ON TAXI OUT, AMBER MSG "CABIN DOOR OPEN" DISPLAYED. DID CABIN DOOR OPEN PROCEDURE WITH NO LUCK. POWERED DOWN AND TRIED AGAIN WITH NO LUCK. REMOVED THE UPPER STEP & FWD TRIM TO MAIN ENTRANCE DOOR FOUND TEE INNER DOOR HANDLE STOP BOLT HAD BACKED OUT DUE TO THE SAFETY CABLE BEING LOOSE. THIS WAS TRIED AGAIN WITH NO LUCK CAUSING THE PAWL FOR THE DOOR LOCK SOLENOID TO COME IN CONTACT WITH THE INNER. DOOR HANDLE AND NOT SEATING FULLY. ADJUSTED INNER DOOR HANDLE STOP BOLT AND SAFETIED HARDWARE IAW AMM 52-70-15 AND 52-10-16. PERFORMED SUCCESSFUL OPS CHECK OF THE CABIN DOOR REF. CE-680A AMM 52-10-00 INSTALLED ALL PANELS AND UPPER STEP IAW AMM 52-10-00.

FOUNDS PLATING MISSING ON THE NOSE WHEEL AXLE TUBE DURING NOSE WHEEL R&R. REPLACED AXLE TUBE WITH NEW ONE P/N 7142022-21.
LOWER CLIP ON VERTICAL STABILIZER HAS 2 SMOKED HI-LOCKS ON OTBD EDGES ON FWD SIDE. FOUND A CRACK PROTRUDING FROM THE LT OTBD LOWER PIVOT FITTING FLANGE TRAVELING UP & OTBD APPROX .5" FOUND 2 CRACKS TRAVELING FROM THE RT OTBD HOLE, ONE TRAVELING UP & OTBD APPROX .5" AND 1 TRAVELING OTBD APPROXIMATELY .5".
LOW HYD LEVEL LIGHT CAME ON SHORTLY AFTER TAKEOFF. RAISED THE GEAR & THEN THE FLAPS. THE LIGHT CAME ON IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE FLAPS WERE RAISED. THERE WERE NO OTHER INDICATIONS. WENT TO THE ABBREVIATED CHECKLIST WHICH STATED IN PART TO LAND AS SOON AS PRACTICAL. EXTENDED THE FLAPS TO 15 WITHOUT INCIDENT, THEN EXTENDED THE GEAR NORMALLY & GOT THREE GREEN LIGHTS & NO RED. LOWERED THE FLAPS TO 35 WITHOUT INCIDENT. HAD AN EXTENDED FINAL & LIGHT WENT OUT. LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT. AFTER SHUTDOWN, INSPECTED THE HYD RESERVOIR & FOUND THE HYD LEVEL INDICATOR ABOUT TWO THIRDS OF THE WAY FROM THE EMPTY LINE TO THE REFILL LINE. PERFORMED ENGINE RUNS AND OPERATED HYDRAULIC SYSTEMS. FOUND THE LT SPEED BRAKE EXTEND LINE IN THE WING ROOT AFT FAIRING TO BE CHAFED. REMOVED & REPLACED LINE. LEAK CHECKED SYSTEM AND SERVICED HYDRAULIC RESERVOIR. OPS CHECKED GOOD IAW MM 29-11-00 AND 12-12-01.
DURING APPROACH, SELECTED GEAR DOWN. MAIN GEAR EXTENDED NORMAL BUT THE NOSE GEAR DID NOT EXTEND. WHILE RUNNING THE LANDING GEAR WILL NOT EXTEND CHECKLIST, NOTICED WHEN TEE HANDLE IS PULLED, THERE WAS NO RESISTANCE. FELT NOTHING WHEN PULLED DOUGHNUT TO BLOW THE GEAR DOWN. DID A LOW PASS & TOWER CONFIRMED THE NOSE GEAR WAS NOT DOWN. WENT AROUND & REPEATED THE CHECKLIST ITEMS AGAIN WITH NO CHANGE. DECLARED AN EMERGENCY AND LANDED ON THE MAINS AS THE AIRPLANE DECELERATED APPROX 4000 FT DOWN THE RUNWAY THE NOSE GEAR CAME OUT WITH A GREEN DOWN & LOCKED INDICATION. EMERGENCY GEAR BLOW DOWN BOTTLE STILL HAS 1600 PSI. FOUND SKIN AROUND RIGHT NOSE GEAR AREA BENT. CUT OUT AREA THAT WAS BENT, CLEANED AND PREPPED AREA. COMPLIED WITH EDDY-CURRENT INSPECTION OF CUT OUT AREA. REPAIRED AREA AND PAINTED. COMPLIED WITH LANDING GEAR FUNCTIONAL CHECK. ALL CHECKS NORMAL. WORK LAW THE MM 32-01-00 AND SRM 53-11-05 IAW ENGINEERING LETTER M140610AJ. MAJOR REPAIR.
