SHORTLY AFTER TAKE, THE GEAR WOULD NOT RETRACT. PILOT WAS ABOUT TO AIR RETURN BACK TO CVG BUT THE GEAR FINALLY CAME UP. PILOT DIVERTED TO ALB INSTEAD OF ORIGINAL DESTINATION. ON APPROACH THE GEAR WOULD NOT EXTEND. PILOT PUMPED THE GEAR DOWN, DECLARED AN EMERGENCY, GOT A VISUAL FROM THE TOWER THAT THE GEAR WAS DOWN, AND LANDED WITH NO INCIDENT.
ON APPROACH INTO ALB THERE WAS NO GEAR DOWN INDICATION. PILOT CYCLED THE GEAR AGAIN, BUT IT DID NOT HELP. PILOT MANUALLY EXTENDED THE GEAR AND DECLARED AN EMERGENCY. PILOT GOT VISUAL CONFIRMATION OF THE GEAR DOWN FROM ANOTHER PILOT ON THE GROUND AND THE TOWER. PILOT LANDED WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT. AIRCRAFT WAS INSPECTED AND RELEASED FOR REPOSITION TO PBG, VENDOR TROUBLESHOT AND FOUND NLG INDICATION LAMPS INOPERATIVE. REMOVED AND REPLACED NLG INDICATION LAMPS, GEAR RETRACTION AND EXTENSION OPERATIONAL CHECK GOOD IAW MM 32-30-00.
ENROUTE TO KSDF THE CABIN SHOWED SIGNS OF SMOKE WHEN THE RIGHT BLEED AIR WAS TURNED ON. THE SMOKE DISSIPATED WHEN THE RIGHT BLEED WAS TURNED OFF. MAINTENANCE INSPECTED THE RIGHT BLEED AIR SYSTEM AND FOUND RESIDUAL OIL IN THE RIGHT NACELLE BLEED AIR PRE COOLER CAUSING THE SMOKE IN THE CABIN WHEN THE BLEED AIR WAS TURNED ON. REPLACED THE BLEED AIR PRECOOLER. THE CAUSE FOR THE RESIDUAL OIL WAS DUE TO THE RIGHT ENGINE HAVING HIGH OIL CONSUMPTION DUE TO THE ACCY GEAR BOX NOT SCAVENGING THE OIL PROPERLY. THE ENGINE WAS REPLACED ON 11/13/2019.
ON APPROACH INTO KSDF THE PILOT REPORTED SMOKE COMING FROM THE BLEED AIR. THE PILOT TURNED OFF THE RIGHT BLEED AIR AND THE SMOKE DISSIPATED. THE PILOT LANDED AT KSDF WITHOUT INCIDENT. AN EMERGENCY WAS NOT DECLARED. MAINTENANCE TROUBLE SHOT THE RIGHT ENGINE AND FOUND OIL MIGRATING INTO THE BLEED AIR SYSTEM CAUSING THE SMOKE IN THE COCKPIT. THE CAUSE OF THE OIL MIGRATING INTO THE BLEED AIR SYSTEM COULD NOT BE LOCATED WITH THE ENGINE INSTALLED. THE RIGHT ENGINE IS BEING REPLACED. THE SOURCE OF FAILURE WILL BE REPORTED WHEN THE TEAR DOWN REPORT IS RECEIVED FORM THE ENGINE REPAIR FACILITY.
APPROXIMATELY 1HR INTO FLIGHT, RIGHT ENGINE OIL PRESSURE DROPPED TO 40PSI ACCOMPANIED WITH LOW OIL PRESSURE WARNING ANNUNCIATOR LIGHT. CREW COMPLIED WITH CHECKLIST ACTION TO SECURE THE RIGHT ENGINE. THE FLIGHT WAS CONTINUED TO DESTINATION WITH SINGLE ENGINE AND SAFELY LANDED IN KMLI. UPON POST FLIGHT INSPECTION, OIL CAP WAS STILL SECURELY IN PLACE AND OIL FILM WAS DISCOVERED AROUND THE ENGINE ACCESSORIES SECTION. CORRECTIVE ACTION - CONTRACT VENDOR INSPECTED RIGHT ENGINE, NO LEAK WAS DETECTED. PERFORMED AN UNSCHEDULED INSPECTION PER P&WC MM 72-00-00, 12. TRANSIENT OIL PRESSURE LIMITS NOT EXCEEDED PER P&WC 71-00-00 TABLE 503. REMOVED AND REPLACED DIP STICK CAP PACKING WITH NEW, P/N AS3209-222 FOR PRECAUTIONARY. CONSTRAINT MAINTENANCE HAS BEEN SET UP FOR RE-INSPECTION OF MAIN OIL FILTER AFTER 25 HOURS. AIRCRAFT RETURNED TO SERVICES WITHOUT FURTHER ISSUE. WORK PERFORMED BY ELLIOTT AVIATION OF THE QUAD CITY. DURING CRUISE ON TRAINING FLIGHT, THE PILOT SIMULATED AN ENG FIRE BY TESTING AMP SIDE OF THE LT FIRE SYS TO ILLUMINATE THE FIRE WARNING T HANDLE. THE RED LIGHTS ILLUMINATED FOR APPROX ONE SECOND & THEN EXTINGUISHED, DESPITE THE SWITCH STILL BEING DEPRESSED. AFTER SEVERAL SECONDS BOTH PILOTS NOTICED A ELEC BURNING SMELL, THERE WAS NO VISIBLE SIGN OF SMOKE IN COCKPIT. THE PILOT OPENED THE CABIN VENTS IAW CHECKLIST INSTRUCTIONS, THE BURNING SMELL DISSIPATED. THE PILOT DIVERTED BACK & LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT. TROUBLESHOOTING REVEALED, CHAFED WIRE ON LT ENG FIRE DETECTION SYS. REPAIRED CHAFED WIRE & PERFORMED OPERATIONAL CHECK OF FIRE DETECTION SYS. OPERATIONAL CHECKS WERE NORMAL.
DURING CRUISE FLIGHT PILOT ENCOUNTERED HEAVY RAIN & HAIL. PILOT DIVERTED AROUND WEATHER & WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT. GND INSPECTION REVEALED SEVERE HAIL DAMAGE ON LT & RT HORIZONTAL, VERTICAL & LT & RT WING LE. MX IS IN THE PROCESS OF CONTACTING A STRUCTURE DER FOR REPAIR INSTRUCTIONS.
ON CLIMBOUT THE PILOT REPORTED THAT VISIBLE SMOKE AND A SLIGHT OIL SMELL WAS PRESENT WHEN HE TURNED THE BLEED AIR ENVIRONMENTAL SYSTEM ON. THE PILOT SHUT OFF THE ENVIRONMENTAL BLEED AIR SYSTEM AND RETURNED TO KPHX AND LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT. MAINTENANCE PERFORMED A GROUND RUN AND COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE SMOKE OR OIL SMELL. FURTHER INVESTIGATION REVEALED THAT ENGINE OIL WAS PRESENT ON THE INLET SCREEN OF THE LEFT ENGINE. REMOVED THE LEFT ENGINE OIL FILTER HOUSING ASSEMBLY AND REPLACED THE HOUSING O-RING AND BACK UP RING. GROUND RUN LEFT ENGINE NO OIL WAS PRESENT AT THE ENGINE INLET SCREEN AREA. NO SMOKE OR OIL SMELL REPORTED ON SUBSEQUENT FLIGHTS.
