TROUBLESHOT FOUND THAT WITH DECK REFERENCE LINE REMOVED FROM PUMP AND BOOST PUMP ON FUEL STREAMED FROM PUMP AT DECK REFERENCE FITTING. PART OF AD 91-08-07 ADDRESSED THIS PROBLEM. RECOMMEND A LEAK CHECK ON THESE PUMPS AT 100 HOUR INSPECTION.

INSPECTION REVEALED A HOLE IN NR 1 CYLINDER UNDER THE INTAKE PUSH ROD HOUSING. THE HOLE ALLOWED EXHAUST GASES TO BURN A HOLE IN THE PUSH ROD HOUSING ALLOWING OIL LEAKAGE, AND THE PUSH ROD TO BREAK. SUBMITTER SUGGESTED PROBLEM MAY HAVE BEEN DUE TO A POOR WELD.