ON TAXI OUT RECEIVED FLASHING LOW BRAKE PRESSURE & ANTI SKID INOPERATIVE ANNUNCIATORS. ABOUT 20 SECONDS LATER, LOST NORMAL BRAKES, BRAKE PEDALS LOST PRESSURE & WENT TO THE FLOOR. HAD TO USE EMERGENCY BRAKE SYS TO STOP ACFT. SHUT DOWN ACFT & HAD TO BE TOWED BACK TO RAMP. TESTED POWER BRAKES SYS & FOUND BRAKE MOTOR RUNS INTERMITTENTLY. TESTED 28V ON SKID CONTROL RELAY & FOUND THE RELAY IS ENGAGED, 28V INPUT ON A1 IS PRESENT, BUT THE MOTOR FAILS VOLTAGE OUTPUT OF 15V. DISCONNECTED THE BRAKE MOTOR & CONNECTED A 28V LOAD TO THE KN003 SKID CONTROL RELAY & FOUND THE VOLTAGE PRESENT ACROSS THE RELAY IS REDUCED TO 15V UNTIL THE RELAY IS TAPPED ON. FLUSHED RT & LT EMERGENCY BRAKE LINES. BLED ANTI SKID BRAKE SYS IAW MM 32-42-00. VERIFIED FLUSH & BRAKE BLEED. REMOVED FAILED RELAY KN003 & REPLACED WITH NEW. OPS CHECKED GOOD. WORK DONE IAW MM 32-42-00.
UPON SHUTDOWN OF THE APU WE NOTICED A STRONG ODOR WHICH SMELLED LIKE ELEC WIRES BURNING AS WE WALKED TOWARDS THE LAVATORY, OPENED THE ACCESSORY DOOR TO THE APU & NOTICED A VERY STRONG ELEC SMOKE ODOR. DISCONNECT THE BATTERY, INSPECTED AFT J BOX AREA & FOUND RELAY KZ001 BURNED. R & R RELAY IAW CE-560XL MM 24-50-03. FOUND TRANSFORMER DZ007 WAS BURNED OUT ALONG WITH SEVERAL COMPANION WIRES. JUNCTION BOX WAS REMOVED, INTERNAL DAMAGE R & R INSTALLED CE-560XL MM 24-50-03, WO 295092. SYS OPERATIONS CHECKED GOOD.
WHILE PERFORMING MX, FOUND SURFACE CORROSION ON FUEL PANEL 510DB DOUBLER.
DURING TAXI WHILE APPLYING EVEN BRAKE PRESSURE TO SLOW ACFT, RT BRAKE SUDDENLY BROKE FREE(STOPPING PRESSURE ON THE BRAKES RELEASED) CAUSING THE ACFT TO SWERVE ABRUPTLY TO THE LEFT. LEFT PILOT WAS OPERATING CONTROLS. RIGHT PILOT DID NOT APPLY HIS BRAKES. RIGHT BRAKE PEDAL DID NOT DEPRESS TO FLOOR. EMERGENCY BRAKE LEVER WAS NOT USED. CONTROL OF THE ACFT WAS REGAINED THROUGH RUDDER CONTROL, RELEASING AND REAPPLYING EVEN BRAKE PRESSURE. CHANGED ANTI-SKID CONTROLLER AND RT WHEEL TRANSDUCER. SYSTEM OPS CHECKED GOOD. BRAKE SYS BLED AND ANTI-SKID FUNCTION CHECKED GOOD. WORK ACCOMPLISHED IAW MM 32-42-00 AND 32-42-08.
RIGHT BRAKE FAILED DURING TAXI. RIGHT COCKPIT BRAKE PEDAL FAILED TO MAINTAIN BRAKE PRESSURE TO RT MAIN WHEEL BRAKE. LT PILOT TOOK CONTROL OF THE ACFT AND BRAKING ACTION APPEARED TO BE SOMEWHAT NORMAL FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE TAXI. RT BRAKE DID SEEM SOFTER THAN THE LT. FLUID LEVELS WERE NORMAL ON POST FLIGHT. R & R CO-PILOTS RT MASTER CYLINDER. TORQUED AND SAFETIED, BLED BRAKES. OPS AND LEAK CHECKS GOOD. DONE IAW MM 32-42-02 AND 32-42-00.

