAW MODEL 560XL MAINTENANCE MANUAL 52-10-01
UPON TAKEOFF ROTATION THE AMBER ACM OVERHEAT ANNUNCIATOR ILLUMINATED. OT WAS ACCOMPANIED WITH A BURNING SMELL IN THE AIRCRAFT. THE SMELL LASTED FOR A FEW MINITES AND WAS NOT NOTICEABLE AGAIN. THE REAR TAILCONE ACCESS COMPARTMENT ALSO SMELLED NORMAL UPON INSPECTION AFTER LANDING. REMOVED AND REPLACED CONDENSER BAG (SOCK) PN: 83237-12 WITH NEW UNIT PN: 83237-12. PERFORMED SATISFACTORY LEAK AND OPS CHECK. WORK PERFORMED JAW CE-560XL AMM 12-19-02
CAPTAIN MLG BRAKE PEDAL: LEFT SEAT RIGHT BRAKE PEDAL HAS VERY LITTLE BRAKING AND MECHANICAL BINDING SOUND. INSPECTED AND FOUND THE PILOT LEFT SEAT RIGHT BRAKE CABLE FRAYED AND PARTIALLY BROKEN UNDER FLOOR PANEL BELOW SEAT. R&R FRAYED CABLE
EMERGENCY LIGHTING: WHEN RUNNING POWER ON CHECKLIST. EMERGENCY LIGHT TEST FAILS. NO LIGHTS AT ALL. TROUBLESHOT DOWN TO FAULTY EMERGENCY LIGHTING SWITCH. REMOVED PILOT SEAT FOR EASE OF ACCESS TO SWITCH REMOVED FAULTY SWITCH PN: AL-1269 AND SOLDERED IN NEW SWITCH PN: A3-1269 IAW 560XL WM CH, 33-50÷01,PERFORMED OPERATIONAL CHECK OF THE EMERGENCY LIGHTING SYSTEM IAW 560XL AMM CH, 33-50-00, OPS CHECKGOOD. PERFORMED CREW POWER ON CHECKS FOR EMERGENCY LIGHTING, NO DEFECTS NOTED. REINSTALLED PILOT SEATIAW 560XL AMM CH, 25-11-01. OPERATIONAL CHECK OF THE PILOT SEAT IS GOOD, NO FURTHER ACTION IS REQUIRED.
WHEN THE MAIN CABIN DOOR IS ON THE PRECATCH AND THE DOOR HANDLE IS NOT LOCKED, THE PRECATCH RELEASE LEVER WILL NOT RELEASE THE DOOR OFF OF THE PRECATCH. TO RELEASE THE DOOR YOU MUST FIRST LOCK THE DOOR AND THEN UNLOCK THE CABIN DOOR. THE PRECATCH DOES CATCH THE DOOR PROPERLY WHEN CLOSING. PRECATCH RED RELEASE LEVER IS INOP CLEANED AND LUBRICATED MED PRECATCH RELEASE ASSEMBLY. CYCLED MED AND PRECATCH RELEASE 12 TIMES WITH NO DISCREPANCIES NOTED THEN STARTED APU AND CYCLED THEM 12 MORE TIMES TO VERIFY ISSUE IS NOT DOOR SEAL RELATED, ALL WITH NO DISCREPANCIES NOTED REF CE560XL MM 52-10-01
PRE CATCH WILL NOT RELEASE FROM INSIDE HANDLE, AND RED HANDLE SPINS FREE ON THE STEM. ADJUSTED THE BELLCRANK AND THE HANDLE ENOUGH TO SECURE THE HANDLE FIRMLY. SECURED BELLCRANK ENOUGH TO ALLOW FREEDOM TO SWIVEL. OPS CHECK GOOD. RESECURED DOOR PANEL. INFORMED MCC. NO FURTHER MAINTENANCE ACTION REQUIRED.
