DURING FLIGHT IAD TO SDL WITH OWNER ON-BOARD AND THEY LOST HYD A FLUID IN FLIGHT. THE INDICATOR WENT DOWN TO %9 FAST. THE PILOT PULLED THE PTU CB. DECLARED AN EMERGENCY AND LANDED SAFELY AT KSTL.
FOUND CRACK IN RH AUXILIARY WING SPAR INBOARD ATTACH FITTING. LOCATED ON AFT CLOSEOUT OF RH MLG WHEEL WELL AT FS446.38. CRACK EXTENDS FROM BOLT HOLE TO BOLT HOLE THROUGH WEB IN FITTING. FOUND BY VISUAL INSPECTION DURING SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE.
STALL VANE/LIFT DETECTOR GAVE COUNTINUOUS STALL WARNING DUE TO WATER ENTRY INTO SWITCH. 2ND FAILURE. OPERATOR HAS NUMEROUS FAILURES OF SAME TYPE VANES WHENEVER AIRCRAFT FLY IN RAIN. SUBMITTER STATED UNITS NEED TO BE WATERPROOFED. VERY DANGEROUS FAILURE MODE, AS PILOT'S MUST PULL CIRCUIT BREAKER TO SHUT OFF STALL HORN, WHICH LEAVES THEM NO STALL WARNING AT ALL.

RIGHT ENGINE STARTER WOULD NOT ENGAGE. FOUND MOTOR HOUSING SEPARATED FROM BENDIX DRIVE SECTION DUE TO BROKEN ATTACH BOLTS. SECOND UNIT WITH THIS PROBLEM IN OUR FLEET.

VERNATHERM VALVE SEAT RETAINING NUT STRIPPED AND SEPARATED FOR SHAFT OF VALVE. ALSO, RETAINING CLIP FOR VERNATHERM BODY BROKEN INTO 2 PARTS, AND BODY BROKEN AT CLIP ATTACH AREA.
