AFTER LOWERING THE GEAR FOR LANDING, WE GOT A GEAR DISAGREE RIGHT ANNUNCIATOR ON THE RIGHT GEAR ,WE ABORTED THE APPROACH AND CLIMBED TO A SAFE ALTITUDE..WE DID THE GEAR DISAGREE R AND THEN LOOKED AT TABN1... WE ELECTED TO RECYCLE THE GEAR UP THEN DOWN WITHOUT BLOWING THE GEAR DOWN, WE THEN GOT A NORMAL ALL THREE GREEN GEAR LIGHTS AND LANDED CHECKED UPLOCK SWITCH WIRING AND FOUND CONNECTIONS TO BE CLEAN, NO RECESSED PINS AND CONTINUITY CHKS GOOD. STOWED GEAR IN UP POSITION FOR SEVERAL HOURS WHILE OCCASIONALLY SPRAYING SWITCH WITH FREEZE SPRAY. WHEN GEAR WAS LOWERED NO FAULT FOUND. WATCHED LIVE DATA ON CMC WHILE ACTUATING THE PLUNGER SWITCH AND FOUND RH UPLOCK SWITCH TO HAVE MULTIPLE CLICKS WHEN ACTUATING WHEREAS LH UPLOCK SWITCH AND OTHER AIRCRAFT ONLY HAVE ONE CLICK. THE MORE THE SWITCH IS ACTUATED THE SMOOTHER IT BECOMES. REPLACE RH UPLOCK SWITCH P/N: 65-430087. REFER TO SQUAWK 5.38 FOR REPLACEMENT OF RH UPLOCK SWITCH. REMOVED FAULTY RH MLG UPLOCK H/A P/N: 6948101-3 AND INSTALLED NEW RH MLG UPLOCK H/A P/N: 6948101-3 IAW MM 32-32-25. ADJUSTED RH MLG UPLOCK SWITCH IAW MM 32-32-00. PERFORMED LANDING GEAR OPS CHECK IAW MM 32-00-00. OPS CHECK GOOD.

OPS AND FUNCTIONAL CHECKS GOOD WITH NO DEFECTS NOTED.
COLD DARK COCKPIT, PLACING EMER LTS SWITCH TO ARM, AND NONE OF THE REQUIRED LIGHTS COME ON. UNABLE TO DUPLICATE DISCREPANCY. PERFORMED EMERGENCY LIGHTING OPERATIONAL CHECK I.A.W. CESSNA 680A AMM 33-50-00. NO DEFECTS NOTED.
EMERGENCY LIGHTING: ENTIRE EMER LTS SYSTEM INOP. C/W TC-FLT-33-1001 TO RECHARGE EMERGENCY BATTERIES. IAW C680A AMM 33-50-00. OPS CHECK GOOD.
AFTER PLACING MLG DOWN, RECEIVED WOW CAS. FOLLOWED BY MLG DISAGREE L R N CAS MESSAGE. DID A GO AROUND, CAS MESSAGES STAYED. MLG STAYED DOWN WITH GEAR HANDLE UP. DID WOW MISCOMPARE CAS QRH . ACCOMOMISHED MLG DISAGREE, CAS MESSAGE , DID NOT RUN AN EMER MLG EXTENSION CHKLT. UNTIL 10 MINS LATER, DID MLG PROCEED TO COME UP, & CLEARED THE CAS MESSAGES. LANDED AGAIN HAD WOW CAS BUT MLG SHOWED 3 GREEN. LANDED, WOW OUT. TROUBLESHOT TO FAULTY NLG HARNESS. REMOVED & INSTALLED A NEW HARNESS IAW MM 32-20-00. PERFORMED MLG OPS CHK IAW MM 32-00-00 NO DEFECTS. NLG HARNESS CHKS GOOD. OPS CHECK OF TAXI LIGHTS IAW MM 33-40-00, NO DEFECTS. PERFORMED POWER STEERING C U OPS CHECK IAW MM 32-50-00. OPS CHECKED GOOD.
LEFT MLG BRAKE: HYDRAULIC LEAK LEFT MAIN BRAKE. IN FLIGHT ON APPROACH TO CLT , AFTER GEAR WAS SELECTED DOWN, HYD VOLUME LOW CAS APPEARED. FOLLOWED THE CHECKLIST, RETURNED TO LAND. ON LANDING USED THE EMER BRAKE. THE FBO TOWED US TO PARKING. /// CORRECTIVE ACTION /// REPLACED LH INBOARD BRAKE WITH AN OVERHAULED BRAKE ASSEMBLY. WORK PERFORMED IAW 680A MM 32-42-05. BLED BRACKES AND VERIFIED LEAK CHECK IS GOOD.
