ODORS IN COCKPIT / CABIN: WE HAVE NOTICED AN INCREASING ODOR IN BOTH COCKPIT AND CABIN OF THE AIRCRAFT. SMELL IS A MUSTY/DIRTY SOCK TYPE SMELL. SEAMS TO BE MORE PREVELANT WITH BLEED OFF OF THE APU AND WHEN PRODUCING HEAT. DISCONNECTED, CLEANED & RECONNECTED DRAIN TUBE FROM WATER EXTRACTOR IAW AMM 21-52-29-400-801. NO WATER NOTED, A SHARP BEND IN RUBBER DRAIN TUBE NOTICED PRIOR TO DISCONNECTING TUBE. DISCONNECTED, CLEANED & RECONNECTED FLEXIBLE DRAIN HOSES IAW AMM 21-52-13-000-801 / 21-52-13-400-801. NO BLOCKAGES FOUND. DISCONNECTED, & RECONNECTED TUBE FROM WATER EXTRACTOR TO PRECOOLER IAW AMM 21-52-29-400-801. NO DEFECTS NOTED. PRESSURIZED A/C SYSTEM IAW AMM 21-00-00-862-801 & 21-00-00-862-803. NO ODORS.
BLEED AIR: TRANSFERRED BLEEDS FROM APU TO ENGINES, SHUT DOWN APU. BEGAN NOISE ABATEMENT TAKEOFF. BOTH CREWMEMBERS DETECTED SMOKE SO WE ABORTED TAKEOFF. DID NOT RECEIVE A SMOKE OR FIRE WARNING FROM ENGINES, APU OR BAGGAGE. NO SMOKE DETECTED IN AFT ACCESS AREA. NO BLEED FAULT CAS. REMOVED AND REPLACED ACM PN OFF/ON 3471A020000, SN OFF 00999, SN ON 00647.
MAIN DOOR: THERE APPEARS TO BE A HYDRAULIC LEAK COMING FROM THE MAIN CABIN DOOR.
PRIMARY AND SECONDARY STAB TRIMS FAILED IN CRUISE FLIGHT (ALTITUDE WAS FL 300 AT MACH .77). REMOVED AND REPLACED HORIZONTAL STABILIZER PRIMARY TRIM ACTUATOR IAW CESSNA 650 MM 27-40-01 AND PERFORMED APPLICABLE CHECKS. OPS CHECKED GOOD.
PRIMARY TRIM FAIL ENUNCIATOR ILLUMINATED IN FLT. FOLLOWED EMERGENCY CHECKLIST. SECONDARY TRIM FAILED TO MOVE STABILIZER. SEC. TRIM FAULT ENUNCIATOR WAS NOT ILLUMINATED AND NO TRIM CLACKER HEARD. - REMOVED AND REPLACED HORIZONTAL STABILIZER ACTUATOR CONTROLLER. OPS CHECK GOOD. IAW CE 650 MM CH 27-40-01
LANDING GEAR UNLOCK ANNUNCIATOR REMAINED ILLUMINATED AFTER GEAR RETRACTION. VERIFIED SQUAWK, DETERMINED LDG GEAR UPLOCK SWITCH TARGET ON RT MAIN WAS OUT OF ADJUSTMENT. ADJUSTED TARGET TO CONTACT SWITCH. OPERATIONAL CHECK OF GEAR WAS COMPLETED SATSFACTORY. PERFORMED IAW MODEL MM.
GEAR WOULD NOT RETRACT AFTER TAKEOFF. REMOVED AND REPLACED LANDING GEAR SELECTOR PER CESSNA 650 MM 32-30-01, OPS CHECK GOOD.
AUX HYD PRESS, SPOILER HOLDDOWN, HYD PRESS LOW LT AND RT. AILERON BOOST OFF. ANNUNCIATORS ALL ILLUMINATED. UPON GEAR RETRACTION GREEN LIGHTS WENT OUT BUT RED UNLOCKED LIGHT STAYED ON. AUDIBLE DRAG NOISE AND CLUNK NOISE HEARD. DRAG NOISE DISSIPATED AND RED UNLOCKED LIGHT WENT OUT. WHEN AUX HYDRAULIC PUMP WAS TURNED ON, ALL OF ABOVE ANNUNCIATORS WENT OUT. HYDRAULIC VOLUME GAUGE PEGGED TO MAX FULL. FOUND AIR IN HYDRAULIC SYSTEM. BLED SYSTEM AS NEEDED. REMOVED LT HYDRAULIC PUMP AND INSTALLED ON RT SIDE FOR CONVENIENCE. REMOVED RT HYDRAULIC PUMP AND INSTALLED ON LT SIDE FOR CONVENIENCE. PERFORMED SATISFACTORY ENGINE GROUND RUN AND LEAK CHECK. WORK DONE IAW CESSNA 750 MM 29-10-04 AND 12-10-15.