A FEW SECONDS AFTER TAKEOFF, WITH APU ON, WE GOT A STRONG METALLIC/ACRID ODOR. NO HAZE OR SMOKE NOTED. AT THE SAME TIME THERE WAS A LOUD HOWL/WHINING. CABIN TEMP STARTED TO INCREASE. SHUTDOWN THE APU & HOWLING/WHINING WAS NOTICEABLY REDUCED, BUT CONTINUED. IT CHANGED WITH POWER CHANGES. VERIFIED ACM COOLING TURBINE SIEZED. REMOVED FAULTY ACM COOLING TURBINE & INSTALLED AN OVERHAULED UNIT. REMOVED A DAMAGED ENVIRONMENTAL DUCT & REPLACED WITH NEW. REMOVED WATER SOCK, CLEANED & INSPECTED. FOUND SATISFACTORY. REINSTALLED WATER SOCK. OPS TEST OF ECU SYS FOUND SATISFACTORY, NO LEAKS NOTED. REFERENCE SIL GP-20 REV:2 CMM, AMM 21-51-00 & 12-19-02.
MAIN DOOR PRECATCH: DOOR DOES NOT RELEASE WITH PRECATCH HANDLE. MUST LOCK THEN UNLOCK DOOR TO GET IT TO OPEN. ADJUSTED MAIN DOOR PRECATCH IAW CE560XLS AMM 52-10-01 OPS CHECK SATISFACTORY. NO FURTHER DEFECTS NOTED
EMERGENCY LIGHTS INADVERTENTLY LEFT ON BY THE CREW. CREW ASKED FOR THE BATTERIES TO BE CHARGED AND THE SYSTEM TO BE OP CHECKED. FOUND LIGHTS IN THE OFF POSITION WHEN ARRIVED AT AIRCRAFT. FOUND FORWARD EXIT SIGNS AT CABIN DOOR INOP WHEN AIRCRAFT POWER IS OFF.
CABIN EMERG LIGHT: THE FORWARD AISLE EMERGENCY LIGHTS BETWEEN SEAT 5 AND MAIN CABIN DOOR ARE INOP. IT APPEARS TO HAVE A BROKEN WIRE. TECHS REMOVED BROKEN SPLICE AND INSTALLED A NEW SPLICE. OPS TEST OF THE EMER LIGHTS FOUND SATISFACTORY. REFERENCE: 560XL AMM 33-2Q-4 AND SPM 20-30-25.
FLOOR EMERG EXIT LIGHT: LEFT FOWARD EMER FLOOR PATHWAY LIGHTS ARE INOP. // SIGNOFF// REMOVED INOP LH MOST FWD LOWER LED LIGHTING STRIP P/N: 9919040-9, AND INSTALLED A NEW LED LIGHTING STRIP ASSEMBLY P/N: 9919040-26 IN THE LOWER LH FLOOR LIGHTING POSITION. AN OPS CHECK WAS PERFORMED WITH SATISFACTORY RESULTS. ALL WORK PERFORMED IAW CE-560XLS AMM 33-20-04.
BATTERY TEMP LIGHT: ON CLIMBOUT THE MASTER WARNING AND STEADY BATT O'TEMP ANNUNCIATOR LIGHTS ILLUMINATED. CARRIED OUT QRC BUT NO AMP DECREASE NOTED. CARRIED OUT QRH PROCEDURES. THE BATTERY TEMPERATURE GAUGE REMAINED IN AMBER RANGE. BATTERY WAS DISCONNECTED USING BATT DISC SWITCH. EVENTUALLY THE BATT O'HEAT LIGHT WENT OUT BUT CAME BACK ON AGAIN AS WE DESCENDED THROUGH 5000 FEET AND REMAINED ILLUMINATED THROUGH REMAINDER OF FLIGHT. ON POSTFLIGHT THE BATTERY WAS HOT TO THE TOUCH. MANUALLY DISCONNECTED THE BATTERY. BY AN HOUR LATER BATTERY WAS COOL TO THE TOUCH. // SIGNOFF// REMOVED AND REPLACED MAIN SHIP BATTERY WITH AN OVERHAULED BATTERY IAW CE·560XLS AMM 24-32-00. BATTERY IS CHARGING NORMALLY. THE BATTERY TEMPERATURE INDICATION IN THE COCKPIT IS READING CORRECTLY AND THE BATTERY IS THE AMBIENT TEMPERATURE OUTSIDE. PN OFF/ON 9914058-LL SN OFF 000698DE. SN ON 0021F793.

