APPROXIMATELY 30 MINUTES PRIOR TO LANDING RGK, THE FLIGHT CREW RECEIVED A FLAP FAIL AMBER CAS MESSAGE. THE CREW ACCOMPLISHED QRH FOR THE ISSUE AND WERE ONLY ABLE TO GET LEADING EDGE SLATS AND NO FLAPS. REQUIRED RUNWAY LENGTH PROHIBITED LANDING IN RGK SO THE CREW ELECTED TO DIVERT ONTO MSP, 12R AND DECLARED AN EMERGENCY. APPROACH AND LANDING WERE UNEVENTFUL. MAINTENANCE WAS CONTRACTED TO INSPECT AND REPAIR THE AIRCRAFT. TECHNICIANS INSPECTED THE FLAP HANDLE AND FOUND THE INTERNAL COMPONENTS TO BE DUSTY AND DIRTY. THE FLAP HANDLE ASSEMBLY WAS CLEANED, AND OPERATIONAL CHECKS COMPLETED WITH NO FAULTS NOTED. THE AIRCRAFT WAS SUBSEQUENTLY RETURNED TO SERVICE.

AFTER ENGINE START, CREW HAD A NORMAL HYD FLUID QUANTITY OF 56%. ON CLIMB OUT AT AROUND 33,000 FT NOTICED QUANTITY AROUND 28%. AFTER A FEW MINUTES, QTY HAD SLOWLY DROPPED TO 25%. CREW DIVERTED TO CVG, RAN ALL NORMAL CHECKLISTS. ON BASE TO FINAL, CREW RECEIVED A FLAPS FAIL MESSAGE PRIOR TO USING FLAPS. RAN CHECKLIST & ABLE TO GET FLAPS TO RESET & LANDED UNEVENTFULLY. AN EMERGENCY WAS DECLARED BY ATC. NO LOW HYD FLUID CAS MESSAGE WAS EVER POSTED WHICH NORMAL OCCURS AT 16% QTY. CREW SHOWED 20% REMAINING AT TOUCH DOWN IN CVG. TECHNICIANS FOUND THE RT HYD EDP PULSATION DAMPER O-RING LEAKING. O-RING & BACKUP RING REPLACED, LEAK CHECKS PERFORMED, AND THE AIRCRAFT WAS RETURNED TO SERVICE.

DURING CLIMB OUT, FLIGHT CREW NOTED THAT THE LT FUEL TEMP WAS RISING AND SOON AFTER RECEIVED AN AMBER FUEL TEMP L CAS MESSAGE. CREW RAN THE CHECKLIST, AND IN THE MEANTIME THE CAS MESSAGE WENT AWAY, SO THEY CONTINUED THEIR CLIMB. THE FUEL TEMP BEGAN RISING AGAIN AND THE CAS MESSAGE RETURNED. CREW WAS UNCERTAIN AS TO WHAT WAS GOING ON WITH THE FUEL TEMP, SO THEY ELECTED TO DIVERT TO TPA. THEY DECLARED AN EMERGENCY AND LANDED SAFELY AT TPA, WITH NO FURTHER ISSUES. AT PRESENT, THE LT ENGINE IS GETTING REMOVED AND SENT TO A REPAIR FACILITY FOR TROUBLESHOOTING, AND A LOANER ENGINE IS BEING INSTALLED.

WHILE EN ROUTE TO SNA, FLIGHT CREW DETECTED WHAT SEEMED TO BE A CONSTANT BURNING MATCH SMELL IN THE COCKPIT. FLIGHT CREW CONTACTED MC CONTROL, AND THE DECISION WAS MADE TO DIVERT BACK TO LNK, WHERE THEY LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT. DURING TROUBLESHOOTING, MX FOUND THE GALLEY SOLID STATE RELAY (P/N: 106029-1) HAD FAILED. RELAY WAS REPLACED WITH AN INSPECTED UNIT; FUNCTIONAL TEST WAS NORMAL. THE AIRCRAFT WAS RETURNED TO SERVICE.

AT FL450, FLIGHT CREW NOTED THE LT BATTERY VOLTAGE WAS AMBER AND INDICATING BETWEEN 30V AND 31V AND FLUCTUATING, ALSO NOTED BATTERY TEMPERATURE ON THE LEFT WAS SLIGHTLY HIGHER THAN THE RIGHT AND WAS SLOWLY INCREASING, ALL OTHER INDICATIONS WERE NORMAL. CREW RAN THE CHECKLIST AND WITH THE BATTERY TEMP CONTINUALLY INCREASING, SELECTED THE AFFECTED SIDE BATTERY TO OFF. THIS ACTION CAUSED THE LOSS OF ALL FLIGHT DATA FOR THE PF AND THE NR 1 IRS WENT OFFLINE ALONG WITH MULTIPLE ELECTRICAL RELATED CAS MESSAGES. THE AIRCRAFT BEGAN TO RAPIDLY DEPRESSURIZE, SO THE CREW DONNED OXYGEN MASKS, AND DECLARED AN EMERGENCY. CONDUCTED AN EMERGENCY DESCENT AND NOTED THAT THE CABIN ALTITUDE REMAINED AT 13,000FT FOR A PERIOD OF TIME AND THEN BEGAN TO DESCEND SLOWLY. THE DECISION WAS MADE TO DIVERT, AND THEY LANDED UNEVENTFULLY. FOUND THE GCU FAULTY, PART NUMBER S3106-3 WAS FOUND TO BE SHORTED AND WAS REPLACED.

FLIGHT CONTINUED TO DESTINATION WHERE THE CREW ELECTED TO DIVERT, DUE TO A LONGER RUNWAY AVAILABLE. AN EMERGENCY WAS DECLARED AND THE CREW LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT. ONCE ON THE GROUND THE CREW WAS ABLE TO RESET THE FLAPS AND AN, INFO ONLY, SQUAWK WAS ENTERED INTO THE DISCREPANCY LOG. THE FLAP CONTROLLER (P/N 6718328-1) WAS FOUND TO BE AT FAULT WITH AN INTERNAL FAILURE AND FLAP BITE CODE 7 PRESENT. THE CONTROLLER WAS REPLACED AND FLAP SYSTEM OPERATIONAL CHECKS PERFORMED, WITH NO DEFECTS NOTED. A SUCCESSFUL CONFIDENCE FLIGHT WAS ACCOMPLISHED.
