PILOT DECLARED AN IN-FLIGHT EMERGENCY COMING INTO KLAN DUE TO HIGH RT ENGINE OIL TEMPERATURE. PILOT SHUT DOWN RH ENGINE IAW QRH. LANDED AIRCRAFT WITHOUT INCIDENT. MAINTENANCE INSPECTED RH ENGINE EXHAUST DUCT AND OIL TEMPERATURE BULB AND FILTER. NO DEFECTS WERE NOTED. TROUBLESHOOT AND FOUND RH FEATHER VALVE WOULD NOT COMPLETELY CLOSE WHEN CONTROL WAS MOVED. READJUSTED STOP AND FEATHER CONTROL AND CONFIRMED IT WAS HITTING THE STOPS AS REQUIRED. RH PROP WILL NOW MOVE BACK FROM FEATHER POSITION. PERFORMED GROUND RUNS FOR 30 MINUTES AT 90%. THE OIL TEMPERATURE STAYED AT 80 DEGREES C. DURING THE ENTIRE RUN. OPERATIONAL CHECKS NORMAL. NO PARTS REQUIRED REPLACEMENT.

ATA 2610

APPROXIMATELY 5 MINUTES AFTER DEPARTURE FROM KLAN, THE RT WING OVHT ANNUNCIATOR ILLUMINATED AS A STEADY INDICATION. THE PILOT PERFORMED THE MEMORY ITEMS, ADVISED ATC OF THE SITUATION, REQUESTED A RETURN TO THE AIRPORT AND BEGAN THE PREPLANNED ENGINE SHUTDOWN CHECKLIST, AS GUIDED BY QRH. AFTER APPROXIMATELY 2 MINUTES THE ANNUNCIATOR EXTINGUISHED AND GIVEN THE ABSENCE OF OTHER ABNORMAL INDICATIONS, THE PILOT ELECTED TO NOT SHUTDOWN THE ENGINE. THE PILOT CONTINUED TO COMPLETE THE NORMAL PROCEDURES UNTIL A NORMAL LANDING SAFELY AT KLAN ON 10R/28L. AIRPORT FIRE EQUIPMENT FOLLOWED THE AIRCRAFT FROM THE RUNWAY TO THE PARKING AREA AND NOTICED NO SIGNS OF A FIRE ON THE AIRCRAFT. LAN MAINTENANCE TROUBLESHOT AND FOUND THE RIGHT WHEEL WELL THERMAL SWITCH WAS DEFECTIVE. REMOVED AND REPLACED RIGHT THERMAL SWITCH, PART NR 17343-61-350F, IAW SA227 MM 26-10-20, SEC D. OPERATIONAL CHECK GOOD, NO OTHER DEFECTS NOTED.

ON CLIMB OUT FROM KSMX THE PILOT REPORTED THAT THE LEFT AND RIGHT HYDRAULIC SYSTEM FAIL WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED, FOLLOWED BY A LOSS OF HYDRAULIC PRESSURE. THE PILOT PERFORMED A MANUAL GEAR EXTENSION RECEIVED THREE GREEN DOWN AND LOCKED INDICATION, DECLARED AN EMERGENCY AND LANDED AT KSBP WITHOUT INCIDENT. MAINTENANCE INSPECTED THE AIRCRAFT AND FOUND THE HYDRAULIC ACCUMULATOR SEPARATED CAUSING THE LOSS OF HYDRAULIC PRESSURE. REMOVED AND REPLACED THE ACCUMULATOR, SERVICED THE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM WITH FLUID. GROUND RUNS COMPLETED AND FOUND SATISFACTORY.

DISCREPANCY: THE PILOT REPORTED EN ROUTE FROM KHRI TO KPDX OF A BURNING SMELL AND VISIBLE SMOKE IN THE CABIN. WARM AIR BEGAN BLOWING OUT OF THE COLD AIR VENTS. SMOKE SEEMED TO DISSIPATE WITH ONLY THE BLEED ON. CORRECTIVE ACTION: MAINTENANCE INSPECTED BLEED AIR SYSTEM FROM BOTH ENGINES INCLUDING ACM INTAKE, DUCTING AND VENTS. NO DEFECTS NOTED. MAINTENANCE RAN BOTH ENGINES WITH BLEEDS ON. AN ODOR WAS PRESENT BUT DISSIPATED QUICKLY. AFTER RUNNING BOTH ENGINES FOR 20 MINUTES AT HIGH POWER, THEY WERE UNABLE TO DUPLICATE. THE AIRCRAFT WAS RETURNED TO SERVICE AND NO SUBSEQUENT ISSUE HAS BEEN REPORTED.

THE PILOT WAS ON TAKEOFF FROM KHRI AND HEARD A LOUD NOISE AFTER ROTATION. THE PILOT LEFT THE LANDING GEAR IN THE EXTENDED POSITION AND COULD PHYSICALLY SEE FROM THE COCKPIT THAT THE LEFT BRAKE LINE WAS DISCONNECTED FROM THE GEAR. THE PILOT ELECTED TO CONTINUE THE FLIGHT TO KPDX WITH THE GEAR EXTENDED AND VERIFIED THAT THE LEFT BRAKE HAD NO BRAKING PRESSURE. THE PILOT THEN CONTACTED ATC AND DECLARED AN EMERGENCY AND LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT IN KPDX. MAINTENANCE CORRECTIVE ACTION: MAINTENANCE INSPECTED THE AIRCRAFT AND DISCOVERED THE LEFT NUMBER TWO MAIN WHEEL TIRE TREAD HAD SEPARATED. THIS SEPARATION CAUSED MINOR SURFACE DAMAGE TO THE LOWER FLAP AND THE LEFT BRAKE LINE TO BE PULLED FORM ITS CONNECTION. MAINTENANCE REMOVED AND REPLACED THE NUMBER TWO WHEEL TIRE ASSEMBLY WITH A SERVICEABLE UNIT. P\N 3-1357-1 SERIAL 4291. MAINTENANCE ALSO REMOVED AND REPLACED THE LEFT BRAKE SUPPLY HOSE WITH NEW. P\N SS1000F000K604Y THEN MAINTENANCE PERFORMED A SURFACE PATCH REPAIR ON THE UNDERSIDE OF THE LEFT FLAP AND THE AIRCRAFT WAS RETURNED TO SERVICE.