CLEANED THE CONNECTION LEADS IN REFERENCE TO CE560XL AMM 20-30·05. AISLE LIGHTS OPS CHECKED GOOD, NO FAULT REMAINS.
PRE CATCH LEVER WILL NOT RELEASE FROM INSIDE AND CABIN DOOR TAKES MULTIPLE HARD CLOSINGS FOR IT TO CATCH. SIGNOFF. GAIN ACCESS AND INSPECTED MAIN CABIN DOOR PRECATCH MECHANISM SYSTEM FOR PROPER OPERATION, ADJUSTED AS REQUIRED. PERFORMED OPERATIONAL TEST AND OPERATIONS CHECKED SATISFACTORY, IAW CESSNA CE-560XLS M/M CHAPTER 52-10-01. CLOSED ACCESS.
THE PRECATCH LEVER WILL NOT ALLOW THE MAIN CABIN DOOR TO BE OPENED FROM THE INSIDE OR OUTSIDE WITH THE APU OFF. SOME OF THE PRECATCH LEVER REMAINS EXPOSED IN THE DOOR FRAME AFTER THE HANDLE IS PULLED. REMOVED WORN PRECATCH ASSEMBLY HOUSING, SLIDE RELEASE AND GUIDE WITH ATTACHING HARDWARE AND INSTALLED CUSTOMER SUPPLIED NEW HOUSING, SLIDE RELEASE AND GUIDE WITH ATTACHING HARDWARE, IAW CE-560XL AMM 52-10-01. REMOVED WORN BELLCRANK WITH ATTACHING HARDWARE AND INSTALLED CUSTOMER SUPPLIED NEW BELLCRANK AND ATTACHING HARDWARE, IAW CE-560XL AMM 52-10-01. REMOVED WORN INTERIOR HANDLE SHAFT, EXTERIOR BUTTON AND BUTTON SHAFT AND INSTALLED CUSTOMER SUPPLIED NEW INTERIOR HANDLE SHAFT, EXTERIOR BUTTON AND BUTTON SHAFT, IAW CE-560XL AMM 52-10-01. ALL PARTS VERIFIED, IAW CE-560XL IPC 52-10-01. RIGGING AND OPERATIONAL CHECKS GOOD, IAW CE-560XL AMM 52-10-01. CABIN LEAK TEST CHECKS GOOD, IAW CE-560XL AMM 21-30-00. NO DEFECTS NOTED.
DURING PREFLIGHT WITH THE APU RUNNING & BLEED AIR ON THERE WAS NO COLD AIR BEING PRODUCED. AFTER SELECTING A COLDER TEMP & AIR SOURCE TO HIGH WITHIN A MINUTE THERE WAS A POOF SOUND & THE CABIN FILLED WITH A STRONG SMOKE & ELECT SMELL. ACM OVERHEAT ANNUNCIATOR FLASHED & THE APU SHUTDOWN. TROUBLE SHOT FOUND APU BLEED VLV STUCK IN MAX COOL POSITION CAUSING ACM TO SEIZE. R & R ACM IAW MM 2215460 & 2341316 CHAP 2-2-04 & INSTALLED BLEED SHUT OFF VLV IAW MM CHAP 36-12-00. NEW SEAL PN 460-200 & MS9068-032. OPERATIONS & LEAK CHECKED GOOD.
AFTER TAKEOFF GEAR HANDLE WOULD NOT COME UP. R & R THE GEAR HANDLE ASSEMBLY IAW MM 32-30-01, OPERATIONS CHECKED GOOD.
AFTER DEPARTURE, GEAR HANDLE WOULD NOT PULL OUT OF PANEL TO ALLOW GEAR RETRACTION. GEAR GREEN LIGHTS NEVER WENT OUT, RETURNED & LANDED UNEVENTFULLY. REMOVED AND RPLACED LT SQUAT SWITCH IAW AMM 32-61-00. REMOVED AND REPLACED GEAR CONTROL PCB IAW AMM 24-51-02. OPS CHECKED NORMAL.
