CREW RECEIVED A LT ENGINE FIRE WARNING INDICATION WHILE CLIMBING TO ALTITUDE. CREW FOLLOWED CHECKLIST PROCEDURES AND REDUCED POWER ON LT ENGINE. WARNING LIGHT EXTINGUISHED AFTER 10 SECONDS IAW THE PIC. ACFT RETURNED TO DEPARTURE AIRPORT FOR AN UNEVENTFUL LANDING. MAINTENANCE INSPECTED AND RAN LT ENGINE AND FOUND THE HIGH PRESSURE BLEED AIR DUCT LEAKING AT THE PLUMBING TO ENGINE CONNECTION. THIS CONNECTION IS IN CLOSE PROXIMITY TO THE FIRE DETECTION LOOP. MAINTENANCE REPLACED THE GASKET AT THE CONNECTION AND RAN THE ENGINE AGAIN. NO LEAKAGE WAS NOTED. ACFT WAS RELEASED FROM MAINTENANCE.
LT ENGINE FLAMED OUT AT 40,000FT, DURING CRUISE IN TURBULENT AIR. PILOT DESCENDED TO A LOWER ALTITUDE AND PERFORMED A SUCCESSFUL RELIGHT OF THE ENGINE. NO ABNORMAL ENGINE PERFORMANCE ISSUES NOTED. ACFT CONTINUED TO THE INTENDED DESTINATION. THE ACFT LANDED, WHERE THE PILOT PERFORMED THE VISUAL INSPECTIONS OF THE ENGINE INLET AND TAIL PIPE IAW THE FLIGHT MANUAL AND OPERATIONS MANUAL, CHAPTER 7, MECHANICAL IRREGULARITIES, REPORTING AND RECORDING.
CREW REPORTED RT FIRE WARNING LIGHT FLICKERING WHEN POWER LEVER WAS PULLED BACK TO THE IDLE POSITION. NO SECONDARY INDICATIONS NOTED. FOUND EXHAUST CASE LEAKING AT A FLANGE BOSS. FURTHER INVESTIGATION AFTER REMOVAL OF THE EXHAUST CASE, FOUND SLIGHT TURBINE FOD ENGINE REMOVED FOR REPAIR AND REPLACED.
PILOT REPORTED RT ENGINE FIRE WARNING LIGHT FLICKERING ON DESCENT WITH POWER LEVER REDUCED TO IDLE SPEED. FOUND EXHAUST CASE, CENTER BODY, UPPER RIGHT STRUT SUPPORT FLANGE GASKET BROKEN. REPLACED GASKET WITH NEW GASKET. PERFORMED ENGINE RUN UP AND LEAK-CHECK OF EXHAUST CASE AND ENGINE FIRE WARNING TESTS IAW THE MM AND THE SRM.
AIRCRAFT DEVELOPED VIBRATION. REPLACED LT STARTER GENERATOR WITH SERVICEABLE REPAIRED UNIT, GROUND OPERATIONAL CHECK GOOD. NO RECOMMENDATION FOR PREVENTION.