CABIN DOOR OPEN AMBER CAS: CABIN DOOR OPEN AMBER CAS REMAINS ILLUMINATED AFTER DOOR IS CLOSED. COMPLETES CABIN DOOR OPEN QRH. DURING STEP 4 CHECK HANDLE/PUSH TO OVERRIDE LIGHTS DID NOT FLASH. POWERED AIRCRAFT DOWN AND CAS STILL REMAINED ILLUMINATED WHEN CABIN DOOR WAS CLOSED. "CORRECTIVE ACTION" REMOVED CED MONITOR PCB ASSY P/N 7466101-17 S/N 0462 AND INSTALLED NEW CED MONITOR PCB ASSY P/N 7468101-14 S/N 0386 IAW CE-680A AMM 24-60-40 AND IPC 24-60-40,
AFTER TAKEOFF CLIMBING THROUGH 10000' WE SHUT DOWN THE APU AND IMMEDIATELY SMELLED A VERY STRONG ODOR OF BURNING OIL OR SOME OTHER CHEMICAL. THE APU RAN FOR ABOUT 45 MINUTES PRIOR WITHOUT ANY ODOR. REMOVED & REPLACED LT & RT OZONE CONVERTERS IAW MM 27-71-00. OPS & LEAK CHK GOOD.
DURING PRE DEPARTURE CHECKS AND JUST PRIOR TO STARTING ENGINES, HARMONIC SOUND WAS COMING FROM APU. (WINDY COOL DAY AT KSFO). WHILE COMPLETING BEFORE 'ENGINE START CHECK' APU ABRUPTLY/INSTANTANEOUSLY SHUT DOWN. RPM WENT INSTANTLY TO 05 RPM NO EXCEEDANCE OR OTHER LIMITATIONS NOTED APU SHUT DOWN ACCOMPANIED BY LIGHT SMOKE FROM TAIL PIPE ONLY NO CABIN SMOKE NOTED THROUGHOUT ALL APU OPS TO THIS POINT OF PRE-DEPARTURE WERE NORMAL. FIRE TRUCK CALLED TO STANDBY AS PRECAUTION. REMOVED & REPLACED APU ASSEMBLY IAW MM 49-10-00.
WHILE RUNNING APU WITH THE BLEED AIR OFF, DURING HEAVY RAIN THE CABIN FILLED WITH SMOKE WITH THE ODOR OF OIL. FOUND THE COALESCER SOCK DIRTY. REMOVED AND REPLACED THE COALESCER SOCK.
ON TAXI OUT, THE BRAKE PEDALS TRAVEL APPROXIMATELY 3 QUARTERS OF THE WAY BEFORE THE BRAKES CATCH. AFTER PUMPING THE BRAKES THE BRAKES WILL CATCH APPROXIMATELY 1 QUARTER OF THE WAY THROUGH THE TRAVEL THEN BLEED BACK DOWN TO NOT CATCHING UNTIL 3 QUARTERS OF THE WAY TRAVEL ON THE BRAKE PEDAL. BLED LT AND RT BRAKES IAW MM 32-42-00. TAXI CHECK GOOD. INSTALLED BLEED PORT PANEL.
DURING A SCHEDULED INSPECTION WE FOUND STRINGER 15L, CRACKED IN THE TAIL CONE SECTION OF THE ACFT. THE CRACK WAS AT THE AFT EDGE OF THE STRINGER WHERE THE BULB PORTION OF THE EXTRUDED STRINGER STOPS & THE STRINGER IS TAPER CUT BEFORE TERMINATING. A REPORT HAS BEEN SENT TO MFG UNDER SCR 748803.
THE AP PITCH MISTRIM ILLUMINATED AT FL410. AFTER THE AUTO PILOT WAS DISENGAGED, DISCOVERED THE ELEVATOR PITCH TRIM WAS JAMMED AND COULD NOT BE MOVED ELECTRICALLY OR MANUALLY IN THE NOSE UP DIRECTION BUT COULD SLIGHTLY BE TRIMMED MANUALLY BUT NOT ELECTRICALLY IN THE NOSE DOWN DIRECTION. DURING THE DESCENT WE HAD MORE TRIM AVAILABLE TO US BUT WAS STILL LIMITED. AFTER LANDING THE ELEVATOR TRIM APPEARED TO OPERATE NORMALLY. R & R LT AND RT ELEVATOR TRIM TAB ACTUATOR IAW MM 27-31-01. OPS CHECK GOOD.
AFTER TAKEOFF AND GEAR RETRACTION, RED, GEAR UNLOCK LIGHT REMAINED ILLUMINATED. FOUND NOSE UPLOCK CATCH ROD BRACKETS BENT. REMOVED OLD BRACKETS AND INSTALLED NEW BRACKETS REF MM 32-20-01. OPS CHECKED GOOD.
AFTER TAKEOFF AND GEAR RETRACTION RED GEAR UNLOCK LIGHT REMAINED ILLUMINATED. JACKED AIRCRAFT. WITH PORTABLE MULE, UNABLE TO DUPLICATE DISCREPENCY. OPS AND RIG CHECK GOOD OF UPLOCK SWITCHES. CHECKED GEAR RELEASE CABLE TENSION, RIG GEAR UPLOCK HOOK/ROLLER ENGAGEMENT, CHECKED GOOD. FOUND PLAY IN LT MLG DOOR IN RETRACTED POSITION. ADJUSTED ROD END ON DOOR SIDE ON TURN IN. OPS AND CLEARANCE CHECK GOOD. WORKED REF MM 32-10-00.