REMOVED LT MLG ACTUATOR, REMOVED SEIZED UPPER BOLT FROM LT MLG ACTUATOR WORK DONE IAW MM CH 32-30-04. ATTACH BUSHING CORRODED. OK TO INSTALL MLG ACTUATOR CUSTOMER SUPPLIED. ACCOMPLISHED A SATISFACTORY 5 POINT GROUND PERFORMANCE RUN AND LEAK CHECK IAW MM PN 30J12732R35..
DURING DESCENT, ENCOUNTERED VERY STRONG INTERMITTENT ODOR ON THE FLIGHT DECK. DURING POSTFLIGHT CHECK WITH THE BATTERY MASTER ON, ODOR REAPPEARED. COULD NOT DUPLICATE OF INSPECTION.
DURING CLIMB WITH THE GEAR UP, THE GREEN NOSE GEAR DOWN LIGHT CAME ON WITH NO RED GEAR UNSAFE LIGHT. PUT THE GEAR HANDLE DOWN WITH THE ABNORMAL CHECKLIST, THE NOSE GEAR LIGHT WENT OUT FOR A SECOND AND CAME BACK ON. BLEW THE GEAR DOWN WITH THE BOTTLE AS PART OF THE CHECKLIST. REMOVED ACTUATOR AND INSTALLED AN INSPECTED UNIT IAW MM 32-30-03 AND 32-20-00. OPS & LEAK CHECKED GOOD.
WITH APU ON AND BLEED AIR ON, COCKPIT AND CABIN FILLED WITH THICK, PUNGENT AND ACRID SMOKE. TROUBLESHOT TO OIL LEVEL TO HIGH, ADJUSTED OIL LEVEL TO CORRECT LEVEL IAW MM 12-11-03. CLEANED WATER SEPERATOR CONDENSER IAW MM 12-19-02. OPS AND LEAK CHECKED GOOD.
AFTER TOUCHDOWN BRAKES FELT SPONGY AND THEN BECAME EXCESSIVELY GRABBY WHEN SLOWING. CONDUCTED BRAKE BLEED PROCEDURE AND TAXI CHECK. BRAKES FUNCTION NORMAL AT THIS TIME IAW MM 32-42-00.
PASSING THROUGH 18,000' AND AN AIRSPEED OF APPOX 260KTS, FELT A SUDDEN JOLT FOLLOWED BY MEDIUM TO HIGH FREQUENCY VIBRATIONS IN THE FUSELAGE AND FLIGHT CONTROLS. AIRPLANE ALSO SEEMED TO WANT TO PITCH NOSE DOWN. LEVELED OFF AND DISENGAGED THE AUTOPILOT AND THE VIBRATION CONTINUED UNTIL WE REDUCED THE AIRSPEED BELOW 200 KTS. CONNECTED GROUND HYD CART AND OPERATED T/R'S MULTIPLE TIMES WITH NO DEFECTS, RT TR OPERATION PRODUCED SOME NOISE, MANUALLY CYCLED TR'S BY HAND AND FOUND SOME BINDING DUE TO LACK OF LUBRICATION, LUBED TR HINGE POINTS WITH INC 393, CLEANED "PARTS" GOOD LUBED WITH SILICONE IAW CMM 78-30-01. LUBRICATED LT T/R ALL IAW CMM 78-30-01. OPS CHECK GOOD.
SMOKE FROM CABIN LIGHTS IN BETWEEN SEATS 4 AND 6 AFTER ABOUT 40 MINUTES OF USE. SMOKE AND ELECTRICAL ODOR DISSIPATED WHEN CABIN LIGHT SWITCH TURNED OFF. R & R BURNED BULB & BULB CLIP WITH NEW BULB & CLIP. LIGHT OPERATES NORMAL AT THIS TIME IAW MM 33-20-01.
