DURING HMBV INSPECTION, FOUND CORROSION AROUND NUT PLATE HOLES ON FLOOR SUPPORT BETWEEN FRAMES 15-16. REPAIRED DIGITAL BY CUTTING OUT DAMAGED AREA AND SPLICING IN A NEW PIECE. AIRCRAFT WAS RETURNED TO SERVICE. (M)

DURING TAXI OUT, CREW RECEIVED BAGGAGE WARNING. CREW VERIFIED NO ACTUAL FIRE PRESENT AND FOLLOWED CHECKLIST AND EXTINGUISHED FIRE BOTTLES. MAINTENANCE REMOVED AND REPLACED FORWARD AND AFT CARGO SMOKE DETECTORS AND CARGO SMOKE DETECT TEST SWITCH IAW EMB MM. OPERATIONAL CHECK WAS GOOD AND AIRCRAFT WAS RETURNED TO SERVICE. FIRE BOTTLES WERE ALSO REPLACED PRIOR TO FLIGHT. (M)
BOS - FLT 4579 - CREW REPORTED A BAGGAGE SMOKE WARNING WHILE ON TAXIWAY. FIRE BOTTLE WAS FIRED THEN A VISUAL CHECK THROUGH THE PEEPHOLE SHOWED NO FIRE. THE INDICATION WENT OUT AT THIS TIME. MAINTENANCE COULD NOT DUPLICATE DISCREPANCY. AN OPERATIONAL CHECK WAS COMPLIED WITH IAW EMB MM WITH NO DEFECTS NOTED. THE FIRE BOTTLE WAS REPLACED AND THE AIRCRAFT WS RETURNED TO SERVICE. (M)
BOS - FLT 4510 - DURING TAXI OUT, CREW REPORTED THE BAGGAGE SMOKE MASTER WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. CREW DISCHARGED THE BAGGAGE FIRE BOTTLE AND RETURNED TO GATE. MAINTENANCE OPENED THE CARGO DOOR AND NOTICED A STRONG ELECTRICAL ODOR. THE CARGO COMPARTMENT FAN WAS REMOVED AND REPLACED IAW EMB MM. OPEATIONAL CHECK WAS GOOD AND AIRCRAFT WAS RETURNED TO SERVICE AFTER FIRE BOTTLE WAS REPLACED. (M)
