THE AIRCRAFT WAS PARKED OUTSIDE THE HANGAR AND UNOCCUPIED. WHILE OPENING THE BIFOLD HANGAR DOOR, THE DOOR CONTACTED THE TIP OF THE HORIZONTAL STABILIZER. THE AIRCRAFT HAD BEEN POSITIONED CLEAR OF THE PAINTED CLEARANCE LINE AT THE TIME OF THE EVENT. THE TECHNICIAN IMMEDIATELY STOPPED DOOR MOVEMENT UPON OBSERVING THE CONTACT. DAMAGE TO THE HORIZONTAL STABILIZER TIP AND ADJACENT SKIN WAS IDENTIFIED. THE AIRCRAFT HAS BEEN REMOVED FROM SERVICE AND IS CURRENTLY UNDERGOING REPAIR COORDINATION WITH BOMBARDIER ENGINEERING.