DURING A PHASE 1-4 INSPECTION FOUND A CRACKED ECU SUPPORT BRACKET. THE CRACK STARTED AT THE EDGE OF THE BRACKET AND EXTENDED 2.25 INCH. AND WAS ALMOST TO A RIVET THAT SECURES THE OTHER PART OF THE BRACKET ASSY. AN SCR AND PHOTO HAS BEEN SUBMITTED TO MFG UNDER NR 354883.
LT ENGINE QUIT SHORTLY AFTER TAKEOFF. FIRST NOTICED EEC MANUAL ANNUNCIATOR, FOLLOWED BY (DASHES) ON LT FUEL FLOW INDICATOR. ENG WAS ROTATING FREELY & LT BOOST PUMP CAME ON AUTOMATICALLY. R & R NR 1 ENG WITH REPAIRED UNIT IAW MM 71-00-03. OPS & LEAK CHECKED GOOD. CUSTOMER REPORTED FLAMEOUT IN FLIGHT. REMOVED ENGINE FUEL FILTER, CONTAMINATION NOTED. R & R FUEL OIL HEAT EXCHANGER, FUEL FLOW TRANSMITTER, FCU, FLOW DIVIDER, & FUEL FILTER. ALL ENGINE FUEL LINES FLUSHED & CLEARED. ENG REASSEMBLED USING ALL NEW PACKINGS. ALL WORK PERFORMED IAW MM PN 30J1272, REV 28 DATED OCT 19, 2007. ENGINE IS APPROVED FOR RETURN TO SERVICE FOLLOWING A SATISFACTORY DOCUMENTED GROUND PERFORMANCE RUN & LEAK CHECKS.
GROUND CONTROLLERS REPORTED SMOKE FROM RT SIDE OF AIRPLANE. UPON APU SHUTDOWN, SMOKE WAS OBSERVED COMING FROM APU INTAKE AND EXHAUST. BOTH RED AND YELLOW APU OIL LIGHTS ILLUMINATED. APU OIL LEVEL WAS VERIFIED NORMAL PRIOR TO THIS EVENT. [07-09-07] REMOVED AND REPLACED APU IAW 560XL MM 49-10-00.
AFTER SELECTING GEAR DOWN RIGHT ANNUNICATOR FAILED TO ILLUMINATE. COMPLIED WITH LANDING GEAR WILL NOT EXTEND CHECKLIST. LOW HYD FLOW RT ANNUNICATOR THEN CAME ON. ON POST FLIGHT NOTICED HYD FLUID LEAKING AND RESERVOIR TO THE OVERFULL. (M-2B) PERFORMED ANNUNC ROTARY TEST AND FOUND RT GEAR ANNUNCIATOR INOP. REMOVED AND REPLACED 2 BULBS. OPS CHECK GOOD. ALL GEAR LIGHTS PROPERLY LIT WITH GEAR DOWN AND LOCKED. SERVICED PNEUMATIC BLOWDOWN BOTTLE TO 1800 PSI IAW TEMP RANGE. SAFETIED WITH BREAK AWAY WIRE. FOUND HYD TO BE OVERFULL DUE TO BOTTLE BEING BLOWN. UNABLE TO PERFORM GEAR SWINGS AT THIS TIME. AIRCRAFT WILL BE FLOWN IAW SPECIAL FERRY FLIGHT TO PERFORM GEAR SWINGS. AIRCRAFT FOUND TO BE SAFE FOR INTENDED F
ON CAPTAIN`S SIDE, RIGHT BRAKE FADES WHEN PRESSURE APPLIED DURING TAXI OR TURNING. BLED BRAKE SYSTEM PER CE560XL MM 32-42-00. TAXI CHECK WAS GOOD.
RIGHT BRAKE PEDAL LOOSES PRESSURE DURING BRAKING. BLED LT & RT BRAKE SYSTEM & PERFORMED SYSTEM PRESSURE CHECKS IAW CHAPT 32-43-00 CESSNA 560XL MM. ALL CHECKS GOOD. OPERATED SYSTEM NUMEROUS TIMES AND DID NOT EXPERIENCE PRESSURE LOSS. SERVICE LEVELS GOOD.
ON TAKEOFF ROLL THE LEFT ITT IND FAILED MESSAGE CAME ON, ABORTED TAKEOFF. VERIFIED INDICATOR FAILED. REMOVED FAILED INDICATOR AND REPLACED WITH AN INSPECTED INDICATOR. OPS CHECKED GOOD DURING LEFT/RIGHT ENGINE RUNS, ALL INDICATIONS NORMAL IAW THE CESSNA 560XL MM CHAPTER 77-40-00.
