FLIGHT 7804, PDX - PSC AIR TURNBACK/DISCREPANCY: POD A DOOR OPENED DURING TAKEOFF. AIRCRAFT WAS RETURNED TO PDX. NO EMERGENCY WAS DECLARED. LANDED WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT. CORRECTIVE ACTION: MAINTENANCE INSPECTED THE POD A DOOR LATCHES AND POD DOOR. NO DEFECTS NOTED.
AFTER TAKEOFF, THE DOOR WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. PILOT RETURNED TO DEPARTURE. NO EMERGENCY DECLARED. LANDED WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT. PILOT DISCOVERED DOOR PIN ON LATCH HAD COME LOOSE. RECLOSED DOOR, LIGHT WENT OUT AND DID NOT COME BACK ON.
FLIGHT 7778, TURN BACK DISCREPANCY. AFTER DEPARTURE, THE PILOT OBSERVED THAT THE ENG OIL TEMP EXCEEDED THE MAXIMUM ALLOWABLE. THE ACFT WAS RETURNED, NO EMER WAS DECLARED. ONCE PARTS ARRIVED, REPLACED THE OIL PRESS & TEMP INDICATOR. OPERATIONS CHECKED GOOD. ACFT WAS RETURNED TO SERVICE.
INPS PDX / LEVEL 2 CORROSION: DURING INSPECTION FOUND ALL 5 CARGO AREA SEAT TRACKS CORRODED BEYOND SERVICEABLE LIMITS IN VARIOUS LOCATIONS. DAMAGE RANGES BETWEEN FUSELAGE STATION 166 - 332. REMOVE AND REPLACE SEAT TRACKS WITH FACTORY REPLACEMENT PARTS. (PNS 2611040-1, 2611040-2, 2611040-3, 2611040-5 AND 2611040-12).
DURING INSPECTION, FOUND CARGO AREA SEAT TRACK CORRODED BEYOND SERVICEABLE LIMITS. DAMAGE IS MOSTLY FOUND BETWEEN FUSELAGE STATION 282 AND 332, SOME DAMAGE DOES EXIST IN THE AREAS BETWEEN FUSELAGE STATION 166-332. REMOVED AND REPLACED CARGO SEAT TRACK.
TAXI BACK, OVERSPEED GOVERNOR TEST FAILED DURING GROUND RUN UP. PROP RPM WENT TO RED LINE. REMOVED AND REPLACED OVERSPEED GOVERNOR. ACFT RETURNED TO SERVICE.
RETURN TO BLOCKS. FLT NR 8690 PDX TO MFR. ACFT TAXIED TO RUNWAY RUN UP AREA. WITH ENGINE RUNS COMPLETED, ATTEMPTS TO CONTACT CLEARANCE DELIVERY FOUND NO VOICE BEING TRANSMITTED FROM EITHER NR 1 OR NR 2 RADIOS. ACFT WAS TAXIED BACK SAFELY TO BLOCKS FOR MX. R&R THE PILOTS PUSH TO TALK SWITCH.
UNSCHEDULED LANDING, WHILE ENROUTE, THE FUEL FLOW GAGE BEGAN TO FLUCTURATE BETWEEN 150 AND 300 PPH. THE PAR (POWER ANALYZING RECORDER) WAS ALSO SHOWING THE SAME FLUCTUATION. THE FUEL FLOW TRANSDUCER WAS REMOVED AND REPLACED. (K)
ENROUTE- PILOT NOTICED OIL PRESSURE LOSS. PILOT SECURED THE ENGINE AND COMPLETED EMERGENCY CHECK LIST. EMERGENCY CREWS WERE CALLED. AIRCRAFT LANDED IN EUG WITHOUT INCIDENT. MAINTENANCE REMOVED AND REPLACED ENGINE. OPS CHECKED GOOD. AIRCRAFT RETURNED TO SERVICE. (M)
