COLLAR WORK LOOSE OR BREAKS. THIS LETS TIRE ROTATE AND GROUND CONTROL OF AIRCRAFT IS LOST. SUBMITTER STATED THIS PROBLEM IS THE THIRD IN 3 YEARS. ONE SUCH BREAK CAUSED DAMAGE TO AIRCRAFT. WHEN IT WENT OUT OF CONTROL ON LANDING ROLL-OUT.

JAM NUT HOLDING YOKE TO PEDAL BACKED OFF LETTING SHAFT ROTATE AND COME APART. WHEN ROD END (YOKE) CAME OFF OF BRAKE ACTUATOR, BRAKING ACTION WAS LOST ON LEFT BRAKE. PILOT WAS ABLE TO PARK AIRCRAFT USING STEERING AND LOWER POWER FOR TAXI. RETURN SPRING, YOKE, AND JAM NUT WERE RE-INSTALLED AND AIRCRAFT RETURNED TO SERVICE.

AFTER ONLY 20 HOURS OF TIME, ALTERNATOR BEARING FOUND FAILED WITH BELT TENSION OK. ALTERNATOR ALSO HAS HIGH RESISTANCE. UNIT OVERHAULED BY PRECISION ELECTRONICS, INC.
