FLIGHT 7799 ENROUTE GEG - EAT/AIR TURNBACK DISCREPANCY: APPROXIMATELY 10 MINUTES AFTER DEPARTURE, WHILE LEVEL IN CRUISE FLIGHT, THE ENGINE FIRE ANNUNCIATOR LIGHT AND WARNING HORN ACTIVATED IN FLIGHT. PILOT DECLARED AN EMERGENCY AND RETURNED TO GEG. LANDED WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT. CORRECTIVE ACTION: MAINTENANCE REPLACED A FIRE LOOP. OPS CHECK GOOD.
CONSTANT FUEL ODOR IN THE COCKPIT DURING FLIGHT. MAINTENANCE REMOVED THE CARGO LINER AND INSPECTED THE FUEL LINES FROM WINGS. PULLED FLOORBOARDS AND INSPECTED FUEL LINES FROM RESERVOIR. NO ODOR OR LEAKS DETECTED.
FLIGHT 7800. FUEL ODOR IN COCKPIT DURING TAXI/TURNS ON GROUND AND IN FLIGHT. NO FUEL ODOR IN COCKPIT DURING TAXI/TURNING. CLEANED AIRCRAFT INTERIOR. NO LEAKS FOUND.
PRIMARY FLAP CIRCUIT BREAKER POPPED, FLAPS WILL NOT RETRACT. FOUND FLAP ACTUATOR SUPPORT BRACKET ASSEMBLY CRACKED AND DEFORMED. CESSNA CAME OUT WITH A SERVICE KIT SK208-158 IN APRIL 4, 2005 TO ADDRESS THIS ISSUE BY INSTALLING A NEW "FLAP ACTUATOR SUPPORT BRACKET ASSEMBLY". THIS AIRCRAFT HAD NOT PREVIOUSLY INCORPORATED SK208-158.
THE RT INBOARD CONTROL HORN ATTACHMENT RIVETS FOUND WORKING ON ELEVATOR TORQUE TUBE ASSY. RT ELEVATOR CONTROL HORN EXHIBITED ROTATIONAL AND LATERAL MOVEMENT ON TORQUE TUBE. RIVET HOLES, CONTROL HORN AND TORQUE TUBE EXHIBITED FRETTING CORROSION. REMOVED AND REPLACED TORQUE TUBE ASSY.
TIRE WENT FLAT AFTER LANDING, FLT 7689 SLE TO PDX. UPON LANDING IN PDX THE PILOT NOTICE THE RT MLG TIRE FELT SOFT. AS THE AIRCRAFT SLOWED THE TIRE WENT FLAT. AIRCRAFT SAFELY CLEARED RUNWAY AND STOPPED. REMOVED AND REPLACED RT MAIN WHEEL ASSEMBLY. (A)
ON CLIMB OUT FOR DEPARTURE, PILOT EXPERIENCED BINDING IN THE AILERON CONTROL SYSTEM. THE PILOT INITIATED AN AIR TURN BACK AND LANDED WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT. NO INFLIGHT EMERGENCY WAS DECLARED. TROUBLESHOOTING REVEALED THE COVER ON THE ROLL SERVO WAS MISALIGNED. THE COVER WAS REMOVED AND REINSTALLED IN THE PROPER POSITION. A FUNCTIONAL CHECK FLIGHT WAS ACCOMPLISHED AND THE AIRCRAFT WAS RETURNED TO SERVICE.
SMOKE FROM UNDER INSTRUMENT PANEL AFTER TURNING ON PROPELLER HEAT. MAINTENANCE FOUND CHAFFED WIRE DUE TO CONTACT WITH THE BACKSHELL OF A CANNON PLUG. THE WIRE WAS REPAIRED AND TEH WIRE BUNDLE WAS REPOSITIONED TO PREVENT REOCCURRANCE. THE A/C WAS RETURNED TO SERVICE. (M)