AFTER TWO NORMAL ENGINE STARTS AND WHILE THE ENGINES WERE RUNNING, BEFORE TAXI CHECKS THE NUMBER 1 ENGINE FLAMED OUT. CHECKED AND CONFIRMED RIGGING OK, CHECKED FILTER BOWL AND FILTER, NO SIGNS OF WATER OR CONTAMINENTS, NO FAULTS ON DEEC'S, OPS CHECKS OF ENGS GOOD, POSITIVE ACCELERATION AND GOOD SLAM CHECK OF THROTTLE LEVERS. REPLACED NR 1 ENG FUEL FILTER, OP AND LEAK CHECK GOOD.
LEFT ENGINE OIL PRESS LOW ANNUNCIATOR CAME ON DURING DESCENT. OIL PRESSURE GAUGE WAS FLUCTUATING BETWEEN 25 - 40 PSI. AFTER LANDING, ENGINE HAD NO OIL LEFT IN IT. ENG INSPECTED & RESERVICED WITH OIL & CHECKED CHIP DETECTOR ALL GROUND RUN NO DEFECTS, ALL GEARBOX SUMP PRESSURE CHECKS IAW 731-9R CMM ALL OK. REPAIRED ACCY GEARBOX LEAK BY REPLACING FWD 3 EA CARBON & GARLOC SEALS. REPLACED WORN HYD PUMP DRIVE GEARSHAFT IN ACCY GEARBOX IAW 731-4R M/M & GARRETT MM.
AUTOPILOT WILL CLIMB BY ITSELF WHILE IN ALTITUDE HOLD MODE ABOUT 200 FT. WHEN DESCENDING IN ANY MODE AUTOPILOT INITIATES A CLIMB AS IF YOU ARE OVERSPEEDING EVERY 500 FEET. PERFORMED OPERATIONAL CHECK OF VS AND FLC MODES USING DRUCK AIR DATA TEST. OP'S CHECKED FOUND TO BE NORMAL LEVELED AIRCRAFT AND CHECKED LEVELING OF AHRU UNITS. FOUND NR 1 ATTRS RACK SLIGHTLY OUT OF ALIGNMENT. SHIMMED RACK AS NECESSARY PER HONEYWELL SP2 8000 SYS MANUAL LEVEL CHECKED GOOD. OP'S CHECKED GOOD ON AUTOPILOT FLIGHT DIRECTION.
RT AIRSPEED INDICATOR DID NOT OPERATE DURING TAKEOFF ROLL. INSPECTED LINES FOR CO-PILOTS PITOT SYSTEM & PERFORMED OPERATIONAL CHECK OF AIRSPEED SYSTEM SATISFACTORY IAW CE 650 MM 34-11-03.
WHILE ON GROUND, MASTER WARNING AND SMOKE LIGHT CAME ON, ENGINE WERE AT IDLE, APU ON. NOTICED SMOKE AND FAINT ODOR COMING OUT FROM BETWEEN THE LAV DOOR POCKET AND RIGHT REAR OVERHEAD LIGHT. PERFORMED ENGINE RUNS, WITH APU ON, COULD NOT SMELL SMOKE IN CABIN BUT HEAVY CONDENSATION COMING OUT OF WEMACS FLOOR VENTS AND SIDEWALL VENTS, CAUSING THE MASTER WARNING & SMOKE LIGHT TO COME ON FOR A SPLIT SECOND. PLACED CLIMATE CONTROL IN FULL COLD POSITION TO FULL HOT, NO CONDENSATION, NO MASTER WARNING. REMOVED COALESCER SOCKS FROM BOTH WATER SEPARATORS, CLEANED AND AIR DRIED THEN REINSTALLED. PERFORMED A FUNCTIONAL CHECK OF CLIMATE CONTROL OPS CHECK GOOD, WORK PERFORMED IAW CESSNA650 MM CHAPTER 12-10-01.
AFTER TAKEOFF ATTEMPTED TO RETRACT GEAR AND FOUND GEAR HANDLE WOULD NOT COME UP. ACCOMPLISHED AIR TURNBACK TO HPN. INSPECTED WIRING IN NOSE WHEEL WELL, FOUND NOSE WHEEL OFF CENTERED SWITCH WIRES BROKEN AT PLUG JN2 PINS (A + B). REMOVED BROKEN WIRES FROM PLUG JN2 PINS (A + B), REPINNED PLUG JN2 PINS (A + B) IAW CESSNA 650 WIRE DIAGRAM MANUAL CHAPTER 32-50-01-01. PERFORMED GEAR RETRACTION CHECK IAW CESSNA 650 MM CHAPTER 32-00-01, NO DEFECTS NOTED AT THIS TIME.
AFTER DRAINING FUEL SUMP DURING PRE-FLIGHT INSPECTION, FOUND FUEL SUMP DRAIN LEAKING FUEL. FOUND FUEL SUMP DRAIN ORING DRY ROTTED. REMOVED AND REPLACED O-RING. THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM, NEW O-RING MATERIAL NEEDED.
