DURING A SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE VISIT WHILE PERFORMING A HORIZONTAL STABILIZER ROLLER INSPECTION OF THE HORIZONTAL STABILIZER INBOARD RIB AND BRACKET ASSEMBLIES, THE RIGHT INBOARD RIB WAS FOUND CRACKED. DETAILED INSPECTION INSTRUCTIONS OF THIS AREA ARE OUTLINED IN BEECHJET COMMUNIQUE' NR 70. MAINTENANCE REPLACED BOTH RIBS WITH IMPROVED ASSEMBLIES.

ON CLIMB OUT, CREW REPORTED VERY HOT AIR COMING FROM THE AIR VENTS. CABIN TEMP WAS UNCONTROLLABLE AND REACHED 120 DEG F. AIRCRAFT DIVERTED AND LANDED SAFELY. MAINTENANCE DISCOVERED COCKPIT TEMP CONTROL VALVE LINE SWAPPED WITH CABIN TEMP CONTROL LINE. LINES WERE CORRECTED.

DURING A SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE VISIT WHILE PERFORMING A HORIZONTAL STABILIZER ROLLER INSPECTION THE LT IB HORIZONTAL STABILIZER, THE LT RIB WAS FOUND CRACKED. DETAILED INSPECTION INSTRUCTIONS OF THIS AREA ARE OUTLINED IN MFG COMMUNIQUE' NR 70. BOTH BRACKETS WERE REPLACED.

DURING A SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE VISIT WHILE PERFORMING A HORIZONTAL STABILIZER ROLLER INSPECTION AS PART OF THE (B) LEVEL INSPECTION THE RT IB HORIZONTAL STABILIZER RIB STRUCTURE WAS FOUND CRACKED NEXT TO THE SIDE ROLLER BRACKET. THE HORIZONTAL STABILIZER WAS REMOVED AND THE ROLLER RIB ASSY WAS REPLACED IAW THE SRM. THE HORIZONTAL STABILIZER WAS REINSTALLED AND THE AIRCRAFT WAS RETURNED TO SERVICE.

CREW REPORTED THAT ON CLIMBOUT AT APPROX 23,500 FT THE BLEED AIR DUCT FAIL ANNUNCIATOR ILLUMINATED. THE AIRCRAFT WAS DIVERTED TO KPBI AFTER THE CREW TRIED UNSUCCESSFULLY TO GET THE LIGHT TO EXTINGUISH. AN UNEVENTFUL LANDING WAS COMPLETED IN KPBI. MAINTENANCE HAS DISCOVERED A LEAKING BLEED AIR DUCT THAT HAD DAMAGED THE NEARBY WIRE HARNESS OF THERMAL SWITCH S189. THE WIRING TO THERMAL SWITCH NR 1 WAS REPLACED AND ALL FOUR THERMAL SWITCHES WERE REPLACED. THE BLEED AIR HOSE (P/N 2201859-1), COUPLING (P/N 24502-150 AND 4562-150), 4 GASKETS (P/N 17189-150C) AND INSULATION AROUND THE BLEED AIR SUPPLY LINE WERE REPLACED. OPS CHECKS OF THE BLEED AIR SYSTEM WERE NORMAL. THE AIRCRAFT WAS RETURNED TO SERVICE.

ROLLER RIB AT INBOARD END CRACKED (ASSY P/N 45A21104-642) IN THREE PLACES. RIB, AND BOTH CLIPS. CRACKING IS FROM RIB MATERIAL BEING TOO THIN, IMPROPER RIGGING, OR EXCESSIVE WEAR OF HORIZONTAL STABILIZER HINGE POINTS. SUSPECT RIB MATERIAL IS JUST TOO THIN TO CARRY LOAD FROM ROLLER BRACKET.

CREW REPORTED THAT DURING CLIMB-OUT OF KTEB AT APPROXIMATELY 5,000 FT, THEY HAD FELT A SMALL BUMP. THE REST OF THE FLIGHT WAS WITHOUT INCIDENT. WHILE PERFORMING THE POSTFLIGHT INSPECTION IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT THE LOWER HALF OF THE RIGHT COWLING HAD BEEN TORN AWAY WITH MOST OF THE FASTENERS REMAINING IN PLACE AND LOCKED. MAINTENANCE FITTED AND INSTALLED THE COWLING SUPPORT FRAMES AND A REPLACEMENT COWLING FOR THE RIGHT SIDE. AIRCRAFT WAS RETURNED TO SERVICE.
Part: CLAMP — CHAFED (RT MLG STRUT)
INVESTIGATED COMPLAINT OF UNLOCKED GEAR INDICATION AFTER GEAR RETRACTION. FOUND RIGHT MAIN LANDING GEAR NOT FULLY LOCKING IN RETRACTED POSITION DUE TO INTERFERENCE BETWEEN STRUT ASSEMBLY BRAKE LINE CLAMP AND ADJACENT STRUCTURE. LANDING GEAR RETRACT TESTS SATISFACTORY AFTER REPOSITIONING CLAMP. RECENT MAINTENANCE HISTORY NOT SUPPLIED. BE 400A MLG WHEEL WELLS ARE RELATIVELY TIGHT FIT, AND WHENEVER ANY MAINTENANCE IS PERFORMED AROUND STRUT, A RETRACT SYSTEM TEST SHOULD BE PERFORMED BEFORE RETURNING AIRCRAFT TO SERVICE.
