PILOT REPORTED THAT RT MAIN GEAR WOULD NOT EXTEND DURING APPROACH INTO KSJT. PILOT PERFORMED MANUAL EXTENSION AND DECLARED EMERGENCY. MAINTENANCE TROUBLE SHOT AND FOUND LEFT GEAR DOWN ACTUATOR NEEDED RIGGING. MAINTENANCE RIGGED GEAR PER THE MAINTENANCE MANUAL. LANDING GEAR RETRACTION AND EXTENSION OPERATIONAL CHECKS WERE PERFORMED SEVERAL TIMES THOSE CHECKS WERE GOOD. AIRCRAFT HAS BEEN RETURNED TO SERVICE.
PILOT HAD TO PERFORM AIR RETURN TO KSAT DUE TO LH ENGINE GOING IN TO BYPASS AND WAS STUCK OPEN HALFWAY THROUGH HIS FLIGHT. PILOT DECLARED AN EMERGENCY AND LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT. MAINTENANCE CLEANED P2/T2 SENSOR AND INSPECTED THE SECURITY AND ATTACHMENT OF THE SRL COMPUTER, AND THE SRL INTERFACE AND TEMP LIMITER. FOUND NO DISCREPANCIES WITH ANY OF THESE SYSTEMS. MAINTENANCE PERFORMED GROUND RUN CHECKS AND OPERATIONS WERE GOOD. COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE ISSUE AND AIRCRAFT WAS RETURNED TO SERVICE.
ON CLIMB OUT FROM KRAP WHILE CLIMBING THROUGH 16000 FEET THE CREW NOTICED THAT THE LEFT ENGINE OIL TEMPERATURE INDICATION WAS RISING TO RED LINE. THE TEMPERATURE STOPPED RISING AND WENT BACK DOWN INTO THE GREEN ARC, BUT CONTINUED TO BOUNCE BETWEEN THE GREEN AND YELLOW ARC. CREW LEVELED THE AIRCRAFT OFF AT 190000 FEET AND THE TEMPERATURE CONTINUED WITH THE SAME INDICATIONS. THE TEMPERATURE EVENTUALLY SPIKED PAST RED LINE UNTIL THE GAUGE WAS PEGGED OUT, AT THAT POINT THE CREW DECIDED TO PERFORM A PRECAUTIONARY SHUTDOWN OF THE LEFT ENGINE. THE CREW DECLARED AN EMERGENCY WITH ATC, RETURNED TO KRAP AND LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT. CONTRACT MAINTENANCE FOUND THE LEFT ENGINE OIL TEMPERATURE SENSOR WAS INOPERATIVE. REMOVED AND REPLACED LEFT ENGINE OIL TEMPERATURE SENSOR WITH NEW UNIT; LEAK AND OPERATIONS CHECKS COMPLETED AND FOUND THE LEFT ENGINE OIL TEMPERATURE WAS WITHIN THE PROPER LIMITS. OIL TEMPERATURE SENSOR PART NUMBER: MS28034-3. THIS TEMP SENSOR IS AN âON CONDITIONâ PART, TIME IN SERVICE IS UNKNOWN.
AFTER TAKEOFF FROM PHX TO LAS, THE RIGHT MAIN GEAR DID NOT RETRACT WHEN GEAR UP WAS SELECTED. THE CREW CYCLED THE GEAR SEVERAL TIMES AND THE RIGHT MAIN GEAR RETRACTED. THE AIRCRAFT LANDED WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT. MAINTENANCE REMOVED AND REPLACED THE RIGHT MAIN LANDING GEAR UPLIMIT SWITCH AND RERIGGED THE RIGHT GEAR. MAINTENANCE PERFORMED GEAR SWING AND NO OTHER DEFECTS WERE NOTED. AIRCRAFT WAS RETURNED TO SERVICE. (M)