ON TAKEOFF ROLL JUST PRIOR TO 70 KTS, NO TAKEOFF ANNUNCIATOR, WARNING HORN, AND MASTER CAUTION. EVERYTHING AS FAR AS FLAPS, SPEED BRAKES & TRIM WAS IN CORRECT POSITION FOR TAKEOFF. AFTER SHUTTING DOOR, RESTARTED ACFT & CHECKED TO MAKE SURE ANNUNCIATOR LIGHT, HORN & MASTER CAUTION WENT OUT. THEN WE PUT FLAPS UP PAST 15 DEGREES, EXTENDED SPEED BRAKE & PUT TRIM OUT OF POSITION & PUT POWER TO TAKEOFF. NO TAKEOFF ANNUNCIATOR, BUT NO HORN & NO MASTER CAUTION. R&R RT SWITCH BANK (THROTTLE) AND RIGGED IAW MM 76-11-00. OPS CHECK GOOD. REPLACED NO TAKE PCB IAW MM 24-51-02. OPS CHECK GOOD.
NOXIOUS FUMES ENTER COCKPIT WHEN COCKPIT TEMPERATURE CONTROL IS RAISED TO HEAT COCKPIT. REMOVED & CLEANED WATER SEPARATOR. REINSTALLED WATER SEPARATOR IAW CESSNA 560XL MM CH 12-19-02. OPS & LEAK CHECK GOOD
DURING TAKEOFF THERE WAS A LARGE THROTTLE SPLIT AND TOOL, A LOT OF RT RUDDER TO MAINTAIN DIRECTIONAL CONTROL. RESET FAULT, DISCONNECTED, CLEANED AND INSPECTED, RECONNECTED WIRING HARNESS IAW MM 73-20-02. PERFORMED ENGINE GROUND RUN. NO DEFECTS NOTED.
AFTER TAKEOFF LANDING GEAR WOULD NOT RETRACT. WITH LDG GEAR HANDLE UP STILL HAD (3) GREEN INDICATION. CYCLED GEAR HANDLE DOWN AND BACK UP WITH SAME INDICATION. SELECTED LANDING GEAR HANDLE DOWN AND PERFORMED (MANUAL GEAR EXTENSION) IAW CHECKLIST. REMOVED AND REPLACED LANDING GEAR CONTROL UNIT IAW MM 32-30-01. OPS CHECK GOOD.
15 MIN PRIOR WITH APU RUNNING AT HPN (NJA FACILITY) OUR A/C WAS TAIL TO TAIL WITH A COMPANY ULTRA. THE ULTRA STARTED IT'S ENGINES AND RAN FOR 10 TO 15 MINS BLOWING ITS FUMES INTO OUR TAIL. AT FL 380, SELECTED A WARMER TEMP AND IMMEDIATELY HAD JET EXHAUST FUMES IN THE COCKPIT AND CABIN. ENOUGH THAT THE PAX COMPLAINED OF FUMES. DON O2 MASK. DIVERTED TO TOL. THE ODOR DISSAPATED AFTER THE A/C WAS SHUT DOWN. LEAK CHECKED APU /RUNNING LEAK CHECK GOOD AT 85 PERCENT N2 AND CABIN FULL HOT LEAK CHECK L/R ENGINES, LEAK CHECK GOOD. NO FUMES NOTED IN CABIN OR COCKPIT DURING RUN. WORK IAW 560 XL CHAPTERS 21-22-00 AND 71-00-04.
LT RUDDER PEDAL WILL NOT MOVE RUDDER. RT RUDDER PEDAL WILL MOVE RUDDER. LT RUDDER PEDAL MOVES FREELY WITH NO RESISTANCE. ALSO NOTED RUDDER CABLE BOWS BEHIND PEDAL AND FIREWALL. FOUND RUDDER CONTROL CABLE ASSY (UPPER) BROKEN AT 9 O' CLOCK POSITION. REPLACED RUDDER CONTROL CABLE ASSY AND CHECKED RIG, CABLE TENSIONS IAW CE560XL MM CH 27-20-00.

RESET GEAR BOTTLE, BLED HYDRAULIC SYSTEM AND OPERATED ALL HYDRAULIC SYSTEMS, OPERATIONAL CHECK GOOD. WORK PERFORMED IAW CHAPTER 32-01-00, 12-12-01, AND 12-13-01 OF THE CITATION 560XL MM.
PERFORMED AILERON WING CABLE INSPECTION PER CESSNA ASL560XL-27-12, FOUND CABLES CHAFED/BROKEN BEYOND MANUFACTURER'S LIMITS. REMOVED AND REPLACED LEFT AND RIGHT WING AILERON CABLES IAW CESSNA 560XL MM CHAPTER 27-10-03.