AT APPROXIMATELY 9000 FT, AFTER TAKEOFF RECEIVED A LEFT ENGINE FIRE MASTER LIGHT, NO MASTER WARNING, PERFORMED MEMORY ITEMS AND LIGHT WENT OUT WHEN LEFT THROTTLE WAS BROUGHT TO IDLE. NO OTHER INDICATIONS. INSPECTED LT ENGINE AND FOUND FIRE DETECTOR CABLE CHAFED THROUGH NEAR FUEL LINE AT PYLON. REPLACED THE LT ENGINE FIRE DETECTOR CABLE WITH A NEW CABLE IAW MM 26-11-01. OPS CHECKED GOOD. NO FURTHER DEFECTS NOTED.
WHILE ON THE GROUND, APU SMOKE FILLED CABIN ACCOMPANIED BY BURNING ODOR. R & R APU IAW MM 49-10-01. OPS & LEAK CHECKED GOOD.
LT BRAKE INDICATOR IS TRIPPED. ANTI SKID CAUTION LIGHT ILLUMINATED MOMENTARILY UPON TOUCHDOWN AND AGAIN DURING TAXI. LT BRAKE IS SENSITIVE AND OCCASIONALLY MAKES A GRINDING NOISE. REPLACED LT BRAKE ASSY WITH O/H ASSY BLEED BRAKES, TAXIED ACFT ALL CHECKED GOOD. NO LEAKS NOTED. WORKED DONE IAW MM 32-42-01, AND 32-42-00.
HAD GEAR UNSAFE INDICATION, DUE TO LT MAIN GEAR NOT GETTING A GREEN LIGHT. RAN "BB1" CHECKLIST. BLEW GEAR DOWN, IT DID NOT FIX THE UNSAFE CONDITION. HAD A NORMAL LANDING AND THEN GOT TOWED IN.
GEAR DID NOT RETRACT WHEN GEAR HANDLE WAS SELECTED IN THE UP POSITION. ALL GREEN LIGHT WERE ILLUMINATED WITH NO RED LIGHT. THE GEAR HANDLE WAS TAPPED AND THE GEAR RETRACTED NORMALLY. REMOVED AND REPLACED GEAR CONTROL HANDLE ASSY. PERFORMED GEAR FUNCTIONAL CHECK, CHECKED GOOD. WORK DONE IAW MM 32-30-01.
TAIL ACCESSORY DOOR OPEN PANEL LIGHT CAME ON DURING TAKEOFF. AS WE TAXIED BACK IN IT WAS INTERMITTENT. TROUBLESHOT; FOUND AFT BAGGAGE DOOR SWITCH FAULTY. REMOVED AND REPLACED AFT PIN SWITCH FOR AFT BAGGAGE DOOR. OPS CHECKS GOOD. RESTORED SYSTEM AND AFT BAGGAGE. WORK DONE IAW WIRING MANUAL 33-10-01.
LT MAIN GEAR LIGHT FAILED TO ILLUMINATE CHECKED BULB VIA ROTARY SWITCH. BULB WAS GOOD. PERFORMED EMER GEAR EXTENSION CHECK LIST AND LANDED OK GOT AUDIO GEAR WARNINGS TO TOUCH DOWN. REMOVED AND REPLACED LEFT MAIN LANDING GEAR ACTUATOR. WITH REPAIRED ACTUATOR FROM CESSNA RS CNQR918C. OPERATIONAL AND LEAK CHECK GOOD. WORK DONE PER 560XL MM CH 32-30-04.
AIRCRAFT MADE A SUDDEN YAW TO THE RT AT 105 KTS, ROTATED AT 108 KTS. C/W CHECKS OF FLIGHT CONTROLS, BRAKES AND TIRE PRESSURES. THE RT TIRES WORN TO NEAR LIMITS. NO OTHER DISCREPANCIES NOTED. ALL WORK ACCOMPLISHED IAW MM 5-00-00.
