REPAIR CRACK IN THE UPPER WING SKIN AT WSTA 111 STRINGER 10R. STOP DRILL CRACK & INSTALL AN EXTERNAL DOUBLER MADE FROM 7075-T6 0.080 IAW DWG 1429-01 & DC-6 A & B OVERHAUL MANUAL FIGURE 13-30.
AILERONS BINDING ON TAKEOFF AFTER GEAR RETRACTION (BEFORE TAKEOFF CONTROL CHECK) NORMAL. FOUND THAT THE AILERON SPRING TAB MECHANISM WAS BINDING PREVENTING MOVEMENT OF THE TAB SYSTEM WHICH IN TURN INCREASED THE FORCES REQUIRED TO MOVE THE AILERONS.
TAKEOFF WARNING HORN INTERMITTENT ON TAKEOFF. REPLACED NR 4 PROPELLER TAKEOFF WARNING RELAY. OP CHECKED GOOD.
NR 1 ENGINE FEATHERED DUE TO NR 11 CYLINDER DOUBLE SHORTED SECONDARY. REPLACED BOTH FRONT AND REAR SPARK PLUGS ON NR 11 CYLINDER. CHECKED GOOD.
NR 2 ENGINE PRECAUTIONARY SHUT DOWN DUE TO LOSS OF LEFT DISTRIBUTOR. REPLACED NR 2 ENGINE MAGNETO. CHECK GOOD.
UNSAFE NOSE WHEEL INDICATION. REMOVED NOSE GEAR DOWN & LOCK SWITCH ASSEMBLY, CLEANED CONTACTS, REASSEMBLED, RIGGED AND SWUNG NOSE GEAR. OP CHECK GOOD. (CLEANED INSPECTION WINDOW).
NR 3 ENGINE PRECAUTIONARY SHUT DOWN DUE TO NR 3 CYLINDER DOUBLE SHORTED SECONDARY. REPLACED BOTH INTAKE AND EXHAUST PUSH RODS AND ADJUSTED VALVES. OP CHECKED GOOD.
NR 2 ENGINE RUNNING ROUGH AND LOOSING OIL. ENGINE/PROP OVERSPEED 3500 RPM. REPLACED NR 2 ENGINE.
NR 1 PRECAUTIONARY ENGINE SHUT DOWN DUE TO NR 16 CYLINDER DOUBLE SHORTED SECONDARY. REMOVED AND REPLACED NR 16 CYLINDER FRONT AND REAR SPARK PLUGS. CHECKED GOOD.
NR 4 ENGINE SHUT DOWN DUE TO BACK FIRING. REPLACED NR 18 CYLINDER FRONT AND REAR SPARK PLUGS.
NR 3 ENGINE PRECAUTIONARY SHUT DOWN FOR A NR 2 CYLINDER SHORTED SECONDARY. REPLACED NR 2 CYLINDER.
TOP OF FUSELAGE STA 640, LAP SEAM CORRODED AND SKIN CRACKED BETWEEN L-4 AND L5. REMOVED CORRODED AND DAMAGED AREA. FABRICATED AND INSTALLED FILLER AND DOUBLER PER NAC DRAWING NAC011 REV 32.
RIGHT WING NR 23 STRINGER CAP CRACKED AT STA 325. FABRICATED AND INSTALLED 2 DOUBLERS PER DRAWING NAC2002-02.
PRECAUTIONARY SHUT DOWN NR 2 ENGINE, DUE TO BACKFIRING. NR 16 CYLINDER LEFT A LONG RESISTANCE PATTERN, RIGHT SHORTED SECONDARY. INSPECTED THE NR 16 CYLINDER, REPLACED LEFT AND RIGHT SPARK PLUGS AND SHORT LEADS.
STRONG EXHAUST ODOR IN COCKPIT, CO² DETECTOR TURNING BLACK. INSPECTED CABIN HEATER, NO DEFECTS NOTED. REPLACED CO² DETECTOR, AND OPERATED CABIN HEATER FOR 1 HOUR, NO EXHAUST ODOR NOTED. CO² DETECTOR REMAINED CLEAR, OK FOR SERVICE.
STRINGER 17 CRACKED AT WING STA L40. REPAIRED STRINGER 17 AT WING STA L40 IAW NAC 2001-05.
STRINGER 17 CRACKED AT WING, STA 140. REPAIRED 17 AT WING STA L40 IAW NAC 2001-05.
NR 4 ENGINE RUNS ROUGH AND ANALYZER SHOWED LOW COMPRESSION. REPLACED NR 3 CYLINDER.
NR 3 ENGINE NR 13 CYLINDER LT & RT NO COMBUSTION PATTERN ON ANALYZER. REMOVED AND REPLACED THE NR 13 CYLINDER.
PRECAUTIONARY SHUTDOWN NR 1 ENGINE DUE TO RUNNING ROUGH AT 2340Z. NR 13 CYLINDER HEAD CRACKED, REPLACED CYLINDER. (M)
